Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

To be very honest, I was never interested in this foundation when all the hype and frantic behaviour started because it was just another over-priced foundation in my eyes. "Its just going to break me out like all others do and make my acne worse" were my thoughts.

I decided what the heck and went to get colour matched in the hope it would do for me what its been doing for so many others. Magic!

I think the consultant felt sorry for me looking at my face because I walked away with much more than 10days worth of a sample. After using it just once... wow... instance difference in my skin and that full coverage!

I prime my face with ELF primer just ever so lightly because I have really oily skin and then I apply the foundation with my fingertips. No I'm not uncivilized to not use makeup brushes, my acne doesnt allow me to get a flawless finish with brushes.

The foundation dries and sets really quickly so I have to work fairly fast to smooth it onto my face. I use to wear about 3 layers of foundation to cover my pimples and scarring but with DW I only need one decent layer applied evenly, and then any areas that havent been covered I apply another layer and blend it in. I find that eventhough DW dries and sets pretty quickly it really adaptable when you want to apply more layers because its blends beautifully.

I proceeded to bankrupt myself and purchase this and will be using this for the rest of time! I love the smell of DW, I love the creamy smoothness of foundation during application and I LOVE that is stays glued to you face the entire day. Not even a shower will make it budge. The best part is that is doesnt break me out and I've been getting the most amazing compliments about my skin because people dont understand what happened. I have never received compliments about my face, ever! One day I just appeared with almost perfect skin.

I recommend this from the bottom of soul to girls who are struggling with acne, scarring and low self-esteem due to being shy about their acne. DW has given me a new confidence about my self and not I'm not constantly checking my makeup to ensure it hasnt melted away. Just apply and forget about it!

Having problem skin, bumps and lumps and lines and pimples i was a bit worried this product would be a bit thick and wrong for my skin. I couldnt be more wrong! There are sooo many shades there is bound to be something perfect for every skin colour! It lasts a long time as only a small amount is needed and gives a complete full coverage. It is also very light wearing. Been using this product for a month or so now daily and was so thrilled with the products performance I purchased a full bottle before my sample was finished. I love not having to do touch ups!

i am in inlove with this product not only does it do what it says it does BUT man does it last a long long time i know this is bad but i fell asleep with it on and woke up in the morning and it was still perfect i mean WOW. can not rave about it MORE

I have used both this and clarins ever lasting and have to admit that the ever lasting is a bit nicer. I find the ever lasting quite cakey and can highlight dry skin. It certainly does stay on for 15+ hours though

Love this foundation. Gives great coverage medium to full. The consistency seems thick and heavy but when applied properly doesn't fell cakey and heavy on your skin. Minor faults I found 1.Removing it at the end of the day is a huge job. I tried many things but what worked the best was coconut oil. 2. Foundation lays on top of any small hair you have making them stand out a little. Regardless awesome foundation!

This foundation seemed to have everyone raving about it so I thought I'd give it a go - I was not at all disappointed! The coverage was what it was made out to be which is medium to full coverage. Because of the expected coverage I was thinking that the liquid itself would be extremely thick but it was surprisingly not. Definitely an easily build-able product that feels surprisingly light on the skin.

I tend to use this foundation only when going out at night as I feel more comfortable with a lighter coverage during the say. It is most definitely long wearing which makes me question what's in it that makes it so durable haha. Other than that, I feel it is worth every drop for the price you pay - some may argue that its too expensive but I only wear it on weekends so probably go through less than others.

This foundation is one of my favorites altho it is not for everyone . I love having full coverage so works well for me it is quite a thick heavy foundation but when it drys it is quite light. It stays put quite well compared to cheaper brands. It is worth the price I feel as you don't need as much of this foundation to get the full coverage

I find that this foundation dries out my skin a lot. When I first started wearing the foundation i woke up the next morning with little red bumps on my chin even after cleaning my face and removing the foundation before I went to bed. It seems to stay on my face however I found myself having to reapply on my nose as it made it oily there (something I don't usually have to do) this foundation seems to work well for most people so it may just be my skin type.

I don’t know what I did before I had this foundation! 15 hour staying power truly is no exaggeration of the truth. This is a very thick substance so it does feel quite heavy on the skin but if it is a flawless and long lasting complexion that you are after then you need this foundation in your life! Love love.

This is one of my favourite foundations, I enjoy the longevity of it, it lasts all day for me and looks the same as when I apply it in the morning come the end of the day
