After seeing Chickoboo's flawless skin and her telling me she uses this, Too Faced's Candlelight Glow had been on my 'to buy' list. I am a massive, massive fan of their Chocolate Bar palette so I assumed that this would live up to my high expectations.
This was given to me as an extremely extravagant gift from the beautiful Janey on here. She completely shocked me with gifting this to me (Janey if you are reading this, thank you so, so much!!).
As with the Chocolate Bar palette, the packaging for this is ultra feminine and very extravagant. I feel like a real life princess whenever I go to use this! The compact is so exquisite and I urge you to google an image of it if you want to see what I am talking about.
The inside of the compact is just as beautiful, with one side of the powder being a luminous, beautiful gold and the other side a stunning shell pink. Across both of the powders is Too Faced's chandelier which just adds to the princess feeling.
I have used both powders alone and also mixed together. I don't have a preference in which way to use them - I truly love all three results.
This is the perfect highlighter as it is sooooooooooooo pigmented and it literally lasts all day on my face. You need only a small amount of product so I imagine that this will last a long time as well.
There are no issues with fall out and there is no glitter in the powder. You can also use this lightly all over your face to give off a sexy, immaculate glow to your skin.
I can't rave about this enough - it is so, so beautiful and has fast become a staple in my makeup collection. If you are wondering if you should buy it... the answer is 110% YES.
When I purchased the Too Faced Candlelight absolutely invisible powder I saw this Candlelight Glow as part of their collection and was taken in by the prettiness of it and its claims to offer a subtle romantic sheen to your face, yep I got sucked in but it works!!
As with the invisible powder the packaging is similar in it beige-gold compact with the name & image of the product printed in a pink/purple glow effect, it looks really pretty atop my makeup organiser. Inside there is a mirror and deep seated powder of two halves, one side is a soft pale pink the other is a deeper pink both loaded with a soft shimmer of silver/gold glitters. Embossed into the powder is an image of chandelier which just adds to its cuteness. Even after using this on several occasions now the chandelier is still clearly visible.
I use this as a blusher on nights out, it’s not something I would wear day to day but is excellent for nights out where the lighting isn’t its best it really makes you face glow. I use a soft blusher type powder brush to swipe this powder over my cheeks, up beside my temples, down my nose and on the tip of my chin, then use the invisible powder to blend it all together to get a soft effect, that actually trims my round fat face =)
If you are scared or haven’t used highlighters before and the whole blending situation is new to you then I would highly recommend this product as its soft and sheer that you can start out lightly and build it up gradually, and if used with the invisible powder its easy to get an easy yet soft, delicate, feminine glow.
