Thursday Plantation Rosehip Oil

Of all the Rosehip Oil brands I've tried I would have to say this is definitely one of my favorites. I have normal to oily skin and just love the way the oil soaks into your skin within seconds of applying it and doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy. The oil is light, very easy to apply and I found that I didn’t need to use any other facial creams with this product – perfect for those mornings when you’re short on time. There is a slight fragrance but nothing overbearing and you don’t notice it once on. I found the product very economical; about 3-4 drops was plenty for my face and I used the product twice a day (morning and evening). There was no need to reapply during the day as one application in the morning lasts the entire day. I believe the product has definitely helped even my skin tone and blemishes. I haven’t been using it long enough to know if it minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but based on my initial experiences, I would definitely recommend Thursday Plantation Rosehip Oil to a friend!

Yes I did find that it did work as I do have a few scars on my face. I did not care for the smell as times it smelt like oil.

I like the packaging - it's attractive and the bottle is very small so fits on the bathroom shelf easily.

The product is an oil and only a small amount is needed for each use. I've been using it nightly for the bags under my eyes (pregnancy makes it hard to sleep) and I think it's made a positive difference.

I note that it doesn't smell like roses at all (somehow I thought it would) - more like olive oil.

I have been using this stuff as my "night cream" before I go to bed & I love it. It absorbs nicely and leaves skin feeling velvety soft and hydrated. The only thing I don't like is the way it is dispensed. A glass dropper would be better than the plastic thing it comes with. I would be more inclined to buy the Essano version because theirs come with the little dropper which I find easier to use. I did try to use it as a full face treatment for acne scars, but because I have oily skin, it made me break out quite badly. But is perfect to use around the eyes for fine lines

Ive used this rosehip oil on my entire body except my face. My face is super oily, so best I keep the rosehip oil far away from it.

Appeal and Packaging - The packaging of the oil is great which a dark brown glass bottle so you know the nutrients in the oil is going to maintained. Never trust a rosehip oil is its in a clear glass bottle because when light hits the bottle, the nutrients are destroyed. The bottle is great but I dont like the contraption for pouring out the oil. Its just the top, stuffed with a plastic stopper which makes it almost impossible to get a decent amount of product out of the bottle. I much prefer it when the bottle has a drop dispenser so you can control the amount of oil you want. Lastly, I hate the smell. Its way to earthy and nutty for my liking. I know its natural but the smell prevents me from using the oil during the daytime. I dont want to be offending peoples nostrils in daylight.

Effectiveness - Apart from the smell and the nozzle the oil is amazing. I've been using it over my body and it makes my skin super soft. Baby soft for a better word because my skin always feel youthful and glowing after using this. I use a few drops into a body lotion for an allover body treatment of about 2 drops on a specific area. I have a burn mark on my hand and the oil has been helping to lighten the scar.

This oil works slowly so you have to be patient and keep at it everyday if you want to see results. My burn mark was quite bad so I only started seeing fading in the mark about 2 months after using it and now its 6 months and its improved greatly.

I love that this oil is multi-purpose because it can used to target certain areas and be effective as well as be used for the entire body and still be effective. I love this oil but I think I love the Trilogy rosehip oil alot more as I feel its an oil I can use day and night without and offensive smell and therefore heal any scars much quicker by using it more often.

Wonderful! I apply lightly to my face as a moisturizer. It doesn't sit on top of the skin; it nourishes beautifully. I love it!

I found this to be very fragrant and not in a overly pleasant way. It had a very weird scent but still did the job. When applying the oil it had a very yellow tint but it faded after a few minutes. Apart from the weird smell it kept my skin soft and silky. Reduced redness and fine lines.

Thus product has worked wonders on my dark areas of face which was brought on by pregnancy but unfortunately because I have naturally oily skin it made my skin break out. But other than that this is a fantastic product

I have been using this each night, I was a bit scared to use it in the morning before heading out for the day due to it being so oily. I do like how hydrating it is , it goes on nice and easy and I think its a great for a night moisturiser. Its hard to tell if its making any difference to my uneven skin tone but I'm happy to keep using and find out!

This oil is beautiful smelling and really light. It's nice to put on your skin, and I used it quite a bit on my hands and cuticles. I didn't notice any real differences to my skin, but that might come over time. The small bottle makes it a little inefficient to use on your face and I didn't find it as nourishing as plain old coconut or olive oil. It is however, much lighter than both of those. I used a bit of it on some surgical scars as well. It would take quite a while, I assume, to make much difference to my scars appearance, but it felt really lovely. I'm going to keep using it and see if my opinion of it changes at all.
