Too Faced The Return of Sexy Eyeshadow Palette

I bought this a while ago second hand off a facebook page. I love the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette so I was keen on trying out more Too Faced items.

The packaging of this is the best part! It is quite a thick palette and has a really good weight to it. It does up really securely so it won't open and make a mess if you have it travelling with you. It is quite a simple design but I think it looks nice and elegant, a lot of TF designs are quite young and cutesy but I think this is well done. The inside has a small mirror, it's not the best for doing your makeup as it's a bit too small but the quality is good so you won't look distorted in it.

The shadows are presented in a way that there is three sets of five shadows. A warm bronze, a purple lot and a cooler taupe/grey set. These are all heavily shimmered shadows or what I like to refer to as glitter bombs. There is not even one matte shade in here which I think is a real let down. Another real letdown is these are not even nice to use. I first tried the gold out and I really struggled to get a decent pigment out of it. What I did get though, was a lot of glitter all over my cheek. The only real way I've found to use this, is my using them wet. I just spray setting spray on my brush first, dip it in the eyeshadow and then apply that to my eye. It makes the glitters not fall out so much and actually gives a decent colour payoff as well. Some colours are still duds though, the purple isn't as intense and dulls to a browny shade, the gold isn't as great either. They last fine on my lids all day though, I don't really get creasing or much fading.

I'm going to try and sell my palette, I can't really see myself picking this up again. I can't recommend it either unless you really love shimmers and don't mind having to use them wet.

When I ordered this I didn't realise EVERY shade is either shimmer or glitter. I am a firm believer you need some matte to balance out the shimmer. In saying that, the colours are pigmented and beautiful but I just can't do a whole look using this palette. The packaging is beautiful and comes with their Perfect Eyes Waterproof Liner in black, which is AMAZING! The best eyeliner I've ever used. It also comes with a card for each colour set in the palette. These have a day and a night look but I have followed them and was not happy with any of them. I guess it comes down to personal preference but if you're looking for a palette to do it all, I wouldn't recommend this one. If you're just wanting to use it as a pop of colour/shimmer in addition to another palette, then perfect!

Got this baby off BeautyBay. I was after something which had a range of colours so when travelling I only need to take the one palette. I decided upon this Too Faced palette as it looked like it had the best shades suited for me, and also it came with an eyeliner pencil and shadow insurance! It was also reasonably priced.

When I received this the packaging is just beautiful! It is a hard plastic elegant black case. Inside there are also cards showing you how to apply the colours for day and night looks.

Basically, majority of the shades have good colour payoff and the colour blocks work well together. It has to be noted that all colours are shimmery - it you prefer matte eyeshadows this is definitely not for you! I wasn't aware that this was the case but oh well, I still use it daily anyways :) Some of the lighter colours I find the glitter to be a bit chunky, and after a few hours wear you will find a bit of fallout of the glitter onto your cheeks.

The eyeliner that it comes with is waterproof and very creamy - it probably needs sharpening quite often.

Other then that, I don't rate this very highly only cause the shades are all shimmery so it's not very versatile. It is still a gorgeous palette

I have had this palette for a while, but have only just got around to using it recently. This is probably because it is a palette more suited to nights out and other special occasions rather than everyday looks. However in saying that I applied the shadows with a light hand this morning and I think it looks fine for a day look...but I'm a fan of shimmery shadows big time.

This palette has beautiful packaging which is very classy looking and functional. It is encased in thick black plastic and closes nice a securely. I like that it comes with a nice large mirror and cards with different eye looks to try with the palette. The palette includes a primer and lovely black eyeliner which are just as awesome and a great addition to the palette. The liner is super soft and lasts well, making it great for lining the tightline or waterline as well as smudging out eyeliner for a smokey eye look.

As with other too faced shadows I own the shadows in this palette are buttery soft, nicely pigmented and oh so blendable. The shades are all shimmery (with micro-glitter (however this is less noticeable in some shades) so if your not huge on shimmer shadows this is definitely not the palette for you. I love all the shades the middle purple "The icon" set of shades is my favourite (I'm a sucker for a beautiful purple shade!). I find the shadows to be long wearing and I am really enjoying using this palette. The only issue I have with this palette is fall out. As all the shades have micro glitter this is to be expected I guess but I find with primer this is much less of an issue. I recommend tapping excess of the brush and holding a tissue beneath the eye well applying as this is when a lot of the shimmer ends up on the cheeks.

This probably isn't a must have palette as it is all shimmer shades so is not as versatile as other high end palettes and like I said initially most people would use this more for special occasion/night looks so it would not get as much use. In saying that I do not regret purchasing this palette and would recommend it to any other fellow glitter lovers.
