I purchased this in a beauty vault, as i was suuuuuper excited to try the trilogy vitamin c range but couldn't splurge the moolah to buy it outright.
The bottle is a gorgeous brown glass, with the trilogy sticker and instructions on top. Its heavy and looks luxurious, if not a bit like a dark bottle you'd find on a witches shelf (minus the label, obviously).
The first thing i noticed was how well the sprayer mists, or rather, how well it doesn't. Upon first spray i was shocked and surprised at the force of the mist, but i soon realized it doesn't mist anything at all. It throws the liquid at me in heavy bubble form. They sit happily on my face and chest, tickling as they slowly pop. I don't like this as it feels like the spray is being wasted and only in certain areas. If the mist came out finer i would be using less and covering more face.
The smell is pleasant, like a floral citrus. It is neither overpowering nor irritating to my nose or skin. The spray is for dull skin, and while im not sure my skin is dull, it sure is tired. Broken sleeps with a small one do not do me or my skin any favors, yet using this wakes me up and gives me the placebo of having bright and happy skin.
I probably wouldn't repurchase this, as the bubble mist isn't something i enjoy, but it truly is a lovely mist otherwise.
I usually use the regular mist toner by Trilogy but thought I would give this one a try as I always like to add more Vitamin C to my skincare where I can! It is exactly the same as the regular one, but there are a couple of small differences. There is definitely a scent to this, on the citrus side but it isn't strong, very mild but pleasant. The other difference is that when spraying onto a cotton pad, its very very bubbly. I find this to be kinda annoying as it doesn't soak the pad and also slightly blocks the nozzle. I am going to be sticking to the regular one, once I finish my bottle and only re-purchase this one if the regular one isn't available.
Tips: Keeping your toner in the fridge - game changer!
