I was sent this as a review product, and was really excited to try it. I've seen the Manicare version of this product and what I liked about this one is that it came with much more thorough instructions.
I've got sensitive skin, and had no issues with using the roller. It feels a little weird but you get used to it. I've tried it with a couple of different serums (that I used before starting the roller) and I do feel like it's improving my skin and helping rug serum do more.
The price point is really decent, I've been recommended in salon derma timing in the past but I haven't been able to justify it. This is a good alternative for those that are happy to try an at home option.
I've also noticed less acne spots. It's too soon to see if I'm going to get big big results, but I'll keep up using it.
So far it's been tested on general skin areas including old acne scars, but the next test will be on scarring I've sustained recently through a dog bite. When I start working on those areas I'll update my review.
I’ve tried actual micro-needling treatments at the Caci Clinic before, which do really give great results, but it’s very painful and super expensive! So these micro-rollers are a much gentler and more affordable at home option. I used this with my favourite anti-aging serum and subsequent night cream which helped the products to soak into my skin overnight. Micro-rollers really do encourage the natural production of collagen. I’ve really seen a difference with my skin and my face looks brighter and smoother in the morning after I’ve used the micro-roller the night before. I’ve previously used a micro-roller from Skin Smiths and it was a 0.3mm one, I’ve found that I much prefer this Sugar Baby roller which is 0.25mm. I just find I get better results with this one!
Tips: Only use it once or twice a week to start out and always sanitise it after use.
