This higlighter gives a very nice glow to the skin. Its got gold toned shimmers to it, which i suppose is what makes it look like you're in the glow of a flame. As long as you don't use a heavy hand with this product its fine for everyday, although it looks incredible under artificial lights so that's why i prefer it for night time. As for the 'duo' that this has, i dont really see too much of a difference between the pink and white shades. The white is a little more sheer and the pink a little more warm toned. I swirl them together anyway so it doesn't bother me. I think this is the perfect highlighter for night time, it just gives the face that extra oomph lol. Its not chunky shimmers in it either, and its super easy to apply, it doesn't get everywhere and make you look like a disco ball. It can be very subtle but you can build it up to your desired finish. The packaging is sooo cute as well, and it comes with an awesome sized mirror for touch ups through out the night :)

Tips: Swirl the duo together with a small fluffy brush and sweep onto the high points of your face, these being your cheekbones, nose bridge, brow bones and cupids bow. I usually only apply it too my cheek bones and cupids bow.
This product is great for glowing skin and highlighting those cheekbones! Great about of shimmer but no obvious glitter particles which is me pet hate for highlighters or shimmers.
Tips: You only need a little bit so use a fluffy brush.
After seeing Chickoboo's flawless skin and her telling me she uses this, Too Faced's Candlelight Glow had been on my 'to buy' list. I am a massive, massive fan of their Chocolate Bar palette so I assumed that this would live up to my high expectations.
This was given to me as an extremely extravagant gift from the beautiful Janey on here. She completely shocked me with gifting this to me (Janey if you are reading this, thank you so, so much!!).
As with the Chocolate Bar palette, the packaging for this is ultra feminine and very extravagant. I feel like a real life princess whenever I go to use this! The compact is so exquisite and I urge you to google an image of it if you want to see what I am talking about.
The inside of the compact is just as beautiful, with one side of the powder being a luminous, beautiful gold and the other side a stunning shell pink. Across both of the powders is Too Faced's chandelier which just adds to the princess feeling.
I have used both powders alone and also mixed together. I don't have a preference in which way to use them - I truly love all three results.
This is the perfect highlighter as it is sooooooooooooo pigmented and it literally lasts all day on my face. You need only a small amount of product so I imagine that this will last a long time as well.
There are no issues with fall out and there is no glitter in the powder. You can also use this lightly all over your face to give off a sexy, immaculate glow to your skin.
I can't rave about this enough - it is so, so beautiful and has fast become a staple in my makeup collection. If you are wondering if you should buy it... the answer is 110% YES.
Anyone that knows me knows I am obsessed with highlighters. I love them to bits because I love a matte finish and this just gives that pop on your cheeks.
This is the most expensive product I have ever bought (to date) - a friend went over to Sephora and I asked her if she could pick it up for me, because I read the reviews on the Candlelight and they sounded incredible! I did actually want the invisible powder, but I was equally stoked when she came back with this.
First of all, the packaging is so luxe! It's a beautiful mix of cream, white and gold with a chandelier on it. It screams luxury! It opens so easily, but it closes without opening, so you can be sure it will survive the journey in your bag.
When you open it there are two highlighters, a gold one and a pink one, and the same chandelier etched into the product. I'm going to cry when I've used it so much the chandelier disappears.
Both shades look more or less the same to me, the only thing I can think of is that the pink is a cooler tone than the gold. Anyways, I just swirl my brush around once - you really DON'T need much product - and swipe it onto my cheekbones.
It's really subtle enough to use over your whole face as well, haha! Yes, I was stupid enough to mistake it for a powder and ended up using it as such, but my face looked gorgeous!
Unlike other highlighters that fade, this one doesn't, and it truly leaves you with a stunning glow.
I need the invisible powder too, but I will definitely purchase this again! If I see it somewhere I will definitely get it.
After seeing a few BR ladies raving about this product I had to try it myself! I am obsessed with highlighters and think that they enhance your look so much! Dewy, glowing looking skin is a favorite of mine and the too face candlelight glow creates the most natural glow I have ever seen. The packaging of this product is so luxurious and very classic. I love the chandelier on the front, and also love that this is embossed into the product itself! The packaging Is sturdy and doesn't look cheap at all. There is a handy mirror inside and two different shades. I think this is great value for money as you can use this product in many different ways. I always swirl the to shade together and use as a highlighter on my cheekbones, down my nose and in my cupids bow. I like to use the highlight on its on as an inner corner highlight or under my brow bone. I hardly ever use the pink shade on its own but I find it gives a lovely golden shimmer as opposed to the highlighter shade that gives a whiter, brighter highlight. This product also makes your skin look AMAZING in photos! I'm always being told my skin is glowing and it definitely is thanks to the too faced candlelight glow! I've used this almost every day since purchasing and have barely even scratched the surface of the product. I would definitely recommend this to those of you looking for a highlighter. It's worth the money and will last a very long time.
Tips: Use the smallest amount. I like to use a small fan brush to apply to most areas and use my fingers for the cupids Bow, brow bone or inner corner highlight. If you use too much you may find that this product can make your pores appear larger or look a bit shimmery. If I use too much I then use a large blush brush to blend out x
This was one of my most anticipated products ! – I was sold after seeing all Chikiboo’s pictures on instagram wearing it and how beautiful it looked and reading the glowing reviews of this stuff. I was so super duper excited to try this!
The packaging of this is beautiful, it’s a stunning compact with a mirror on the inner lid and two gorgeous higlight shades on the inside with a chandelier pattern embossed into the product. One of my favourite beauty items asthetically so far .
The colours are amazing, I’ve been trying loads of different types of highlights from powders to creams /liquids but this one is stunning the white side has a golden glow to it quite a warm shade and the pink rosey side looks to have a similar golden glow to it but when you swatch these on your hands you can see the subtle differences. The white side is definitely more a warm goldeny colour that will bring a bit of life to your face while the pink is a little more on the shimmery brighter highlighting side.
The pigment of these is gorgeous, I applied to the top of my cheeks/cheek bones, a swipe down my nose and a dot on my chin and a wee dot on my cupids bow. I also used this as the brow bone highlighter aswell – I applied to my face using my artiste contour/blush brush (just used my finger for the cupids bow and my eyeshadow brush for the brow bone). I was going to use just each side but then I thought what the hey and swiped along both of these and got a beautiful swirl of both colours.
This is the perfect highlight for me - its subtle but could easily be built up to be something much more for a night out - its shimmery but not in your face glittery and the colour really brightens up my face rather just highlighting I feel like it injects a bit of life into it aswell. I really truly love this – it has given my face a new lease of life and my makeup a new lease of life. Currently im pregnant and getting bigger by the minute but I am trying my best to keep myself looking fresh and alive (even when I don’t feel it) and this is the icing on my makeups cake people have commented on how healthy and glowing I look and I would like to claim it’s the hormones but its not its this product.
It lasted throughout my whole work day – I put this on at 6 in the morning and it was still there making me look fabulous at 6 when I got home that night.
I don’t think I could possibly recommend this enough.
I will 1000% be purchasing this again if I ever run out but I really think it would take you a long time to run out of this stuff you don’t need a lot it will just last and last.
My friend always had great "highlight" and I finally questioned her products and was introduced to this !! I'm so impressed by this product, it gives u almost an extra added that makes u look extra youthful :) I love this so much. I have a massive highlighter collection but this is deff one of my faves so far !
Tips: My fave way to apply this is a mini fan brush :)
If I could only recommend ONE highlighter to anyone (what sort of evilness is this!?) I would recommend Too Faced Candlelight. I own quite a few highlighters but this one truly stands out amongst the rest.
Whether you use each side of the duo separately or together you are left with a luminous sheen which I have worn with or without a full face of makeup for the past 3 months.
The chunky cheap plastic compact holds a whopping 10g and a good quality mirror. The chandelier on the lid of the compact is embossed on the product which I find rather cute but other than that packaging is nothing special.
The product has a buttery texture and applies beautifully on the skin. It leaves an iridiscent sheen and under low lighting it really looks like your face has a candle lit glow - I have tried this highlighter in a number of different lighting so this one truly is a winner for me. I love that it has no shimmer or glitter so I can easily pack on my highlighter with no risk of that "metallic" look like you have with TheBalm Mary Loumanizer. You can sheer this highlighter out without losing the glow or colour.
My only issue with this highlighter is that it doesn't photograph too well - I'm still working on it but I can't capture it's true glow like I can with Laura Mercier Indiscretion from just using my phone. The lasting power is pretty good, I manage to get a good 7-8 hours. I can not recommend this enough!
Tips: Using a medium angled brush I "dab/press" my highlight from top of my ear to the apple of my cheeks (oh yes I go that far with highlighters haha) and up to my temples (sweeping motion for this part). I then apply my blush because it just looks well blended that way and creates a lovely contrast.
I've taken forever to decide how I feel about this highlighter - and I think the fact that I got the Becca one a day before I got this coloured my view of it. To make a fair call I decided to use this exclusively for the last ten days and set my Becca one aside.
I decided long before my trip to Sydney that I wanted this, but then BR sent me on a highlighter shopping mystery shopper mission to Sephora, who don't stock Too Faced, and so I got the Becca one there. I then found Mecca Maxima and was taken with how pretty this was, so consulted BR highlighter Queen Koni and she was pretty emphatic that I needed both, so I went for it :)
Now... although this review isn't super glowing, this is only because on me I prefer the Becca and keep comparing this to that no matter how hard I try. I do like this, and would have been totally happy with it had I not discovered Becca.
Too Faced Candlelight Glow comes in a 'vanilla' coloured plastic compact with pink and gold lettering on top of a pink chandelier. The compact snaps closed securely, and opens to reveal a good sized round mirror, and the product.
Candlelight Glow is split down the centre, with the left hand side a champagney shade and the right a rose shade. Both are embossed with a chandelier image over the top, which (of course) wears off as you use it.
Although visibly different in the compact, the two shades are very similar on with only a slight hint of pink in one and gold in the other. I mix the two for application, and get an overall rose gold shimmer to the highlight.
This is way more visible on application than in pictures, so it really depends on what you're looking for as to how you apply it. I took suggestions from several including applying it whole face under foundation (meh), whole face over foundation (Twilight) and using it as I use any other highlighter, and this is what I settled on.
After the rest of my face is done, i use a contour brush/ eyeshadow blending brush (I have a special one for highlighter!) and lightly dust this on my cheekbones, decolletage, down the middle of my nose and under my brow arches. Sometimes I've also used it as eyeshadow, or as inner corner highlight.
I've had to experiment so much to find my happy place with this, but I was determined to make it work because Koni is so in love with it and her calls are generally on point!
Like I say, because I fell in love at first sight with the Becca this one had a hard battle for my affection, but it got there in the end. It's a very pretty highlighter that has become my 'everyday' lately - I'm working from home and it's nice to add a touch of gorgeous to my mornings :)
Tips: definitely play around with it to see how it can fit into your makeup looks. There is so much possiblility in this pretty little compact <3
When I purchased the Too Faced Candlelight absolutely invisible powder I saw this Candlelight Glow as part of their collection and was taken in by the prettiness of it and its claims to offer a subtle romantic sheen to your face, yep I got sucked in but it works!!
As with the invisible powder the packaging is similar in it beige-gold compact with the name & image of the product printed in a pink/purple glow effect, it looks really pretty atop my makeup organiser. Inside there is a mirror and deep seated powder of two halves, one side is a soft pale pink the other is a deeper pink both loaded with a soft shimmer of silver/gold glitters. Embossed into the powder is an image of chandelier which just adds to its cuteness. Even after using this on several occasions now the chandelier is still clearly visible.
I use this as a blusher on nights out, it’s not something I would wear day to day but is excellent for nights out where the lighting isn’t its best it really makes you face glow. I use a soft blusher type powder brush to swipe this powder over my cheeks, up beside my temples, down my nose and on the tip of my chin, then use the invisible powder to blend it all together to get a soft effect, that actually trims my round fat face =)
If you are scared or haven’t used highlighters before and the whole blending situation is new to you then I would highly recommend this product as its soft and sheer that you can start out lightly and build it up gradually, and if used with the invisible powder its easy to get an easy yet soft, delicate, feminine glow.
