Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat Review

I have only just started to get into Sally Hansen polishes because they aren't readily available in our small town farmers so have to travel or buy online. And I regret not buying them sooner they really are the bees knees. The top coat is the best out of the 3 different brands of top coats I own.

The brush is the same as the gel polishes it's flat with the corners rounded off making it very easy to apply. the bottle is sturdy and easy to hold

I love how this keeps my nail polish looking glossy and shiny and it definitely helps to prevent chipping. It also helps to dry your nail polish if it's still slightly wet. After using this I'm completely in love and wouldn't be able to be without it now.

This is pretty near a miracle top coat: I chip nailpolish so quickly, no matter what type I use, and up until I got this I was just resigned to my polish only lasting a couple of days before I'd have to change it. Now, however, I can get up to a week out of an average polish, and if I use this in conjunction with the coloured Miracle Gel polishes, even longer than that.

The polish comes in a black glass bottle with a nice sized easy to grip top. The brush is quite wide and flat, which I love, as it means I can coat my nails in one or two strokes, and the polish is dispersed evenly and quickly.

While this isn't a quick-drying topcoat, it really doesn't take too long to dry. Natural light is best, as it cures the polish and ensures it will in fact last as long as it says. It leaves a super super glossy finish; definitely reminiscent of a 'proper' gel manicure, and stays glossy until it comes off.

When this does finally begin to show wear, it peels rather than chips off. However by the time it gets to that point I'm usually ready to change colours anyway, and it's very easily removable with normal nail polish remover.

Overall, I really love this top coat. It extends wear amazingly, can be used over any nail polish, and looks stunning and shiny. Love!

I brought this nail polish as part of a set when these range first came out and I also got a coloured polish aswell.

This nail polish is a clear top coat, and comes in a black plastic bottle, with a plastic lid which twists off to show the nail polish brush attached (like most nail polish designs).

I have to admit I really like the brush on the nail polish. Its white in colour and It's quite wide and thick so two strokes and the whole nail is covered. Plus because the brush is thick it can hold a lot of polish so you don't get streaky dry marks.

The formula of these polish seems nice aswell, it's a nice consistency and is a clear transparent top coat. Once the nail polish dry, it does set like gel nail polish and wears like gel nailpolish so it wears for a good 3-4 days before it starts chipping. So far so good right?

Well unfortunately that's where all the good things stop because I hate this top coat with a passion.

I feel like the ingredients in this too coat are overly strong because when I actually put it on my nails, it strips the polish and leaves bald patches on my nails. It's not so bad when your nails are only one colour, but when I am making more details nail looks, these nail polish destroys it by Blurring lines, smudging colour and leave gaps with no polish at all.

When i do light thin coats, Sometimes my nails works out! But 95% of the time this ruins my nail looks an it's so frustrating so I will be throwing this out or passing it along to my sister.

I bought this amazing gel top coat along with a couple of gel colours and I will honestly say that it was the best thing I have done for my nails in a long time. You have to make sure you are picking the top coat as it is in a black bottle and you might mistake it for the black gel colour. After I have applied the gel colour and it has dried, I put a coat of the gel top coat on. The brush is the best I have ever used, it has a flat stem and a nice wide brush which applies the polish easily. It dries pretty quickley and leaves an awesome shine. If I am careful my polish will last a good week, which for me is fabulous.

I got this in a set with the Flower Crown Gel color. This top coat gives my manicures I very shiny gel like finish. It smooths out over any of the streaks where I did multiple coats of color. The brush is wide and that makes it easier to apply in a couple strokes, which is a good thing considering how thick this top coat is. It takes longer to dry than other top coats and it can easily get imprints and dents on it while it's drying if your nails bump into or touch anything. The bottle is opaque and black which I don't know if it's to preserve the integrity of the product, but it's annoying as you tend to go through top coats and base coats quicker than colored polishes. And since you need this to go with the "miracle" gel line it's nice to see how much you have left in the bottle and the consistency before you start painting rather than halfway through your manicure. Aside from that pretty gel finish I'm not super keen on this top coat. It doesn't seem to make my manicure last longer and it peels off at the tips about two days after I did my mani. As much I like the shiny finish, also like convenience and my mani setting and drying quickly and not getting imprints in it. So I'm not so sure I'd be getting more of this.

I bought this after reading a few reviews and have mixed feeling on this one. Firstly I bought from a nail bar and cost was $ 13 which I was really pleased with. I like the black bottle but with the availability of black nail polish you need to be very careful you get the right product. I applied my usual polish and let dry really well prior to applying the top coat after reading the other reviews. Yes I also love the brush in this product -lovely and wide and easy to use however even though my nail polish was well set it still picked up the colour and stained the brush which is why I have reservations and gave a 4. The end result was an amazing shine on my nails and I received a lot of compliments on the finish however I do use a computer all day and after 3 days the ends were all chipped. Maybe I am applying wrong and need more practice however I would purchase again and perhaps try another product next time as a comparison

I picked this up for cheap at Love My Makeup after being super impressed with the Sally Hansen gel range.

I love the sleek black packaging, the distinctive bottle (square base, round top) and the rubber band on the lid which makes it easier to grip on and open the bottle. The brush is at the end of a thin rectangular wand, meaning that it's a wide, flat brush, which i LOVE.

The formula spreads well and dries quickly to a nice, glossy finish. It wears pretty well (i'm ROUGH on my hands but it copes for a few days before needing a wee touch up). I don't find it excessively pungent, either, which is nice.

I'd definitely buy it again - the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's def a top coat ONLY. I like 2 in one Top/Base coats, but when I wear it like that, the polish peels off (side bonus; if you WANT the polish to come off super easy, ie it's a quick look for one day/night, this works a treat).

Worth a go!

Getting this was a mistake, I got this in the Beauty review vault but I added this to my cart thinking it was a black nail polish, talk about doing things in a rush, I didn't want to miss out.

The Sally Hansen miracle gel bottles are so cute, I really like the packaging of the bottle, they are more stable compared to the cheap nail polish I own.

I like this brush, it is wide and flat, it adds a consistent amount of top coat on to your nails, and it gets the shop done so quickly and effectively. I am highly impressed how there is little to no scent with this range of nail polish and dry time is very quick.

I have a wide range of cheap nail polish that doesnt last very long but since I got this top coat it gives my nails a much longer wear time before they chip. Without the top coat my cheap nail polish would last a few hours to 1 day. Now it is prolonged to 3 day plus.

I highly recommend this top coat, It has been very handy to use, not to mention fast to apply and fast drying.

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat has been my go-to top coat for about a year now! I love it so much.

I only have several of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colours and the top coat makes them last for about two weeks which is a heck of a lot longer than any of my other nail polishes!

I also like to use this top coat over my other brands of normal nail polish and I find that they last longer than when I use a regular top coat.

The brush is flat and nice and wide meaning that I can cover almost my whole nail in one swipe which is great.

My only negative about this product is that after about 8 months, the brush has started to fall apart, making application difficult.
