I brought this shampoo and the conditioner as I live the smell of tea tree oil. I found using this shampoo was good and you don't need a lot, however I have very long blonde hair and using this shampoo and conditioner was quite drying and left my hair really tangled. I had to find a leave in conditioner to use so I could comb my hair. My husband lives this shampoo and conditioner so it is a regular in our bathroom.
Tips: i think as an every now and then shampoo this is good for anybody with dandruff or skin conditions on their scalp, my husband suffers from acne in his hair (I think from constantly wearing a hat) and this certainly helps with that. Good for short hair but definitely not for long or dry hair.
I just purchased a bottle of this in my recent shop as it was on sale. It is very strong smelling but I was expecting that and the smell didn't linger after rinsing thankfully. I have waist length hair so always have to use quite a lot but found this actually went a long way. My hair gets very oily at the roots but very dry in the length and ends. I find most shampoos really frizz my locks up and this wasn't an exception. Putting that aside, my hair was left clean feeling and I had zero scalp irritation which is unusual for me. I found it a decent all round shampoo. I don't think i'd RAVE about it but it's certainly better than a lot of supermarket products I've tried.
Tips: If you have eczema give this one a go, the tea tree is very soothing and left my scalp calm which was nice for a change!
This product works great on hair extensions or weaves especially in summer when they can sometimes smell. Plantation tea tree shampoo eliminates bad odours and I gentle on the hair which makes it last longer.
I would recommend this product to anyone with fake hair.
I had started using this in the hope of helping give my itchy, irritated scalp a bit of extra TLC. The bottle is a basic flip top cap, nothing fancy which is fine but I found the plastic the bottle is made from a bit tricky to squeeze product out of without having to store it upside down once I’d got halfway through it. The product itself has a good consistency, it’s easy to lather with a little going a long way and upon application provides a nice soothing, tingly, cooling sensation on the scalp. The scent isn’t as strong once it’s been rinsed as I thought it would be which I see as a bonus, I didn’t particularly want to be smelling of tea tree permanently. This product was just “meh” for me. I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it unless it was at a really good price and if I had a bottle I’d happily use it.
Tips: I find it just as easy to add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to my shampoo. It does the same thing while using a shampoo more geared toward hairs needs.
I suffer from a sensitive, itchy and irritated scalp and have tried so many products. I found this shampoo to be cooling and cleans all the dandruff off my scalp. The tea tree smell is subtle which is good as some tea tree products I find overpowering. I would have to say some of the ingredients could be better.
I started using this on my children as it is meant to repel nits, I have to stay my kids did get nits but nearly as often as some of the other children in their class, smells great and made their hair squeaky clean
I really love this shampoo mostly because I absolutely love the smell! It smells very strongly of tea tree oil, but I find it to be so relaxing and therapeutic like aromatherapy.
It works up a decent lather, makes my blonde hair squeaky clean, and is a very reasonable price. I'm not such a fan of the conditioner, but this shampoo is a winner in my books.
My hair really didn't like this, but my make up brushes LOVE it. Cuts through all of the product really easily, leaves brushes clean, soft & smelling lovely. Anti-bactierial properties are the main reason why it occurred to me to use it for brush cleaning.
Should add why I didn't like it for my hair - difficult to wash out and made my hair super knotty.
Tips: Put on a plate with a drop of oil (I use argan or Jojoba), and swirl brush in it.
I brought this shampoo after searching online what would be a good product for a dry, sensitive scalp. The recommendation seemed to be pointing towards tea tree shampoo.
So, off I went in the search for tea tree shampoo, and I came across this in the pharmacy, it wasn't too pricey so thought it was definitely worth a go.
The packaging is in a white decent sized bottle, with a simple design to suit the Thursday Plantation range. I was looking forward to trying something more natural on my hair, to see if it would ease my dry, flakey scalp.
The smell of this shampoo is rather overpowering, and I'm really not a fan of the tea tree smell. But if it was going to be effective I'd put up with the smell!
My hair is blonde and very long, it can also be rather dry and frizzy in some places. This shampoo unfortunately was really drying for my hair and it felt quite tangly after using this. The conditioner from the range was also not hydrating at all.
I found the shampoo did nothing to help my dry, flakey scalp as well. Overall, I was rather disappointed and would not repurchase this again.
