I used the moisturiser as part of the whole Trilogy Sensitive Range review. There is just one moisturiser that you use for day and night time. It comes with a little spatula to help get the product out of the pot but I preferred to just use my finger tips. It is very rich and creamy but absorbs easily into the skin without it feeling greasy. There is no fragrance. My skin felt moisturised and hydrated all day. I love this cream and would definitely buy it again. It's great for sensitive skin, I had no adverse reactions to using it.

Tips: Apply a small amount with the fingers.
$50 something dollars for a 60ml moisturiser isn't really my idea of cheap, and me being me thought 'this better be good!' when I opened the packaging. Firstly, it's awesome with sensitive skin. I must really commend Trilogy on their efforts with this range, Didn't get any negative reactions from my face. Yay!
It comes with a spatula, but I'm to lazy to have to wash the spatula after every use so I just use my fingers straight in the pot. I wash my hands as I wash my face anyway so it shouldn't be a big problem (right?). It's very thick in the jar, but surprisingly spreadable on your face. Even the size of a pea is slightly more than I need. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and satiny, with a slight glowing finish.
When using it I didn't notice a smell, which is another good thing since a lot of irritants in skincare are actually from the fragrance. It's well moistruring, and I can use it day and night. Although one thing to note is this has no spf, so do remember to add sunscreen over it in the day. I'm not sure if I'd continue with this in the summer where my skin starts leaning towards the oilier side. But this is definitely great for winter and autumn.
Overall a good daily moisturiser that feels relaxing to apply and does its job well. I like it a lot, but not quite enough to justify spending $50 when my $20 goodness every morning moisturiser does just as well. The luxury packaging is nice, but is it worth an extra thirty?
This gorgeous face moisturiser comes in a lovely 60ml amber glass jar. It is very thick and rich and includes a spatula for scooping the product out so you don't cross contaminate the product by dipping your fingers in. Key ingredients are maqui berry, SyriCalm and Calendula and I just love calendula on my sensitive skin. I find it especially good for eczema so it's fantastic that it is in this product and others in the range. It is a daily moisture recovery to soothe and protect for day and /or night use with no SPF. I like that it doesn't have a sunscreen in it as many can irritate my skin so I can add one I know suits me underneath. The cream goes on smoothly and for me was absorbed quickly with little residue so I am able to quickly apply my make up over the top. I feel that my skin stays hydrated throughout the day and it works well as a night cream also. It claims to help fine lines and wrinkles appear smoother and while I have only been using for around 2 and a half weeks and don't have a lot of lines I do feel my skin seems smoother and firmer with better texture and definitely more hydrated. It feels very luxurious to use and has a very light, natural, barely there smell.
Tips: Be sure to use the spatula that comes with the Moisturising Cream to avoid cross contamination from fingers. Apply in upwards strokes morning and night and avoid the eye area.
I have been using this moisturiser for over 3 weeks now. I am 43 years old with very oily but clear skin. Although i really like this moisturiser, the scent, the texture and the packaging, I am finding it a little too heavy for my skin type. I would however recommend it to anyone who has normal or dry skin. I've cut it back to just night time use now and just use the other products in the range in the morning and that seems to be working really well for me. The cream itself is a lovely thick consistency and comes with a spatula to avoid contamination.
Tips: A little goes along way and apply sparingly if you have oily/combo skin.
Like the whole range the pink and white and brown glass packaging is gorgeous and classy. The moisturiser comes in a small glass pot . It is thick, luxurious and fragrance free.
I have had very sensitive and extremely dry skin since being pregnant. After using this moisturiser my skin was radiant and smooth. I did not experienced any redness or irritation to my skin.
While it might be a bit too heavy for a everyday moisturiser it was great to use at night after cleansing or as a base layer under my makeup as it made my skin smooth and plump.
Tips: Apply a little amount of the moisturiser to fingertips and rub in gently.
I am actually suprised at how much I enjoy using this moisturiser. At first I wasn't a fan but have fallen in love with it.
As per some of its brothers and sisters in the range, it comes in a brown frosted glass jar, complete with little black spatula, and simple instructions.
The formula is actually quite thick which I was excited about because most moisturisers I have used tend to be on the watery side and don't give enough hydration. This one is different. It is thick and creamy and you don't need a lot, just a pea size amount.
At first I didn't like it as I found it made my skin feel dry, but for some reason it kept my skin hydrated and I haven't had any dry patches like I usually do. It doesn't really have a scent, just a clean smelling moisturiser, a bit like the Lush ones if you have ever used them. No reactions, rashes, irritibilities or anything like that, so I'm super happy.
Usually I would mark a product down due to its affordability but for the amount you get, how long it will last you, and the fact that the product actually delivers on what it says it will do, I can't fault it.
Definitely a fantastic moisturiser for those with sensitive skin.
This is such a fabulous moisturiser. It's not too heavy. Just the right consistency! I always dread about trying new moisturisers as so many of them are far too heavy.
I have been trialling this moisturiser for 3 weeks now. Both morning and night. It has no smell to it, and has a velvety finish. I find it super hydrating which is a must. For example: When I wash my hair, I get dry patches on my forehead from irritation. I applied some of this and instantly dry patches are gone. It works so fast for a moisturiser.
I find that applying my makeup on top of this is a dream. I personally believe that it makes my makeup go on better and sit better all day. I have not found any flaws in this moisturiser. It ticks all the boxes for me. I have seen an improvement in my skin for the past 3 weeks and haven’t had any bad experiences.
This retails for $52.99 for 60ml. I know some of you may think that you don’t get enough product or its too pricey. A little goes a long way with this moisturiser and I will be repurchasing.
This product does everything it says it does. Packaging is pleasant on the eye. Generous 60mls. I use this morning and night. Great having its own applicator spatula. Apply after eye cream. Less seems to be more, so it took me a couple of attempts to find the right amount for me. It is definitely a cream moisturizer, so too much leaves cream sitting on your face not absorbed. No skin reaction here. The bonus is if you are applying make-up afterwards it goes on amazingly smoothly, and yes my wrinkles do not seem to be as prominent. I can not recommend this moisturizer enough.
Tips: Clean the applicator spatula provided between each use to avoid contamination. Less is more.
I have been trialling this moisturiser for the past three weeks as part of the Trilogy Very Gentle Sensitive skincare range. My skin is 31 years old and suffers from rosacea, acne and dry patches.
The moisturiser comes in a 60ml glass jar. A reasonably descent size as a little definitely goes a long way with this one. I have hardly made a dent in it. The moisturiser has a very rich, thick texture but feels luxurious. It comes with a spatula for application but I find this fiddly so I just wash my hands well before use. It took me a few days to find the right amount needed for my optimal hydration of my skin and if you use too much product I found it's hard to blend/absorb into my skin.
I really like this moisturiser as It actually hydrators my skin and it last throughout the day. I have not had any adverse reactions so definitely suitable for my skin type. It give me velvety smooth skin which prefect for when I wear make-up as it appears to sit better on my skin as I have no dryness.
Tips: Good for dry skin.
This super hydrating and creamy formula is perfect for trapping in moisture for very dry and sensitive skin. Only a small bit is needed (tip of your finger) to cover your entire face and décolletage. The combination of maqui berry, SyriCalm and calendula helps to calm any irritation or redness while protecting and nourishing your skin. The formula soaks in well to the skin without blocking any pores to leave skin feeling very smooth. It's important for me to have a moisturiser that is not too thick that it overloads my pores but is also very hydrating, I believe this product is pretty good at both of these when used correctly. There is a slight scent to the product that I can’t quite put my finger on to what it is but it is most definitely not unpleasant. It took a little bit of trial and error for me to use this cream during the day. I found that if I used the same amount of the cream in the morning as I did at night it was too greasy under my makeup. However after a few goes and using the cream very sparingly, building it up, I was able to find a good balance of having hydrated skin as well as working well under make up. It’s not as much product as you think! Whereas at night I was able to be more generous with the product to almost create a mask to sleep with so I woke up with lovely hydrated skin.
Tips: For day time use, use very sparingly for a lighter coverage and allow to properly soak in before adding makeup as the combination can look a little greasy. For night time use, be more generous for a hydrating mask as you sleep. Your skin will thank you in the morning! If you have any extra dry patches on your face, massage an extra amount of the moisturising cream into them throughout the day to stop any dryness occurring. I found it almost helped prevent those dry patches from coming back.
