I was not at all impressed with this product. It was like trying to put body lotion in my hair. It left my hair feeling sticky, greasy and my hair straightener didn't want to co-operate with my hair while this product was in it. Left my hair looking like a hot mess. Would not recommend.

It works very well on my hair. I put it in after my shower and once I am dressed and ready to go when I blowave and straighten my hair it looks amazing. Still a few fly aways but it’s way better than anything I have used prior
Tips: Do not put it in your hair if you are not going to blow wave it
Man this stuff is awful, I was so excited to use it and what a big let down. I followed the instructions and all I was left with was a thick oily looking head of hair, it looked weighed down and felt terrible when I ran my fingers through it. I couldn't wait to wash it out! Expected much better from a tresemme product! Don't waste your money!
I saw this at Farmers and had heard mixed reviews on it, I haven't been using heat tools on my hair for sometime so thought it might be nice to have a product that could smooth out my hair through 4 washes.
The packaging is really nice a red pump bottle with a silver and black top one of those turn to the left to open and back to the right to lock.
I followed the instructions and washed my hair (I use an all natural solid shampoo bar), towel dried and applied 8 pumps (it sais 8-10 but 10 felt like a lot) from the top of my head to the tips (excluding the roots) I loved the smell its actually really strong but it reminds me of the hairdresser after they have washed your hair.
The consistency was smooth and creamy and didn't feel heavy it applied through my hair easily and I brushed it through with my tangle teaser.
I then blowdried my hair I was a bit scared then as my hair triple in volume and looked anything but smooth !
I then took my GHD's and sectioned my hair off and straightened each section 4 times (seems like a lot but I figured you wouldn't need to do it again for a week so that's ok). Once my hair was completed I was in love! I have fine sometimes fluffy long hair and this mad my hair sleek shiny and felt thicker somehow I absolutely loved it. But then I slept on it, by morning it did not look the same, it was still a little smoother and less fluffy then it normally would be so I was pleased at this point. But then its first wash, when I got out my hair felt terrible heavy, oily like their is product buildup in my hair it dried the same to.
Now i'm trying to wash this stuff out of my hair and get back to normal again.
I had high hope and it seemed promising at first but I think i'm just going to throw this out it made my hair feel terrible
Lets start with the packaging. The bottle is quite salon-product-looking and the pump dispenses just the right amount of product without taking ages to get started.
This is where I found the pros stopped. While the smell was neither pleasant nor unpleasant, the feeling it left in my hair was horrid. Even when dried it felt oily and looked so dull. Instead of my hair being soft, shiny and smooth it looked like it was oiled down. Even copious amounts of brushing didn't fix it properly.
It claims to leave hair straight/smooth for up to a week or 3 washes. Even though I used it with the accompanying shampoo and conditioner it only took one wash to go back to thick frizzy hair. That first wash was much needed to get rid of the oily look it had left.
I've used about half the bottle but don't know if I can bring myself to finish it, and definitely won't be repurchasing.
I was so disappointed in this product as it advertised it would leave you hair straight for a week. I found that using this product did not do that at all. I followed the instructions as stated on the bottle and after straightening my hair with this product in it felt heavy and I felt as though I couldn't run my hands through my hair nicely. It didn't leave my hair less frizzy at all and I wouldn't buy this product again
Like everyone else I think, I thought this product was going to help keep my hair straight for a week. I bought the complete set, shampoo, condition and serum. The shampoo and conditioner are nice but nothing to rave above (I prefer a thick conditioner). The serum pumps easily out of the bottle and is nice and thick so not running all over the place while you try to get it in your hair. I have very thick hair and found that it seemed to dry a lot quicker with the blow dryer than it normally would. After straightening, I found my hair to feel very thick and heavy with product. The first wash (after 3 days), my hair returned to its normal state, so I was pretty disappointed considering the length of time it took to straighten it. I wasn't expecting it to stay exactly the same, but I had been hoping that maybe a quick blow-dry and a touch up with the straighteners would have been a great result. Not to be. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, you can get the same if not better results with any other heat styling treatment. I feel that they have played up on the 'straightening effect' rather than the smoothing as it there seems to be quite a bit of confusion in the marketplace about what this product is actually meant to do.
Tips: Save your money
I'm sorry but this product just makes my hair feel revolting. This is a styling crème and as it is very concentrated make sure you only use the bare minimum. I have really thick hair and even two small pumps which was sufficient left a horrible film on my hair. Once straightened it did look less matte finish but it felt tacky all day and it seemed to aid my frizziness if anything as it attracted moisture from the air humidity and it just felt lank and greasy all day. This is one of those use it once and give it away products for me. I just wanted to re-wash right after using this so it is a completely redundant product for me. On the positive side, the pearly red bottle is very nice to look at and the product itself smells lovely.
I was surprised to read the two reviews below where the TRESemme Keratin Heat Activated Treatment had disappointed people, because I love it!
The product retails for a decent price, and comes in a sleek red pump-action container that wouldn't last long if you used the recommended 8 pumps per application. 8? No. I use 2 pumps of this thick white lotion on my hair, which is mid-back length, fine, and dry/damaged. There is a slight 'shampoo/conditioner' scent to this - barely noticeable, dries off, and is pleasant enough.
Those two pumps turn my hair from straight-outta-the-shower-messy to smooth, tangle free and feeling good even before I turn on the dryer.
I just got the VS bells and whistles flash dryer to try, but used my standard one for a week before that and both yielded good results.
When you dry your hair with this product in it your hair feels a little thicker - and looks a lot shinier and healthier. Even better, it feels AMAZING. I (vainly!) can't keep my own hands out of my hair at the moment. Straightening it improves it even further. The straightener seems to lock in more gloss and moisture, resulting in better hair.
This isn't a straightening aid, or something to hasten drying, but it's still worth trying.
Does this smooth hair? YES. Does this give hair shine? YES Does this help with heat styling? YES Is frizz noticeably lessened? YES
This product is all over TV at the moment, and I got sucked in - boy am I glad I did :) I have no idea if results last 7 days because I'm using it daily at the moment (in love so probably overdoing it haha) but as my hair improves I'll start leaving it a day or two between uses and update this review
Tips: Don't use 8 pumps. Try one at a time until you get to the right amount. If I need two, chances are you will*not* need 8!
I had high hopes for this. Affordable, I was a little hopeful ot would deliver. Sadly it wasn't worth the cost. Thick and messy.
