Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

I was recommended this by this sales assistant at Sephora who said that this would really lengthen and curl eyelashes. I'd seen plenty of praise about this online as well so I thought I'd give it a try since my dior mascara was running out. I have worn this three times and all three times it turned out to be a colossal disappointment.

Things I like The shape of the want makes it easy to reach every eyelash, and it really fits the contours of my eye. The mascara does indeed make my lashes look thicker and longer and doesn't clump much.

Things I don't like After applying this my previously curled eyelashes drooped back to their sad straight state. It smudged all around my under eyes after just half a day out. The price is close to a high end mascara, but it really doesn't perform like one.

I don't know about others, maybe if your lashes are naturally curly this might be better for you. But my experience with this has been really disappointing. Perhaps I had been expecting a holy grail mascara but this is just a 'meh, pretty good' one for me.

I have been using this mascara for about two years now and I absolutely love it!

My eyelashes are quite long but they sort of go downwards/outwards so a lot of mascaras you can barely see any pretty effect without a curler but I find with Better Than Sex the brush is able to curl my eyelashes upwards making my eyes really pop!

I also love how this mascara stays on all day but is super easy to remove! Although I prefer to use proper makeup removers this mascara comes off just as easily with water which is awesome.

The only complaint I seem to have with this mascara is it always runs out quite quickly. I can use other mascaras for ages but Better Than Sex seems to run out out after about 3 of daily months for me. Although in saying that I have read you should not keep mascaras for very long so perhaps this is really just good timing.

From the first use i fell in love with this. I got it in the Hotel Grande Cafe set and i was a bit iffy on trying it as i heard mixed reviews HOWEVER it is such an amazing product! It coats all my lashes and leaves them full of volume and long. It even gets the ones that usually get left behind.

The applicator is kinda big, so i use this for my top lashes and to blend my lashes with falsies and use my Mac haute & naughty for my bottom lashes.

A friend bought this for me in Aussie, so I got a surprise seeing the box, was relieved to see it was mascara...I have the waterproof one and I love it. My eyes are very sensitive and I have no problems with it.

This mascara is my jam! It is my absolute favourite mascara so far. It makes my lashes look huge! The formula is great, its not too dry nor too wet and applies really well. The wand is a bit big so the product does transfer to your eye lid which is a bit of a pain. It doesn't come off easily so you do need a good eye make up remover for this.

I bought this overseas after seeing much hype around it and not being able to find it here. It's certainly not cheap and looks fancy. To use however I found it oversized, the wand wirey (mind not to scratch yourself) and the mascara clumpy. Will not be repurchasing.

I purchased this in a gift pack as I had read reviews and was a bit skeptical. I also purchased the queen size lashes in a full size but I find the BTS waaaay better. the brush is has different size bristles and isn't clumpy. I like thick bold lashes and BTS definitely gives this to you! it didn't flake for me at all. it reminds be of MAC's haute & naughty but BETTER! I love the sleek pink packaging too!

Not worth the price in my opinion, it's quite clumpy and doesn't give my lashes definition, just a lot of volume and not a lot of length, it's really black which is nice but still not what I look for in a mascara. It doesn't flake or smudge on me though so it's okay in that respect.

I had heard of so many things about this mascara that I just had to try it for myself. It is blimmin' expensive and I picked it up in a beautylish haul. May I just mention I hate the name, it is so much of a marketing gimmick. If any mascara lives up to this name you are doing something wrong.

The packaging is pretty intense for this mascara. It feels like a metal tube and has a light pink finish which is pretty cute. The name is embossed down the side which I really like as it means it won't wipe off like so many of my other makeup products. The brush is really fibrous which I like. It seems to be able to get onto every single lash and coat them in plenty of product.

Now the formula of the actual mascara is what I don't really like. When I first got this it was so wet! I put it on and I would always get mascara everywhere. Now I have been applying mascara for quite a few years now so it isn't like I am a novice or anything. So I had seen a few reviews saying this gets better with age so I left it a few months (ignoring best before dates or anything) and tried it again. Suddenly the formula was drier and much easier to use. It still coats every lash in a black as black formula, defines adds volume and keeps my lashes curled. Also I don't find it to hard to remove at all. BUT the reason I won't purchase this again or recommend this to anyone is that it flakes all day. I get to a mirror around 3pm and their are black flakes all around my eyes! It is so annoying because I love the look on my eyelashes but I can't stand the flaking and won't put up with it when there are so many great mascaras out there.

So this mascara is now way past its used by date and I think it is time for me to move on to something (hopefully) better.
