I’ve been using Skinnies Kids on my toddler for couple of years now. Though it’s probably unnecessary on packaging, I’ve been grabbing the Beach Boy, which is the green tube.
It has a subtle scent of coconut. The consistency is a thick balm like texture and looks kind of like honey in colour, but it’s so quick and easy to apply on my wriggly toddler. I don’t waste any time trying to rub it into his skin. A pea size is enough to cover the face, then a pea size for each body part that’s not covered.
I’ve used it on my son when he had eczema and found that it was very gentle on his skin. Also, it kept his skin moisturised. It kept his skin well protected and whenever he went into water, it was quick and easy to reapply afterwards.
This was the third Skinnies sunscreen I'd tried and it did not disappoint.
I love the packaging - it's bring and colorful and it's fun. I received so many compliments about how cool it looked and people were really intrigued that it was sunscreen and asked me lots of questions about skinnies etc. Who knew it would be such a talking point!
The sunscreen itself is a thick clear gel with a yellow tinge. It also has a faint coconut scent which I really love.
The sunscreen rubs in well, absorbs fast and leaves your skin feeling moisturised. I quite enjoyed using it as my everyday sunscreen on my face as it doesn't feel as thick or look as shiny as other sunscreens.
Overall it's one of my favourites. Being vegan, reef safe and recyclable are all added bonuses! Highly recommended!
