Stella McCartney Stella
The first fragrance by STELLA McCARTNEY, inspired by the fragile beauty of a rose, is contrasted by sensuality of amber.
Playing with the opposition of the masculine and the feminine as well, the bottle’s lines, both precious and sharp, frame a seemingly infinite plum dégradé.

Tips: It can be worn daily but also on nights out its very versatile
I love this perfume. It is the perfect mix of floral, with rose and peony, with a hint of citrus (mandarin) which makes it smell uplifting to me! To be honest I am not sure that I can smell the peony much, but they are my favorite flower so knowing that it is there makes me happy!
I find that this perfume lasts for a good part of the day, although if I was going out at night I would probably use it again just to make sure :-)
Stella is my fall/winter scents. It has a good musk to it without smelling like Nanas lounge. It has floral hints but I wouldn't describe it as a feminine scent. It is very noticeable and I will always get comments (largely from older women) about the scent, or recognizing it.
It might not be right for most which is why it doesn't get full marks for me, I think it is a smell that will polarize people... but I'm a fan :)
Not only is this Stella's first perfume but this was my first perfume too. Seems strange for a 12 year old girl to be wearing something described as "Playing with the opposition of the masculine and the feminine" instead of a sweet, fruity fragrance, however my mum used to wear it and I loved it, so she bought me my first bottle when I was about 16! This fragrance is well described and I think the fact that it has been going strong for so long reiterates how timeless and beautiful the scent is. It is mature and great for night wear. It stays on the skin all day and lasts for a very long time! I find it even stays on my clothes for a while too. A little goes a long way. However, it is not overpowering or strong it's just a subtle smell which reminds me of my mum, but has also been described as a cosy smell which I agree with. Warm and wearable, I would recommend this for people wanting to move away from the sweeter, fruity perfumes and perhaps wanting something for the colder seasons.
Tips: Definitely a scent for winter or Autumn, I would use a little on my neck and wrists, or a little on my clothes as it does stay well on clothing.
I am not usually a fan of rose based fragrances and fine them heavy and heady, but I like Stella. It is a sophisticated scent with a musky almost sandalwood note that balances the rose. There is something fresh too, but I can't put my finger on what! I enjoyed this scent for summer evenings or winter during the day.
I loved this perfume so much, my all time favourite. It would be my signature scent if it wasnt so hard to find. Almost finished my bottle and cant find it anywhere :(( Wears off after a while so have to apply it again but it is great for a night out.
30ml EDP, purchased myself on sale -- I probably wouldn't pay full price for it.
This isn't a terribly complicated perfume, but will probably garner a few "you smell good" comments. The initial blast is full on rose, but that dies down pretty quickly. For a couple of hours I get the sweetness of the amber, and it almost makes me think of candy -- it's a really well blended perfume, and I find it hard to pick out the notes. It's just like a warm hug, and has a little whiff of incense to it too. It is a totally feminine perfume, but not girly -- more sophisticated and slightly edgy.
It doesn't last very long on my skin, and I would recommend layering it with the lotion if you are really keen on it. Alone, it doesn't have much silage and sits quite close to the skin.
(If you're after something fresher and sharper, I would recommend Balenciaga Florabotanica -- rose with a bit of mint.)
My 30ml bottle is a sleeker design than the larger sizes -- the whole thing including the cap is shaped like a rectangle with the corners cut off, and is faceted like a cut diamond. It would be quite handy to travel with as it isn't awkwardly shaped.
Tips: Layer it with the matching lotion if you want it to last longer. Even plain unscented lotion might work.
I got a bottle with my Fly Buys points, I'd never smelled it before, but I'm glad I got it. I've never smelled another perfume like it. It reminds me of a talc powder or a really nice bubblebath lol, but it's not sickly sweet or old person smelling at all. I would buy a bottle of it again for sure.
Tips: Doesn't last all day, I take my perfume of the day everywhere anyway, but this one you kind of need to if you want to smell pretty all day.
Another one of my all-time favourites. I first got the 30ml for Christmas quite a few years ago now, but I loved how subtle it was and it made me feel a million dollars. It's great to wear during the day, going out or for that special date!
The bottle is gorgeous with shades of purple. What more could a girl want
Tips: Never rub perfume into your wrists as it weakens the smell
