Wild Ferns Manuka Honey Skin Care Regime Review

Wild Ferns is a brand I would have automatically written off had I not been sent it as I incorrectly assumed beauty items sold in souvenir stores are made overseas, not even using New Zealand ingredients. These products are however New Zealand sourced and made and they're not tested on animals as well as being sustainable. The cleanser is foamy and smells amazing - of real manuka honey, and my skin immediately loved it and felt super soft. Using the toner next, I learnt it's best to follow the instructions on the bottle and spray it onto a cotton pad before wiping it over your face. It irritated my eyes a little when I did my usual trick of just spritzing it straight on. Finally finishing with the moisturiser, I'm impressed that it is SPF30+ and I haven't been sunburnt while using it. It is not greasy but is quite thick for a facial moisturiser so you have to really rub it in and only use a small amount.

I am absolutely in love with this skin range. First thing i noticed was the beautiful packaging. I love the pump bottle for the cleanser, it makes it super easy to use and keeps the bottle clean. The smell is so lovely and i found myself excited to use it each morning just to smell the honey fragrance. My skin has become so clean and clear using this regime, i couldnt be happier with it. The cleanser leaves my skin feeling amazing and applying the wonderful honey smelling toner makes it feel refreshed. I am a huge fan of the moisturizer becuase it is amazingly moisturizing and smells great but also because it is SPF 30. i think that is great and a huge selling point for me.

I love these products! I have been using all three for 3weeks now and my skin is looking better then it did before. I was a little nervous to change my skin care routine right before the Christmas holidays. The foam cleanser, I love the smell! Exactly what I was expecting. Does not dry out my skin. I use this twice a day, half of a pump is all you need, one pump I found was too much and just a waste. The scent lasts for at least a hour which I love. Will definetely repurchase worth the money. The toner, love the smell and loved how my skin felt afterwards but I won't be repurchasing this one because i found it awkward to use with cotton balls, directions say to spray it onto a cotton ball but the product sprays in all directions and is getting wasted. I would recommend using the cotton pads instead. Last of all the SPF30 cream absolutely love this sunscreen! It's thick in consistency and the texture is different, it has little bumps in it which i didn't mind and I love how it feels on my skin, not heavy and the honey scent lasts a couple of hours which is nice. A little goes a long way! Will repurchase. Thanks BR for this opportunity!

I thoroughly enjoyed using every product in this skin care regime and as I have sensitive skin I was expecting that I may react to one of the products but this was not the case. Every product smells really good and the cleanser left my skin feeling clean and refreshed. It was also very gentle on my skin. The toner was good too and seemed to take away oiliness after application. I found the moisturiser also did a good job and protected my skin from our harsh Hawke's Bay sun while also moisturising. My skin looks and feels a lot better than it did before using this regime so I would highly recommend these products to anyone who has sensitive skin or New Zealand made products with natural ingredients.

1. HOW I USE THESE PRODUCTS: Every morning and night I start by massaging warm water onto my face to dampen the skin. I then apply 1 full pump of the WILD FERNS Manuka Honey Refreshing Facial Cleanser to my fingertips and gently start massaging the cleanser into my skin. Avoiding the eye area. After a few minutes, I rinse the cleanser off with warm water. I then pat my skin dry with a soft cloth. I then apply 3-4 sprays of the WILD FERNS Manuka Honey Purifying Toner to a cotton round and gently apply the toner over the skin (avoiding the eye area). This step is also done morning and night. Then only in the mornings, I take a small amount of the WILD FERNS Manuka Honey Protective Hydrating Moisturiser with SPF30 and gently apply to the skin avoiding the eye area.

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS: I would highly recommend this skincare regime to anyone. Even though I am not a huge fan of the moisturiser from this range, I believe that in conjunction with the other 2 products it has helped improve my skins texture and appearance. I think each product is packaged well. I also love that this range is Paraben Free and does not test on animals.

Emily was very impressed with the products provided. The facial routine was easy and quick to complete and the result's were starting to show with in 4 days. Her skin has dramatically improved over the 2 weeks and the only break out we encountered was after a weekend with friends and junk food. I felt more comfortable with Emily using this type of product as apposed to harsher chemical products due to her skin being so young and delicate still. Emily has taken the routine in her stride and would highly recommend to any mother looking at a product for her young child dealing with skin breakouts.

This was a wonderful trial team opportunity. The face wash , toner and moisturiser are well packaged and practical for use. I enjoyed the pump bottle of the facial wash and the easy spray of the toner. The products all smell divine which is definitely an added bonus for me. If definitely is luxurious to use and leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and supple , although I am currently dealing with a post delivery peeling skin which this regime doesn't seem to make a difference to. The foamy face wash is a great idea and worked really well. The toner was very effective in keeping my skin feeling fresh and hydrated on the go. The sunscreen in the moisturiser was a big win for me. All in all this is a good and cost effective skin care routine that I would love to come back to in the future.

Overall this Skin care regime was really nice to use. I'm loving the packaging and will continue to use the moisturiser and toner until I have finished. The cleanser didnt work well for me so I will pass onto my sister to try out but overall i am happy with the products and would recommend to others to try. Don't know if I would repurchase as there is other products out there more suited to my skin type.

I've only ever seen the Wild Ferns brand in souvenir shops and because of that, I've never given it a second thought, but I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this and my mind has been somewhat changed. I have dry skin so am constantly looking for products that can keep my skin hydrated.

The cleanser smelt nice, but left my skin feeling slightly dry. As someone who doesn't normally use toner, I wasn't sure what to expect. After I used it the first time, it stung slightly, and then left my skin feeling uncomfortably tight and dry. I ended up giving this to a friend with normal skin who loved it. The moisturiser was okay on my skin. I loved the fact it was SPF 30 and my skin was hydrated for a good amount of time. However the smell was overpowering and lingered a while and there were a few little gritty bits in it (not sure if this was normal or just a faulty tube).

Overall, I came into this trial thinking the brand was made specifically for tourists using the NZ Honey reputation, however I was pleasantly surprised. I probably wouldn't use this product again, just because it didn't sit well on my skin. However, for someone with normal/combination skin, I think it would work well.
