I purchased the shampoo from the supermarket when I was looking specifically for a clarifying shampoo. I remember a BR article saying that it was good to use a clarifying shampoo before dying your hair so I thought I'd give it a try and see if it made a difference.
It comes in a big black bottle. I love pump bottles so I have always wanted tresemme to change their bottle to a pump but sadly that had not happened. The sent is lovely as always and the consistency is semi thick.
I washed my hair 3 different times with the shampoo before I dyed my hair. It's lathers up and washes out really easily. I feel that it definitely clarified like it stated it would. My hair felt a lot cleaner as the build-up of previous products was gone.
I would highly recommend this brand as I always have. I also feel that my hair colour has lasted a lot longer this time around so I will continue to use clarifying shampoos.
I do love Tresemme for the volume you get for the price you pay, it lasts such a long time. When I needed to get a new bottle recently they were out of the variety I normally buy so opted for this remoisturize version as I have coarse, thick, dry hair the word gave me the impression of smooth, well hydrated hair at the end.
I was disappointed however, even though whilst washing it did feel dry and rather straw like, this is common for my hair type and thought nothing of it and continued on with conditioning as normal. Once my hair was dry it felt really brittle and I don't use any heat to dry, opting to naturally air dry so it could only be the shampoo that had left my hair feeling that way. I gave it another shot as I had not had the time to go and repurchase another bottle and again it felt odd. Brittle, my curls went flat and it just felt heavy and not very nicely put together.
Resorted to using it on my dogs as shampoo and grabbing a bottle of my regular shampoo when I was able to get to my normal shopping location.
