So I’ve only been able to use this 3 times in the review period due to courier delays (thanks covid!) but I found after rolling my skin my serum absorbed easier, moisturiser went on smoothly and while I got some tingling “pain” it wasn’t uncomfortable. My skin was red post using it but that was gone by morning. I’m intrigued to see results over a longer period of time. I will definitely continue to use as I’ve seen excellent results on other people from using these and excited to see what it does.

Tips: Roll gently over sensitive areas and a bit harder on others if you can. Follow up with serums as they will absorb more readily after this treatment.
I have been using this roller every three days as directed and as instructed have been rolling each direction up to five times on all the recommended areas. My routine consisted of cleansing, patting dry and applying serum and then immediately used the roller, resisting the temptation to press in and just letting the weight of the roller be the guide. I am glad that I didn’t press it in as the gentle rolling method recommended on the box was just enough to puncture the skin allowing it to absorb the serum and then the night cream. Even so my skin did slightly redden and tingle a bit for about 30 minutes - alerting me to the fact that I had used it correctly and also realising why the under eye area is off limits ! Already my skin is starting to feel well nourished and tighter, and some of the finer wrinkles are looking hydrated and less obvious, plus a welcome glow that I haven’t seen for a while. So, would I recommend it to a friend - yes I would as even though its early days I can see a very welcome improvement and more to follow.
Tips: Use roller immediately after applying skin care products allowing it to absorb while still moist.
The microneedle facial roller comes in a sturdy plastic storage box which is great for keeping it clean between uses.
It doesn't look that spiky but start rolling it over your skin and the tingle hurts. Definitely not painful but you do feel the spikes as you roll over your face.
After use you can feel your skin reacting to the roller in a positive way.
I don't think a week was long enough to notice huge differences but it was long enough to know I want to keep trying it as the tingle was enough for me to almost feel my skin rejuvenate
A must add to your beauty routine
Tips: Don't press down just let the roller glide
I was keen to try this as recently I've been using an at home microdermabrasion handset (which I have been liking). So I was interested in comparing the two very different skincare products. I was able to get 7 days usage of the facial roller before my beauty review was due, which in that 7days I used it 3times. (Using it every second or 3rd night). I read the instructions on the box which said to use with your chosen serum. (I used the homey hyaluronic acid+b5+b3). After the week I've found my skin started to break out a little bit, which I actually don't blame the facial roller for. I feel more like this used in conjunction with the serum has been the cause. So I actually want to try this product on its own without serum, which I will do once I can get my skin back to normal shape. Overall I do feel like this could possibly do my skin good, as I notice my skin looking a bit more smoother, obviously bar the breakouts. I would like to try it with other or no products. Looking forward to giving this another go in the next week or two.
I was sent this as a review product, and was really excited to try it. I've seen the Manicare version of this product and what I liked about this one is that it came with much more thorough instructions.
I've got sensitive skin, and had no issues with using the roller. It feels a little weird but you get used to it. I've tried it with a couple of different serums (that I used before starting the roller) and I do feel like it's improving my skin and helping rug serum do more.
The price point is really decent, I've been recommended in salon derma timing in the past but I haven't been able to justify it. This is a good alternative for those that are happy to try an at home option.
I've also noticed less acne spots. It's too soon to see if I'm going to get big big results, but I'll keep up using it.
So far it's been tested on general skin areas including old acne scars, but the next test will be on scarring I've sustained recently through a dog bite. When I start working on those areas I'll update my review.
Tips: Keep the box until you've used the product several times - it would be easy to over do the rolling, or do it too often.
Skincare has been a bit of a foreign topic for me my whole life, however, since hitting my 30's, i have been more invested how I'd like my skin to be. Bring very pale, i have some acne scarring, uneven skin tone & my skin is generally super sensitive. Currently I am using the COSRX Honey Glow kit, & within a week and a half of using these products together (only used the dermal roller twice so far) I have noticed a bit of a difference. My acne scars appear lighter, pores are noticeably smaller, & my skin feels really fresh. My current skincare routine has been given a bit of extra 'oomph' adding the micro needle roller to it!
I would like to see a little cleaning kit come along with this product, as having to purchase products to sterilize the roller was a bit of a hassle, & ideally, a 3-4 week trial period before having to make a review would have been more suitable, as I can only imagine how much better my skin will be by then.
All in all though, I'm happy so far & recommend anyone skeptical should definitely give this a go.
Tips: Do not press to the skin, let the weight of the roller do its thing. Cleanse your face thoroughly before using, & don't try new skincare products, use what your skin is already used to while starting out with the roller.
I love Micro-needling. It’s like a shakti mat for your Face. For me it’s relaxing and I also love knowing it’s doing good things for my face. Yes it leaves red marks, but they dissipate after half an hour to an hour, so it’s best done at night or early morning. The wee pricks allow skincare products to absorb into skin more so than when not using the roller.
Tips: Best used at night or allow at least an hour in the morning before venturing outside due to redness
I don’t have many beauty tools besides brushes and an eyelash curler but this needle roller intrigued me to try as I’m always on the lookout for at home treatments to add to my routine.
At first I was nervous looking at the tiny needles on a fast rotating roller and only starting rolling once over each area of my face. It felt like you can imagine, little continuous pin pricks even with a light pressure. Afterwards you can feel you’ve rolled but it isn’t painful. The only part I didn’t enjoy was the feeling of the needles between my nose and mouth so I avoided that after my first use. I don’t usually get redness or many reactions to products and it was the same for this.
The instructions say to use 4-5x in each area but it took me a few weeks to build up to that and after a month you really do start to notice results. I used the roller about 3x a week on a day when I wasn’t applying a face mask or a peel. After a month - just wow! I woke up one morning with incredibly soft skin, a bit plumper and my forehead lines look slightly less noticeable. I’m sure the usually large pores on my nose are less pronounced too. I even like the look of myself relatively makeup free on a zoom so it must be doing something.
The only thing I’m not sure about is how long I should keep using this before discarding and whether the needles would eventually become blunt. The instructions don’t seem to mention this but for about $30 or so if I got 6 months of use that would be fabulous.
Tips: Clean by putting a few drops of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad and roll up and down gently and leave to air dry.
I was definitely very excited to try the mirco-needle facial roller and it was an interesting experience. This instructions say to just lightly roll it over the skin without too much pressure - this is barely felt at all and almost has that feeling of something that would make your face itchy, so don't worry if you think it'll hurt. For the amount of time that I've used this product, I don't know if I'd say I've noticed a huge difference in my skin, it does look a bit clearer, but I think the fine lines have not improved. However, I do have high hopes that the fine lines will start to disappear and I have that faith from the way my skin feels the next morning after using the micro-needle roller. My skin feels soft and so much plumper, this happened just after the first use and continues to happen, which is why I'll continue to use this product as I love the way my skin feels afterwards. I do recommend it, and it's worth trying.
Tips: Use after cleansing, toning and putting on a serum.
I was intrigued and a little nervous to use this tool, rolling needles on your face seems a bit scary but after some research, the anti-aging benefits sounded too good to not give it a go. The Sugar Baby micro-needle face roller comes in a nice simple box with easy to follow instructions and information. The roller comes in a great clear plastic protective case. The roller itself, the handle is silver plastic and feels a bit cheap but it does the job. There are 540 needles that are 0.25 mm on the roller. My first use, I followed the instructions closely, cleansing well, putting on a serum and then gently roller separate parts of my face horizontally, vertically and diagonally 4-5 times. It was very easy to use but definitely make sure you don't press down. I didn't find the needles to be painful just a bit tingly. I carried on with the rest of my face routine, adding serums and moisturiser etc. and after the first couple of rolling sessions putting the products on my face stung a bit but after a few more times it was totally fine and I didn't have any issues. I used the tool about three times a week as directed. The day after the rolling my skin was so soft! Blemishes seemed to heal a lot faster too. But I haven't seen any impacts on fine lines, uneven skin tone yet, however I do think I will need to use it for longer which I definitely will be doing. It's turned into part of my face routine and actually feels good and relaxing. After I use the roller I spray it with alcohol sanitizer, wave it to dry and store in the protective case. It's a fun process and feels good, give it a go!
Tips: Read the instructions/information carefully and follow closely. Also a spray alcohol makes cleaning so easy!
