Love Trilogy products and this is one of my favourites. Its almost like a gel/cream its not to thick and not to runny. It is expensive but it is worth it.

This moisturizer does not blend in very well and it feels so greasy! I still have it and I got it for xmas a couple of years ago that's how bad it is..Still, this is my own experience and I must admit that my skin prefers gels. Anyway I hope this helps...
I first tried this as a miniature in the travel collection and most recently from the Beauty Review Beauty Box. It is a wonderfully thick, indulgent moisturiser. I do find it very rich for my blemish prone skin but if I only apply it to around my eyes, forehead or neck area (areas I have fine lines appearing) then I don't have a problem. I also only apply it at night rather than as a day cream as I personally feel it is too heavy and by morning my skin feels like an oil slick.
The scent is very natural smelling, I'd say very rose/floral. It's strong but not sickly strong (and not a fan of floral scents normally). The very thick cream squeezes out of the tube easily and spreads well, it feels a bit greasy to start but soon absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.
I saw an improvement in skin plumpness around my dehydrated eye area fine lines are vanishing before my eyes (the deeper ones not as fast but still an improvement). My frown lines are diminished but still visible.
I was pleased to receive this in my beauty box as I needed a new moisturizer. I really like the light texture of this cream and how it absorbs easily. I also like the light fragrance, and the fact it uses natural ingredients is a bonus.
Cards on the table, I'm not the biggest fan of Trilogy products. I find them too rich and heavy for my combination skin. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by this. It applied lighter than other Trilogy moisturisers I've tried (although I was only using this as a night cream) and it didn't make me break out. It was easy to rub in and didn't leave me feeling greasy or dehydrated. I love the fact Trilogy uses rosehip oil as a base to their products and they are an NZ brand.
My verdict? Still a little heavy for my skin, but a great product for those who need plenty of hydration.
Tips: Trilogy does some cute travel sets so you can try a small size before you commit to the hefty price tag of a full-sized product.
I have oily sensitive skin and I was gutted when I reacted to this product. I received it in the March BRBB and unfortunately 3 days into the trial I noticed my skin breaking out and by day 4 the dreaded redness appeared which turned into a borderline rash sensitive to touch. Don't panic this is just how my skin reacts to products it can't cope with it doesn't mean it'll happen to you.
Some may say I'm silly for trying the product knowing that I reacted badly to the Trilogy cleanser but just because you can't use one item in a brand doesn't mean you can't use another. Alas I can't use this one either.
I enjoyed how it felt on my skin almost as soft and emollient as Cetaphil and just as thick. I personally wouldn't recommend this for oily skinned beauties because even though it's amazingly hydrating my face felt more oily than usual to the point where I could swipe the bridge of my nose and voila oil!
It took 3-4 days to get my skin back to normal - no makeup, light cleansing, skipped the toner and light moisturiser. If I didn't react to it I would use this as a night cream because there's no harm in having an extra bit of oil production at night right? :-)
I was very happy to see Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream in the March BRBB. Another wonderful natural NZ Made product that is not tested on animals.
I like the no fuss packaging - white and maroon box with grey writing. The box is lined with a picture as well (you will have to buy the product to see) :-) There are good instructions on both the boxed packaging as well as the tube of moisturiser. There is also a large list of Ingredients on the box as well as a Best Before date. Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream comes in a pearl white tube with grey writing and the distinctive maroon. The silver metal lid is a twist top and has the maroon colouring inside it.
I prefer to use Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream at night. It is easy to control the amount you need when squeezing the tube and you honestly only need the smallest amount. It is a reasonably thick consistency and quite rich. It does take a moment to absorb in to my face. My skin has stayed hydrated, soft to touch and smoother in appearance. The fragrance is floral but softens as you apply to your skin.
I would love to try more Trilogy products.
Nice mosturizer that I got in my beauty box. I always use it every night. I really feel like this mosturizer help my skin to be nice and smooth. It smells like roses which I don't care too much for. I don't dislike it either.
I love this moisturiser, it absorbs so fast and makes my skin feel luscious also smells lovely. I have noticed my skin less tired looking over the few weeks I have been using it.
Tips: Still use a separate eye cream.
The thing I love most about the BRBB is the fact that skincare is a big yes, and I was more than delighted to see this in the box. I wouldn't spend $50 on a moisturizer, I barely spend that much on clothes. So 'delighted' doesn't even begin to cover my happiness.
The tube is gorgeous. Bigger than I expected a Trilogy item to be. The lid is gorgeous - it looks like cool metal, and feels a bit like it too. It's a gorgeous silver and a twist top. The product itself is a gorgeous creamy white, and as with a lot of Trilogy products it has a strong scent of roses.
I don't mind the rose smell, but it is a little overpowering sometimes. I squeeze a pea sized amount out and rub it all over my face. It's so gorgeous and creamy! I rub it in over rose hip oil, as well. I find though that I need to use more or a different moisturizer on top, as this one sinks in, but it sinks in too much that my skin feels dry again. Maybe it's a mindset thing, but I personally don't like having to use more product when this one states it provides hydration, and for the price you would think it would do as it says.
I haven't seen any improvement in my skin, but I haven't broken out in rashes either, so that's a big fat plus. It also absorbs really well, which I thought was good as I could get on with my makeup quicker. I have since passed it on to my mum as I have far too many, but it really was a nice moisturizer. If it weren't $50 I would repurchase gladly, just for the smell alone!
