These were the only pads I would use after I had my baby. The "cheapies" I was given in the hospital were nasty, and leaked a lot, so as soon as I could I switched to these. What a difference. Excellent absorbency, and kept the skin dry. Nothing worse than feeling wetness downstairs. They're extra long, which is brilliant, especially at night.

Tips: Make sure to take a pack in your hospital bag.
Do exactly what they say , they were the only ones I used after having my baby so I dont have much to compare to but I didnt have any issues with them . And they were the cheapest at the supermarkets at the time.
Tips: Stock up if you're pregnant , for sure!
These are very comfortable and do what they say they will. They are also competitively priced. The only thing i didnt like about these were they are not individually packaged like most pads are.
The only maternity pads I'll ever use again (not that another baby is in the plans!). They are thick and comfortable - trust me, it may hurt for a wee while down below so added padding helps!
They're long which means less leaks. They also stick well, barely moving during use although wings would be nice just for that added assurance - especially during the first few days post birth! The core is ultra absorbing which is especially wonderful in those early days post birth.
The only downside is they aren't individually wrapped, which is a shame. But I did resort to popping some in a resealable Glad bag and chucking that in the nappy bag when we needed to be out of the house just to keep them clean and in good condition.
Bigger packs would be nice too. You can bleed a lot post birth and the ability to buy one big pack, instead of numerous small ones, would be lovely. 10 pads can go very quickly!
Tips: Not individually wrapped so be prepared to come up with an alternative wrapper if heading out and about.
After I gave birth to my son I was worried about leaks as I get heavy periods in normal cycles also. So I randomly picked up this one and I am glad that my random choice was right. I did not have any leaks and no stains on my pants and bedsheet which is just so embarrassing for me. I wish they have separate packing for us to conveniently keep a few pads in our hand bag.
These are some of the best fanny bricks for you after having a baby.
They were what the antenatal class teacher recommended to me and also what the hospital provided. So I brought bundles of these for after my 2 babies.
Losing a lot of blood after baby you need something to catch it and there is just no way a liner will cut it.. there is no way to get around the fact you will need to use a pad for heavy bleeding.
I loved these fanny bricks. They are like carrying a brick in your knickers but what maternity pad isn’t. I loved having no wing to be honest as I didn’t need another source of glue catching something and causing more trauma. Also these are longer than another 2 brands I used which was a MUST.
They are soft, absorbent and long. My only wish was that it was a bigger pack I was surprised how many actually fit into a pack but given their purpose it actually makes sense.
My second pregnancy I had a haemorrhage and heavy bleeding for days following and these got me through it all. Highly recommend.
Tips: Make into padsicles and store in the freezer.
I recently gave birth to a baby in July and pre purchased these as a stable for my maternity bag. I found these to be effective with for soaking up the flow of the post partum bleeding. But unfortunately I found them to be very thick and uncomfortable. I found them to be extremely bulky and very noticeable under my clothing. I also didn’t like that they weren’t individually sealed in packets so once you opened the outage package they did not seem sterile anymore. The pricing for these was reasonable but I ended up going for the more thinner option in the end.
Tips: Don’t buy in bulk prior to having baby. Try a few options before you purchase more.
I did find these useful for applying to my c section once the dressing was removed to avoid rubbing on my pants and underwear.
I purchased these for my hospital maternity bag but didn't end up using them until I returned home from giving birth as the hospital supplied some. These were the only option for maternity pads available at my local supermaket.
The pads aren't individually wrapped so once you open the pack they are exposed to the air. They are long white pads without wings. They have lots of padding and a adhesive bottom for sticking to underwear.
Unfortunately I found them very thick and uncomfortable to wear. They also irritated my skin so not sure if I would recommend them for sensitive skin types. These issues above were frustrating as they did an excellent job at absorbing post partum bleeding but I ended up switching to regular pads during the day for comfort.
I would probably only recommend these for night time use as they are bulky.
Tips: Ideal for night time use as super absorbent.
I used these after I gave birth to both of my children. They were basic in design and easy to fit in my "post preggy panties". They were reasonably priced which was good because I was using a lot of pads for the first week.
Tips: You can double these up and make them longer for more coverage.
These pads are great for after bubs has arrived. I was given some in hospital and they were very comfortable and not too bulky. I did however find that they scrunched up a bit after walking around but other than that i wouldnt buy another brand next time.
