Nowadays, my go to 'fix it' is rosehip oil - but for a long time before that I'd turn to Trilogy Everything Balm. Now that I'm actually sitting down to review it, I'm thinking I need to repurchase!
Rosehip oil is actually an ingredient in this versatile, pleasantly scented product. You scoop out the desired amount, and liquify it by warming it in your hands. It can then be applied as a lipgloss, moisturiser, on scars etc etc. I found it great on those little scratches, scars, bug bites etc.
Although there is a pricetag for this that looks pricey, it's actually one of those 'a little goes a long way' deals, so even the smaller size will allow you a lot of use.
The pottle itself is a handy little screwtop that is lightweight and manages to look classy even though it's essentially a plastic tub. Trilogy are great for understated packaging without garish colours or OTT imagery and this is no exception.
The cream can be a little greasy on application, but absorbs readily enough and is therefore not 'too greasy' - it's a very light residue.
I got this after reading that huge amount of gushy reviews about it here. I have mainly been using it on my feet which are such a pain to keep hydrated and other bits like my elbows and bits that need a bit more than your average moisturiser. The balm is lovely and a little does go a long way but I do tend to use more than I need to but it's not hurting anyone. My elbows and a weird dry spot I had on my arm are doing way better and are softer and nicer to touch. This really is a bit of a holy grail for my feet. They are impossible and I have to deal to them every week or two. Using Trilogy Everything Balm on them has made them stay in much better shape between home pedi's and they are nowhere near as dry and yuck. I also had a strange spotty rash show up on my thighs which was there for a few days until I put this on it. I put the balm on one night at bedtime and when I got up in the morning it was gone. The scent of this is okay I'm not really very fussed on it. It's very heavy in essential oils so might not be great for people sensitive to them. It does of course have an oily texture to it but it soaks into my skin incredibly well and you don't end up leaving oily smudge marks everywhere. I do dig this out with the tip of a nail file because I find it difficult to get out. It would be great if it came with a little spatula like the mineral radiance mask does but that's my only gripe. I will certainly be keeping a pot of this around in the future it's a very handy little find.
