I like the simplistic packaging of this cleanser, and the pump action is easy to use, however you wouldn't want to drop the bottle because it is glass... Other cleansers I have used always made my skin tight after use, so I was careful about using this one. Two pumps are all it took for me to Adore this cleanser! It's like a moisturiser for your face that you apply in the shower and rinse off, too easy! I found this not to later into bubbles, like gel cleansers do, and my face was soft to the touch after using this. Gone was tight moisture stripped skin that I had with other cleansers, and hello soft smooth cleansed skin. I love how this cleanser does what it claimed it would, and having no scent is a good advantage too, this is a great new addition to my skincare range, I really suggest you try this, you won't be disappointed.

Tips: Be careful with the bottle, don't drop it!
I'm somewhere in the middle with this cleansing cream - it is really gentle, which is fine first thing in the morning, but I don't find it sufficient for end-of-the-day skin. It's just not cleansing enough for adequately removing make up (or even my BB cream). I know this, having used a cleansing towelette a few times after using the cleansing cream - even after massaging it in for a couple of minutes and rinsing, when I then used a cleansing wipe over my face, there were still traces of BB cream and other grime on the wipe. Having said that, for morning skin that has only had serum, oil, or moisturiser on it the night before, this is a nice gentle cleanser that won't be too harsh or irritate skin. It just freshens the face up for applying the day's skincare and make up. So if you're a minimal makeup wearer, or just want a cleansing cream for mornings specifically (or have such sensitive skin that it can't cope with other cleansers, then this would suit you.
I found this a lovely cleanser – just the right consistency for my mature (slightly over 50) dry skin & easily removes all makeup and grime, though I’m not a heavy makeup user. It’s very soothing and cooling, fragrance free and left my skin feeling like it could breathe. There’s a very light aroma of the ingredients – maqui berry, calendula & avocado & almond oils. Full of antioxidants, and essential fatty acids Omega 6 & 9. No adverse reaction to this product at all.
The amber glass pump is very convenient & easy to use, though quite heavy, so be careful to keep on a stable surface. I used twice a day, massaging onto my damp face, washing off with a facecloth with warm water & gentle pat dry before adding the other products.
One of my top 3 products in this range. I estimate with my current usage rate (2 pumps per cleanse) that this will last four months.
Tips: 2 pumps were enough for my whole face.
Another awesome addition to the Trilogy Very Gentle range. I really like the packaging, the colour of the labels are a gorgeous salmon colour. The fact that the cleanser is in a glass pump bottles always makes me think of a quality product but also, its reusable! I will use it when make my own hand soap so I adore that! It is a lovely white, thick consistency. It is safe to use around the eye area and cleanses all of my make up off! Its non-rritating and prepares my skin for the next step. I use the cleanser twice a day and compress off with tepid water and a facial cloth.
Tips: Only use tepid water when removing facial products. Hot or cold water can be highly irritating to sensitive skin.
I'm super picky when it comes to face cleansers, and I tend to stay well away from cream cleansers. For the simple reason that they don't feel powerful enough. On days when I'm wearing very light makeup I can't be bothered with makeup remover wipes so I rely on my cleanser(s) to do the job for me. Cream cleansers often don't leave that ultra clean feeling afterwards. So bear in mind that I'm already somewhat biased against cream cleansers.
This comes in a very luxurious feeling pump bottle. One pump is the perfect amount, although if your face isn't too dirty half a pump would be sufficient. It has the texture of a body lotion and feels very creamy. In fact, it feels like I'm washing my face with a lotion instead of something soapy. Surprisingly, it does clean off bb cream/primer/sunscreen etc. But it isn't enough to get rid of any eye makeup or heavy brow products, but that's the trade off I guess for gentleness. And boy is this gentle. It's not harsh at all and leaves my face feeling moisturised even before I start on the skincare.
There's no smell, like the other products in this range. And my sensitive skin welcomes it with open arms. Although I personally still prefer my foaming cleansers, I have to agree that if you're ever wanting just a gentle cleanse or if you have skin that's extremely sensitive to harsh scrubs/water based cleansers, this would be perfect.
Tips: Patch test beforehand! Cleansers are one of the main things that can break me out especially since they tend to be harsher than moisturisers.
I'm not normally a fan of cream cleansers. I never feel like they really clean, but I was surprised by this Trilogy offering.
A little bit goes quite a long way and it feels light and lovely on your skin. I was worried that the extra time to wash it off with a flannel would annoy me, but I found the flannel helped make me feel like it was working. Something about the roughness of the flannel and the transition from the sensitive exfoliation St Ives cleanser I normally use.
It definitely helped soften my skin and make it appear fresh and smooth. It was also very effective at removing make up, just like it said it would.
The packaging is gorgeous - I love the look of the dark glass pump bottle on the vanity. The darkness of it and the pump makes me feel confident it is not attracting contamination and will last a long time without getting affected by oxygenation.
Tips: Remember to clean/wipe off excess product at the end of the pump nozzle though - the next time you use it it will be hard.
This is a gorgeous product in very luxe looking packaging. A generous size 200ml, pump dispensing, frosted brown glass bottle. The product itself is white and unscented and the bottle dispenses the perfect amount of cleanser with one pump. Enough to cleanse face, neck and decolletage. The natural ingredients of macqui berry, Syricalm and camellia do not irritate my skin at all and this is a big thing for me. I wear foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick during the day, and usually double cleanse. I still needed to double cleanse with this product, but I'm ok with that. I would recommend this product to anyone that has sensitive skin and feel that even oily skin gals will respond favourably with this product. It doesn't add any oil to your skin, but it certainly doesn't strip it either.
Tips: If you like exfoliating, try adding a tiny amount of baking soda to this cleanser and mix together. Then apply to face.
I absolutely adore this cleanser, its so rich and creamy yet super gentle. The first thing I noticed was the amount of product I used to cleanse my face, like half a pump!! a little goes a long way with this, which is fantastic considering its not a super "cheap" product, so it will last me quite some time. I Love that my skin felt amazing after rinsing it off too, not dry or angry just lovely and clean and even slightly moisturised (this was even before moisturising!). It did a great job of removing my layers and layers of makeup I apply for my makeup photos, and no stingy eyes when cleansing under my eyes. Oveall I am so happy with this product and the glass bottle with a pump makes it even more appealing to me, makes it so easy to use and I don't have to worry about wet slippery hands dropping the bottle on the floor.
Tips: A little goes a long long way
I don't usually get excited over cleansers if I'm honest and find it a struggle to review them but I will do my best because this is actually a really nice cleanser.
This cleanser comes in the same frosted brown glass as the other products in this range come in. This has a pump mechanism which I like. The one thing I like about this pump is that you can pump a little or a lot depending on how much you like to use. I only press the pump down a little bit to get a pea size amount as that is all I need.
I was quite surprised at how creamy it was, it was nice and pleasant to use, didn't really have a fragrance that I could smell. This cleanser has Macqui Berry, SyriCalm and Camelia in it. I have no idea what the first two ingredients are but whatever they are, they really make a lovely product.
I didn't get the dry feeling after using this, usually my skin feels squeaky and dry but I didn't get that with this cleanser which is a bonus. I had no reaction to it, no irritation or stinging, and it is nice to use.
Results - Its hard to tell whether the cleanser made any improvements to my skin as I was using all the other products in the range together, however I believe it is an important step in this system as it cleans your skin nicely and prepares your skin for the next step in the regime. I would have liked to have had this cleanser as more of a scrub type texture than just a smooth cleanser though as I find those tend to make you feel like you are actually doing something to your skin.
Would I purchase? This is a bit of a tough one as I don't think it cries out miracle product but it does exactly what it says its supposed to do. I probably wouldn't purchase because of the price tag. At $46.99, even though it is a big bottle and would last you for ages, I know I could find another product that is similar and does the same thing for half the price. I feel horrible saying it but this is an honest review, so just putting it out there.
This cleanser is exactly what it says it is, Very gentle. It's great for removing light makeup and doesn't strip your skin dry. 3 stars are only because I prefer foaming face cleanser/washes which is a personal preference. This cleanser is perfect for dry winter months and leaves the skin feeling quite soft. I wouldn't recommend this to remove heavy make up as the name suggests it is quite gentle and wouldn't be able to remove everything properly, like mascara and heavy eyeliner. You would need to use your makeup remover for that. However this is perfect for people with dry skin looking for a good cleanser without stripping off the oil. It has a very light pleasant smell which does not linger. A very small amount is required which will make the 200 ml pack size last quite a while. Price wise I do feel it is quite pricey and personally I wouldn't be buying this again only because I prefer foamy cleansers.
Tips: Perfect for someone with dry skin especially during winter months.
