Really nice creamy formula, great colour pay off. I like the skinny round packaging as it helps save space to buy more. Goes on beautifully smooth, lasts nicely with and without lip liner.

This lipstick is so silky and luxurious, I have it in Cerise (a bright, mega-watt red) and while it cost a pretty penny, it's worth every cent!
It goes on smoothly and really does last, it's not drying on my lips like other long wear can be and stays even and vibrant all night while sipping a drink or snacking on nibbles.
It's usually a night-time colour for me due to the shade, but I have worn it to the office on days when I need a pick me up, despite my obsessive checking 30 times a day, it always looked fabulous.
Tips: Definitely one to use a quality lip liner with, it's quite easy to smudge without a good base and this keeps it looking top notch. Apply with a lip brush as it's better to do less and layer with more, a little at a time. Due to it's soft consistency, I found this was the best way to apply.
I never thought I'd be fickle enough to buy a lipstick because I saw one photo of some celeb wearing it. But here I am. It all started when I saw a photo of Cara delevigne advertising for smashbox, wearing this exact shade. And boy was I stunned.
This is a striking orangy/apricot shade. On my lips this looks a little less yellow than it does on my wrist. Possibly because the redness of my lips evened it out a little. The color is insanely pigmented so be careful when applying! It's easily buildable and has a slight sheen which settles to a semi matte finish. The thin stick form made it really easy to apply and carry around.
Its texture is a little more balmy than a standard lipstick but not quite enough to classify as a balm tint. It's not drying but I do still like to prep my lips with lipbalm beforehand just in case. Because of its texture and pigmentation, it did sink into my lip lines a little, especially if I talked a lot. It performed ok in terms of drinking and light eating. But something like a burger would leave no trace of this afterwards.
Two things i didn't like about it were: 1) SO EXPENSIVE! Honestly berated myself so hard after buying this because it's not cheap. 2) There's only a tiny amount of product, 1.7g to be exact. A mac lipstick, your standard bullet is 3g. Almost twice as much! I'm already past halfway through this and have worn it probably a dozen times. So if this is something you wear often then be prepared to have to buy new ones frequently.
I was lucky enough to be given one of these beautiful lip tints from Smashbox. I was given the beautiful coral/orange color Mimosa!
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Smashbox and this product doesn't fail to deliver!
I love the formula, its so moisturizing and not at all drying like other long wear formulas. I also love the coloring too because although its quite pigmented its nice and light like a tinted balm, you can actually build up the coloring you want on your lips.
This is quite expensive to buy, but once you have felt the formula go onto your lips I think you will find its worth the splurge!
