I received the foaming cleanser, toner and moisturiser with sunscreen as part of a trial team.
Cleanser: It is a watery texture which dispenses with a foaming pump, producing a rich foam. It has a strong, perfumey honey-orange type scent, which can be a bit much at times. The cleanser feels nice and soothing on my skin and cleanses well without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripped (I have normal/dry skin). It is around pH5 5-6 (tested with pH strips), which is ideal. I will use this bottle up but will not repurchase simply because there are other cleansers I prefer.
Toner: A watery toner that comes in a spray bottle, but instructions state to apply with a cotton ball. Alcohol free and does not irritate my skin, but also has the same strong, perfumey scent. Leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. Also tested around pH 5-6. Despite coming in a spray bottle, I would not recommend spraying it directly on your face, because if it gets on your lips it is horrendously bitter! I don't see the point of this packaging - a simple screw top bottle would be more practical and less wasteful. Might finish the bottle but would not repurchase.
Moisturiser: This is a thick, white cream that claims to have SPF 30. It has the same perfumey scent as the other products. I disliked this product as it had a very strange gritty texture. I could not see any grains but it felt like very finely ground sand and felt like one of those "microdermabrasion" cream exfoliants. Unpleasant to apply and made my skin a little sore in the sensitive areas around my mouth and nose, makes my neck red from the friction. This cream also has an oily feeling and never fully absorbs, however it doesn't look oily on the skin. Very strange product! Also, be aware that if your face gets wet the cream will form white drips down your face... Will not continue using due to sheer discomfort and will not repurchase.
Overall, the foaming cleanser is the only product that does not have any real flaws - though the scent may be too strong for some.
Something to note: This range of products claims to have "80+" manuka extract, but it was not clear whether it was a UMF rating or something they had come up on their own. It also says something about manuka pollen, so I'm not even sure if it's honey extract or which part of the manuka plant it's from.
Weird, is all I can say.
Overall this Skin care regime was really nice to use. I'm loving the packaging and will continue to use the moisturiser and toner until I have finished. The cleanser didnt work well for me so I will pass onto my sister to try out but overall i am happy with the products and would recommend to others to try. Don't know if I would repurchase as there is other products out there more suited to my skin type.
