When it comes to aromatherapy I’m a total skeptic. But since COVID, I’ve quickly learned why it’s good to have certain oils diffusing in the home, and this one especially. Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is an essential oil distilled from the leaves of the native Australian plant Melaleuca alternifolia. I just love studying fancy inci names! Anyhoo… I thought I’d try diffusing tea tree from Thursday Plantation…why? Tea Tree boasts antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties… all of which is good to have in this current world we are in. This bottle comes in 3 sizes and they are well presented. Tea tree doesn’t slow down cell growth and turnover like many other oils do, which is a fancy way of saying that your skin still breathes and it won’t clog your pores - making it the perfect product for acne-probe skin and even for wound healing. And I have to stay, my state of not getting COVID or a single cold or sniffle over winter, seemed to coincide precisely to the time I started diffusing this product daily in my home. Coincidence or magic? You be the judge!
Tips: My favourite use! Grab a diffuser, drop in a few drops of Thursday Plantation’s tea tree oil as well as their eucalyptus and peppermint oils for a fresh fragrance that keeps the germs at bay.
Have used this stuff for a few years now and it works quite well. I used to use it for pimples but I found that it was a little too drying for my sensitive skin. What I really like this product for is mixing it with filtered water and using it to clean piercings. I used to use the cleaning stuff they sold at the piercing shops but I found that this product works even better and haven't had any irritation or infection since using it.
Tips: Mix with half water to use for cleaning piercings.
I love this! It is a mini miracle, from sore feet mixed with a little moisturiser, to antiseptic treatment for pimples, and the best ever product for removing head lice ( mix with conditioner and leave in overnight). It’s also fantastic at treating weepy eczema on the scalp. I love that is budget friendly and seems to have the best dropper insert of all the ones I’ve tried in the past. It’s not excessively potent, but strong enough to leave a lasting impression. Highly recommend
I love to use this on my acne ! Have done so for years and works a charm in removing redness and swelling. Great for those painful deep pore pimples. I highly recommend !
Tips: Be careful not to get on your pets ! Use in a well ventilated space to prevent poisoning your babies ! Use a generous amount on a cotton pad or put some on a cotton tip and gently pat onto pimples or troubled areas.
Such an all round good product. We use it on small infections to draw out the issue or on the chest to calm those pesky winter coughs. Also great for stopping the itch on insect bits. A must for all first aid kits
Absolutely love the smell of Tea Tree Oil! I found this has many great purposes.. however haven’t used it a lot. I did find that this is great for head lice!! Helps get rid of nasty lice as well as removing all the eggs. I added a few drops into the shampoo and it worked wonders, also adds a lovely refreshing smell to your hair.
I always have a bottle in my house, it’s very versatile. I use it for acne, bites, infections. I love the smell too!
A very useful product to add a little tea tree to anything. I used to use this on my acne spots and bug bite. I've also diluted it in aloe gel or creams when I've wanted to incorporate tea tree in my skincare.
Must have product to have in your house. Good for any skin condition whether it's a break in skin or fungal infection. Has good healing properties. Bonus:love the smell.
Tips: Add a few drops to bath.
