Loved this hand cream. Was easily absorbed into the hands and made them feel, soft, smooth and smelt divine. Hands still felt quite smooth and soft at the end of a long day!Quite a thick hand cream so a little goes a long way so the tube will no doubt last a long time!

I was sent this to try out. As my skin suffers from all sorts of eczema, and the product said that it has extracts that helps with eczema, I was excited to see what it would do. I used it several times a day. The texture is quite smooth and feels quite moisturising, my hands definitely has a shiny look after applying but not greasy. The smell is quite strong, if you love lavender then you would like the smell of this product. After using this for a week unfortunately I don't see an improvement in my skin, my fingers still peel but definitely didn't make my skin worse. For what it is I probably wouldn't jump to buy a 2nd bottle but I'm happy continuing with applying this product on my skin.
Tips: Not really, the packaging may appear a bit rustic and may not appeal to someone who likes beautiful packaging, but it reflects its image of being environmentally friendly.
Loved this handcream! it had a great consistency, nice and thick but not too thick that it wasn't easy to massage in to my hands. The fragrance is quite strong which was fine for me as I love the smell of lavender but I did get some comments from work colleagues when I was using it that they thought it was really really strong. You didn't really need too much for it cover all your hands effectively, just a wee splodge. My hands feel great after using it, I can get skin issues from time to time but I found this was really good at keeping my hands feel soft and not dry. Price wise it's probably around what I would normally pay for a good handcream, perhaps not an everyday one though as I tend to moisturise my hands a lot! It's certainly value for money as a little does go a long way. I would definitely recommend to friends to have in their beauty bag.
Tips: Just be aware that not everybody likes the smell of Lavender and Chamomile! the smell does fade but it is initially really strong. Also, a little does go a long way.
The Aromatherapy Co Lavender and Wild Camomile packaged arrived and I was quite surprized that they tube was inside another package - although it was plain kraft with another wrapper with the company ect ect I thought was a total waste. The tube itself was a decent size and subtle enough to be sold without the additional packaging. Thick cream that with quite a greasy after feel but did have a devine smell of lavender that was great and calming after a long day. I found it quite a treat late night just before going to bed and smooth, and quite effective treat for my dry hands. It moisturized and soften the skin quite nicely - but I would not recommend it to be used during the day. I did try it on some of my psoriasis spot but it did not make much of a difference. It is quite expensive at $17.95 and a luxury I wont indulge in often - I do think it will make a great gift for that healthy paraben free friends of mine
Tips: Use at night as it is quite think and lavender is great after a full stressful day.
My first impression of the packaging for The Aromatherapy Co Lavender and Chamomile Handcream was that it was very basic and unappealing. The tube looked like it was an acrylic paint tube that an artist would use. However, I have since realised that the intention was that it was to give the appearance of being simple and possibly natural (but the tube is silver so I am not completely sure). I have found that it is important not to judge a book by its cover though, as I was very impressed by the hand cream itself. I am not overly keen on products that are lavender fragranced and although the initial smell of the handcream on application was very strong, I did like the smell and it became a very subtle scent quite quickly. I loved the rich and thick feel of the handcream on my hands and it really felt like it protected my hands and nourished them. I also liked the thought of the lavender and manuka for healing and preventing scarring. I would definitely buy the product myself, as well as buy it as a gift for someone else.
Tips: Try applying the handcream just before bed as lavender and chamomile are good for relaxation and sleeping.
I like, to start, that the hand cream is not tested on animals and is made in New Zealand. It is a thick white cream and smells oh so of lavender. It gives your hands instant hydration without being oily. If you have any cracks in your skin it does not sting. If you have any dirt on your hands it does lift this off. I have a dry skin and also eczema and this was very soothing on my hands. Yes I like this hand cream very much and would most certainly buy this to indulge in some loving luxury for my hands.
Tips: Also massage the cream into your cuticles, it has a softening effect on them. For a short time your hands are a little greasy until it absorbs so just wait a little time. Most certainly worth it.
I usually don't spend a lot on hand creams so was looking forward to trying this product. I had seen it in a department store and knew that it was a lot more than I would usually pay. I liked the plain packaging - and the 'green' claims of using natural ingredients, no animal testing, recyclable and made in NZ (buying local). The tube has a great screw lid so I was confident in throwing it into my handbag or keeping it in the car. The cream was a nice consistency - not too thin, thick or greasy. It spread really well onto my skin and a little went a long way. I mostly put the cream on the tops of my hands and only rubbed the residue into my palms and I could feel the oils working. I have some cracked skin from eczema and sometimes other creams will sting a bit, but this cream didn't sting at all, in fact it soothed my hands really well. The fragrance was strong at first but was lovely, I kept inhaling the lovely smell. The cream absorbed really well into my skin and my hands felt soft all day, even after washing them It was lovely to put it on again before bedtime and go to sleep with the calming scent.
Tips: It would make a lovely gift
This handcream is to die for! Everything about this made me happy... the smell was good, the texture was smooth and i loved the tube it came in! This lasted me for a very long time so I would definitely recommend it to you to try!
I'm a huge fan of The Aromatherapy Co products and absolutely loved every range from the company. I've recently came across this beautiful divine hand cream - Lavender and Wild Chamomile - the gorgeous smell makes it almost addictive to apply and the consistency of the cream was brilliant (not too sticky) and keeps my hands moisturized all day long. It's made of 100% essential oils -that's a bonus!!!
I also love the pretty packaging from The Aromatherapy and the size of this tube have lasted me for a good three months. That's not bad at all for only $17.95
Tips: Apply a generous amount before bedtime. It makes you feel calm and also makes your room smell divine. Massage the cream into your cuticles for a health and strong nails.
Absolutely loved this! Felt amazing on my hands and loved the smell (would be nice if the lavender smell lasted a bit longer though). My hands are starting to age a bit now, and this really smoothed out the skin and took away the dry feeling (lasting for hours). My nails have taken a battering lately too since I had a shellac manicure for my wedding and did a pretty bad job of getting the stuff off myself. This hand cream has really helped my nails too and they are recovering a lot faster.
Tips: No matter how much you are tempted, don't try this on your feet. Makes them slippery as hell and your feet slide out of your sandals!
