Thursday Plantation Ultra Hydrating Macadamia Oil Review

I get really dry elbows and knees, and i never knew how bad it actually was until I started using the Macadamia Oil. I can run my hands over my knees and elbows without it feeling like sandpaper. Smells good! Didn't expect it to smell like that but its nice! I didn't really want to use it on my face because i get really oily skin but trying it after cleansing and washing my face, My skin wasn't oily at all but nice and soft and plump! I recommend to all people who want nice soft plump skin!

My first impressions of this product is that the packaging was a bit cheap looking, granted it is a lower end brand but I'm used to using face oils in glass with pretty packaging. It has a pump to distribute the product which is less fiddly than the droppers other brands offer.

On my first application I was really hit with the strong lavender smell. I am not a huge fan of lavender and don't like overtly scented face products as I mix and match from other brands and don't want to over power the other products I use.

Aside from the horrible scent this oil was quite nice to use. It easily absorbed into my skin after being massaged. The texture was perfect; not too thick and not too runny. I feel like it gave me a good level of hydration and my face feel smooth and soft. My under eye area has become a bit plumper too. I use the leftover product to give myself a quick hand massage as I have super dry hands and it's made my cuticles a bit softer too.

All in all I feel that this is a very reasonably priced product which I will continue to use, i don't think I would repurchase though as I really don't like the lavender scent.

A nice oat coloured box with cute wee picture plane but attractive. My favourite nut to eat and now one of my favourite oils to use. A nice plastic bottle a clear plastic with a pump top. Yum smells of the sweetest nut and a strong lavender scent I find it quite pleasant and it doesn't linger. This oil is clear not grainy and soft, I get the best results with this used over top of a cream, if I used it under a cream I got quite greasy. I cleanse my face apply a serum a cream and moisturise my freshly showered body, I squirt a reasonable amount on the palms of my hands and go for it face body and neck I rub this oil in the absorption rate is fast the result is awesome soft moisturised hydrated skin. This brand has ticked all the boxes for natural and cruelty free. I actually think with this oil I have found one that my skin just adores and really responds to for me my skin has really improved using this it's not dare and around a tablespoon full does me head to toe. No improvement in any lines but there is in my skins softness . Yes I this is a repurchase for me most definitely.

I have very sensitive skin so I was worried this product would interfer with my skin more. I wash my face towel dried and applied the oil. The oil itself wasn't heavy and my skin sucked it up. My skin on my face didn't feel it had much on it. The smell is a little strong but not to the point you can't stand it after a while it soothed away. I jumped into bed woke up this morning and my skin was so soft! I washed again applyed the oil then applied skin food light moisturizer and put on my make up as normal. This was slightly different my skin was soft and make up was easy to put on the oil didn't mess with my foundation. With daily use i could see this product being awesome i will definitely be buying more of it.

This product is AMAZEBALLS - The Packaging offers a soft neutral effect that is attractive. The oil itself comes out feeling rather "thick" but once you start rubbing it into your skin it quickly absorbs and leaves your skin feeling delish all day long.

If I were to compare this to what I think is a similar product - Bio Oil which I also love - The Macadamia Oil will win hands down.

It is cheaper, it seems to last longer, it feels more natural on my skin, does not leave a scent that can get tiring or sickly throughout the day.

I used some on my sons eczema and its helping him look fresh and vibrant instead of dry!!!!

The only thing I was not to keen on was using this product on my face as it does give a "thick" feeling to it but on my tummy, arms and legs its amazing and I would be happy to purchase more.

The Macadamia Nut oil is great value for $21.99

This oil comes in a clear bottle with a pump. It is a light straw colour and is lavender scented. I originally bought this for my face, and it is nice but doesn't absorb as well as almond oil or apricot kernel oil. So I use it on my body as an after shower moisturiser. Although it seems quite thick, it massages into my skin really well and my skin drinks it up. The lavender scent appears to be quite strong, but quickly fades leaving a light floral scent on my skin. I also use it on my hair as a pre wash deep conditioner and it makes my hair feel strong and soft. Definitely a new fav for body and hair care. Will be repurchasing.

Such an amazing product to use. It comes in a pastic clear jar with a pump. The oil has a nice lavender scent to it, can be quite overpowering. It has a thick texture to it but feels nice when applying to skin, it has like a soothing calming feeling to it. I love to use the product mixed in with my conditioner, ive found it to make my hair feel silky smooth and not greasy. Love the product
