Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

This is a fabulous foundation but you need to 'get used to it' from using another foundation. At first it feels really thick and gloopy and hard to put on, but once you've used it a few times you are fine. The trick is to work on one area at once as it sets quickly. Don't dot all over your face and go back to it like I did. You'll be trying to scrape those dots off! After I finished my deluxe size sample it was hard to go back to my normal foundation so this is on my wishlist. It has quite a good coverage so if you like a sheer makeup you might not like Doublewear. It still feels very light on though and covers any imperfection which I like about it. I love how it really does last all day with minimal if any touchups. With my normal non-long-lasting foundation I powder my t-zone at least three times during a work day as I get quite shiny.

I absolutely love this foundation! It covers everything beautifully and lasts like it says it does! I slept with make up in one night to see how well it lasts and woke up in the morning looking like I'm ready to head out! It's definitely hard to get off so instead of spending $$$$ on the Estée Lauder make up remover, I limit myself to using the foundation only when I go out. I try to take it off with make up wipes and lots of washing in shower. It eventually comes off :-) As mentioned in other reviews, it's true that it tends to clump in certain spots after a while. It does so on my nose so I tend to put less on there which solves part of the problem (as dont need to use much to get amazing coverage). It is pricey for a foundation, so next time I'd be looking at buying off strawberry.net instead of Farmers.

Absolutely LOVE this product, provides amazing full coverage and does everything it says it does, lasts so well, i wear it out whenever i have a special occassion or a big night and it stays on no problem. Do no need much to get a good coverage.

I am usually a MAC addict but I am in love with this foundation! It goes on so easily with my brush, sets in a flawless manner and lasts all day, even with a hot day it doesn't slip off my skin! Being able to build up the coverage is something I love with foundations, especially when my makeup style changes from day to day. Lasts ages and well worth the price

I found this long lasting and full coverage but its alot of money when i find that revlon colourstay works just as well

I received a sample pot of this foundation and was expecting great things. This foundation did not work well with my skin. It sat in certain areas more than others and like someone else mentioned, it had a weird 'clumpiness' after a while. You have to work really fast with this product as once it's set, you can't blend or move it at all. I also found it really hard to remove :-/

I'd be giving this five lippies - if I only I could get the perfect colour match. I'm somewhere between colours 02 and 03 - one is too light, one too dark! Aggh! Anyway, this is definitely a great foundation, buildable, long lasting. But I'd have to say that Revlon Colourstay is a cheaper, but as good product.... Won't be repurchasing - based on price, comparability to Revlon - and not being able to get exactly the right colour! (Life is too short to play around with two colours to get exactly the right shade!)

Whilst travelling with my aunt through Europe she let me use her EL double place and I absolutely loved it. It made my skin look flawless. It worked great in the heat and I didn't have to pack on too much. My aunt ended up flipping it cause I used up most of it. It does more than what it advertises, your photos will turn out great even when you have that unwanted pimple, it hides it so well.

When I first put this foundation on I really like it. It's light, easy to apply and gives me a healthy glow. However throughout the day it starts to clump together into little dots! I have tried numerous powders as well as no powder and still get the same result! This does not happen with any other foundations. It is also very pricey so I would not purchase it again.

This stuff is amazing! I am so impressed by this brand and how far they've come. They really have made their name synonomous with high class and this product is definitely worth the price!
