Smashbox Double Exposure Palette Review
Reviews
I purchased this pallet a couple years ago and it is amazing. The colours are pigmented and blend really well. Can add water to create eye liners.
Tips: For best results, use primer
Love this pallete its great for smokey eye looks blends awesomely . Love how when you add a little liquid and the colour changes to more shimmer glittery metallic colours, i love playing around with the colours. The brown shades love them, I use fig and espresso just a little to contour and noir the black gives the ultimate black smokey eye. If you love playing around with make up to find the perfect look this palletes great to start with a bit pricey but again worth it.
Tips: It has a few purple plum colours in it mauve, temper and haze a little of one of those blanc and noir you can make the perfect blended smokey eye white inner purple middle black outer. Once choose three are on eyelid pat in between colours with a clean flat brush to blend colours then with a fluffy brush your want to softly brush above the eyelid on the crease move the colour around start from inner outwards, then with the flat brush pat more colour on top of eyelid with the flat brush because some would have moved around from the fluffy brush then repeat the fluffy process you don't want to press to hard when doing the fluffy brush bit or too high try keep in the mid crease area. Once done line eye apply lashes and clean up eye area with concealer. Perfect smokey eye .:)
Despite so many reviews on this palette being amazing and high quality, it left me a little disappointed. Yes the quality is alright and the shade options are nice but it isn't anything innovating. The selling point of this shadow is that is can be transformed when applied wet using a damp brush, but honestly, almost all eye shadows have this capability so it didn't wow me.
The powder is fine, not much kick back or fall out. Blends ok, but I just wanted more from the price paid.
I would recommend some of the other competitive brands palettes over this one, have owned it for about a year and a half now and only played with it a handful of times.
