I think there should be different shades instead of just light and dark, as the light can be too dark for pale skin and make you look orange and thats the same for the dark, if you skin is dark the dark thin lizzy makes you look horribly dark. I think there should be extra light, light, medium, light dark and dark ect. My skins dark but i use the light and it still makes me look darker...

I watch a lot of infomercials being a stay at home mum, watching the thin Lizzy Ad the results looked amazing, so I got one. The brush is nice and soft which makes it easy to apply (did she'd after awhile), but the more I tried to contour the more darker my face got which made my face look really horribly dark. I didn't like this product at all, the lipgloss that comes with it was to sticky for me but the eyeliner was fine. Just a disappointing product for me.
Not a 6 in 1 as advertised for me, I only used as a bronzer. This product is quite sparkly and I thought heavily coloured so I used this only for night time events, not as a daily bronzer or powder. Good for the chest and shoulders and even legs when going out to an event.
Let's start with the 6 in 1 idea. Fantastic, really handy. But other than that Thin Lizzy did not meet my expectations. Thin Lizzy sets themselves up with a promotion that suggests their product can hide basically anything. Well it didn't even hide the little spot on my face completely. I tried applying more powder to see if layering the powder was the secret. It turned out only to be the secret to looking like an orange. So while I would love to say it was great, it was sadly not.
A friend of mine owns this product and absolutely loves it, and although I tend to use it when I am at her house, I have not been able to bring myself to buy it really. I don't think it compares to other products at all, and may just be best for those on a budget. I find the application can become very dark very quickly and also a little blotchy as an overall face powder. However, it does work a lot better as a bronzer or eye shadow. I find that if I want to use it, I have to allow myself a lot of time and concentration so that it doesn't look caked on, which I sometimes don't have time for. I don't know if I ever could buy it considering I am so much happier with other products.
Tips: Watch online youtube videos of the product and application so that you get a full understanding of how to use it! I have never done this myself, but I imagine that considering my friend loves it so much, there must be some way to make this work for you really well!
You see this powder advertised on TV all the time so I thought id give it a go... I found its a tricky thing to use when you start applying it, it doesn't look dark enough so you keep applying but afterwards it goes really dark and orange! Makes you look like a ompalumpa! I personally wouldn't buyit again and wouldn't recommen to friends
You watch the infomercials and they make this look so amazing, but then you try it at home and it's nothing like you thought. Even with the lightest shade it is too dark and orangey for my skin, it can work as a eye shadow and as a contour maybe, but I couldn't use it as an all over colour without people wondering if I were sick. The lip gloss that comes with it is horrible and sticky, the eyeliner is not too bad, but is really smudgy for me.
Have used this product for years as a subtle foundation/bronzer. Its easy to use and give an all over even looking tone. I love the black/brown liner that comes with the set...the black is perfect coverage and application for the eyes and the brown works well as a brow pencil. I found the actual thin lizzy brush tends to break away or come apart...would recommend using a better quality one. For first timers...a little goes a long way, so practice and play at home before you venture out (dont wanna long like a bronze fake lol). Would I use again...yep only for quick easy daywear.
Tips: Keep your brush clean and tidy or even better replace with a better one. Keep the inside of the compact clean and tidy (wipe excess powder of mirror or compact surround with a clean tissue every now and then). Keep your pencil nice and sharp and always replace the lid (keeps it nice and hygienic)
There is a lot of hype surrounding this product but I don't think it's for me. I found that it gave great coverage as a bronzer but was a too shimmery for my liking, the brush that it came with was good but after a while started losing stray fibers which was quite frustrating and the lipgloss was just a terrible sticky mess
I use this as a bronzer only. I tried using it as a foundation but its not a natural looking colour and made me very very orange. As a bronzer on my face neck and chest it is perfect. I have also used it as an eye shadow which worked well. Good to keep in your hand bag
