Okay, so everyone who knows me knows the story of how I got this. Short and sweet: It had been hiding in my bathroom cupboard for just under a year. I never knew what it was.
I was so excited when I found this as I have been wanting to try Surmanti forever and they're sooo expensive!! So, obviously I did what anyone else in my position would've done and I lit it straight away.
First off, it's really hard to light. I use two matches every time. The wick is so thick you have to warm it up first with the first match by the looks of it...
The scent I have is Wild Roses, and it's a very subtle, yet pleasing scent. It's a sophisticated scent. I love how it makes the room smell even the next day. I especially love it on rainy/awful weather days when you don't have to open the doors/windows.
They claim the candle lasts 50 hours, but I'm not sure if that is the case really. I haven't even used it for ten hours and it's already almost half (yes, I have the 250g).
The packaging is beautiful though, a sturdy black glass holder with Surmanti's signature gold coin on it.
You can use it as a massage oil too (which I read on the review below a couple of days ago and tried it myself. I think it's more of a solid perfume type of thing, as it makes you smell incredible (and yes, I actually use it as solid perfume, well, melted solid perfume anyways.)
I don't know if I would buy it again, I love the smell and the elegance surrounding it, but I think $40 is a bit much for something that's not going to last 50 hours - but i'll keep you updated!
Tips: Use it as either a massage oil or a solid perfume. It makes you smell incredible.
