So all the hype with this oil and the fact that I've used rosehip oils I thought I'd try this rosehip antioxidant oil.
A nice brown glass bottle with a black rubber top with a glass dropper on, press the top it sucks up the right amount of oil. So into the palm of my hand I squeeze the dropper outcomes this antioxidant oil, I look down into the pool of golden liquid it looks so lovely, first impression I find smells a little niffy similar to cod liver oil ew. Thank goodness it's just a faint scent with a very quick departure within 5 minutes I couldn't smell it on my skin.
A non grainy light oil, I smear this all over my cleansed face while I'm waiting for it to soak in I clean my teeth then proceed with a cream. I found I had to wait around while I was waiting for this to absorb, so I used less with a little more effort put into rubbing it in. I did find after exfoliating I did get better results with the absorption factor also using less helped.
End result was nice soft skin that was left a little greasy, I decided to just use it at night time as I found I was left with too much shine on my face also my foundation wasn't happy going on with this under my moisturiser. I felt this sat on my skin with only a little absorbing in. I haven't found any difference in my skin's elasticity using this. Moisture levels yes an improvement.
All and all a lovely product that delivers so worth trying.
Beauty Review's First Lady announced that if you bought the new, limited edition (I guess) 15ml size of the Rosehip oil with antioxidants, you would get some free samples. I wanted to try the oil anyway to see how it compared to the regular, so the samples were the icing on the cake.
The bottle is pretty decently sized and it was bigger than what I imagined, which is always a lovely surprise. It is a glass bottle with a dropper, which is perfect for getting the right amount of drops into your hand. The color of the oil is lovely and golden. I use 2-3 drops mixed into another serum and it's the perfect amount.
The smell of rosehip oil always put me off, I mean it smells like roses but never really smells like roses. This is actually one of the better smelling rosehip oils I've tried, so it's okay with me. I got used to the smell pretty quick and now I don't even notice it going onto my face.
I have oily skin, so this is a great combat oil, as I feel like it balances the oil production out, as well as being lovely. It goes on really nice and smooth and I really like how it feels on my face. It doesn't make me break out, I feel like it calms my skin down and it's just a generally lovely oil. I am definitely going to repurchase this when I run out.
