This was one of the products I received in the latest Beauty Box and I have been delighted ever since. It came in a nice little box white with dark pink and grey writing and a lovely floral pattern inside the lid of the box. This felt really special before I had even emptied the nice brown glass bottle with a black top and spray.Made in NZ is always a plis and I find each time i try Trilogy's products I get more sold on their products. The spray is nice and easy to use and delivers a good spray with a light touch. The scent at first was a little overpowering which I feel was the geranium and later the rose scent came through. I lightly smelt the lavender. This is an unusual mix however I found with ongoing use I enjoy the scent. The toner is refreshing on my skin and with all the muggy weather we have been having has been lovely to just give a little squirt to freshen up. I have noticed the pores on my skin have reduced and my skin feels really fresh after use. I will certainly be purchasing this again and my skin has certainly benefited from using.

Tips: Keep a bottle at work for the time of day when you start to sag a little as it will freshen you up.
I also received this product in the last Beauty Box and I got very excited when I saw it as I used to use another similar product that I loved. The Trilogy mist is lovely, it has a beautiful fragrance of roses that I would usually be put off by but this is not over powering and in fact is quite calming. It doesn't take long for the moisture to sink in and leaves your face feeling refreshed. I have used it during the day over my makeup for a pick me up/boost and I will definitely purchase again.
I received this of course in the wonderful, NZ brands BBBE. Trilogy didn't win me completely over when I first started using their products but I am starting to love them and this toner mist is winning me over.
The frosted brown glass bottle with the spray nozzle is true trilogy style and matches in with most other products in this range. The nozzle is perfect I have used approximately half the bottle and it hasn't clogged once and sprays the same every time.
I hold the bottles out 20-30cm from my face and spray about 2-3 sprays, the cooling mist feels so good especially on the hot summer days we have been having, I have often been walking into the bedroom and spraying my face just to try cool down and feel a bit fresher. The scent of this I love, it is quite a strong rose scent but you also get a hint of the lavender. It's not sickly or overpowering but then again I do like the stronger scents.
As for the hydration part I'm still slightly unsure whether it is actually hydrating my skin it feels nice but I'm not entirely convinced it is down to this mist. I do love it though for the fresh feeling on these hotter days. Would I repurchase again? Probably only in the summer time.
I received this product in the NZ brands BBBE and i love it. I was super excited to see some Trilogy in the box as every product i have used i have loved. I use it every day after a shower. I tend to get super hot and scratchy face after a hot shower so this product really soothe's my skin. It comes in true trilogy style in a frosted spray bottle and is easy to spray, I've never had any issues with the spritz clogging up. I feel like my skin is feeling a lot fresher after using it for a couple of months so I will see how i get on.
I love Trilogy products and this one didn't disappoint! I had never heard of the hydrating mist toner so I was excited to find it in my NZ brands BBBE box and it has now become part of my morning routine. It smells great, nothing overpowering which is great. I just mist it on my face after a shower then get dressed while it droes, which does not take long at all, then moisturise. The spray makes it so convenient and it feels so refreshing on the skin once applied. I would definitely recommend.
OK, in all honesty when I opened my NZ Brands Best Beauty Box ever and saw the Hydrating Mist Toner from Trilogy I kind of looked at it and went 'Huh? What in the world is this?'
Do I question it now?! Nope. I did google it and read more into it.
This Trilogy product comes in a brown frosted glass bottle with the trilogy sticker wrapped around it. A spritz applicator which is where the idea of the 'mist' comes from.
This product smells of roses a subtle scent of roses. It reminds me of walking through my Nana's rose gardens as a child. Such a beautiful smell.
I started using it in the mornings just holding it back from my face and spraying 2-4 times. I usually moisturise my face in the mornings or during the day when I feel my face is a bit dry or just before I do my makeup. So instead I tried this as it's mean't to hydrate the skin.
With 2-4 squirts of basically what feels like water on your face I go about my morning and let it dry. It drys like nothing. Not tacky. Not moisturised. Not sticky. Literally just vanishes into your skin
This I did feel hydrated my skin but I needed to moisturise. Hydrate? At the time yes but once dried and vanished I needed moisturiser. I started using it only in the mornings but found myself spraying my face during the day with it at random wjen my skin needed it and just because it felt amazing on my skin as well. I only did/do this on non makeup days :)
Thanks again to the Best Beauty Box Ever for this wee gem. As with any Trilogy product I have tried this was instant attraction. Packaging is simple and clean looking and inside is a beautiful array of colour with an image of rose hips.
The glass bottle with spritzing pump was quite heavy given it's size and feels like good quality. The spritzer too a couple of pumps to get going which was actually pretty quick. It sprays nicely and mists well. The scent is strong rose/geranium and the lavender is hardly detectable.
It feels hydrating for about a minute or so before it fully dries and leaves skin feeling fresh... a great pick me up after a night out or just for when the kids have had you up all night.
I do find the scent a bit too strong and makes me feel a little light headed (I am sensitive to some scents giving me migraines) but I can happily spray a couple of times a day without too much of a problem (I use one or two pumps at a time).
I see this will last a while as it has hardly gone down much since I started using it. I also like how it can be used over makeup (for days that I wear it).
My skin overall hasn't seen any noticeable improvements so far (only been a couple of weeks) but it is nice to use as a pick-me-up.
As soon as I saw the Trilogy Hydrating mist toner in the box I was excited to try it - I really do love Trilogy products. I was a bit worried that the rose would be overpowering, but I was pleasantly surprised when I sprayed the first spritz.
Firstly, the packaging is gorgeous, in its brown glass bottle. Really simple and clean and beautiful.
For the first few applications I used it as a spritz, which was nice, but after a while I started using it on cotton pads and wiping over my face after cleansing and I feel I am getting better results from it that way.
It feels lovely and refreshing and hydrating on my skin, I have a combination oily/dry skin and don't find this too much for my oily areas at all.
I will definitely consider purchasing this when my bottle runs out for sure.
Tips: Use on cotton pads if you want to use it as a toner to remove any traces of cleanser.
This product was in the BBBE. I’ve liked the Trilogy products I’ve tried to date, so was happy to try this one.
The red and the white box and the brown pump bottle the product comes in, are both easily identified as Trilogy brand.
The instructions say to spray from the bottle, held at least 30cm from face. Well, I wasn’t sure about blasting myself in the face with a liquid aerosol but I did it anyway..pow! actually, it is pretty nice. The blast of liquid is refreshing and comes with an explosion of rose scent, which is at the same time old fashioned but cottage-y and clean.
The mist dries quickly and leaves no residue, just a fresh and uplifting feel, as is claimed on the box, and doesn’t have the slight sting that can come with alcohol-based toners.
It’s a great product to tone skin between cleansing and moisturising, or for clammy skin on a hot day. $29.90 is a fair price.
I recommend it to others to try.
Tips: Keep your eyes shut while spraying !!
I have sensitive oily skin and against my better judgement I decided to give this a go. Unfortunately I have reacted to the last 3 skincare products I have used from this brand. Kindly note this is not to say there is anything wrong with the products or the brand but more so with me just having sensitive skin.
I thought that since it's a mist, it'll be gentle and go on lightly so I shouldn't have any issues. I do appreciate the frosted glass packaging and a functional nozzle. I can tell you now that I really hated the herbal rose scent which is quite pungent and does linger on the skin but over the course of a week I eventually got over it.
I noticed when I spritzed my face it was refreshing (as are most mists) but my lips felt like they were shriveling up and somewhat semi-parched which really should have been a sign for me to stop there. The rest of my face felt and looked normal but I didn't find the toner very hydrating.
After I cleanse I would tone using 4 spritz about an elbow length away and if I didn't add a facial serum or moisturiser after the toner my face would feel semi-tight. It was nothing dramatic (because I've felt worse) but again this should have been a sign for me to stop.
It took two weeks for me to react to the mist where I developed red/pink dry patches all over my face and was uncomfortable to touch but not to worry this is generally what happens when I react. I will be passing this onto someone who can reap the benefits of this product.
