Having sensitive skin is like having young children - the way it behaved yesterday is often no way related to how it will be today! My bathroom cupboard is witness to a fair line-up of partially used tubes and bottles, that haven’t proved suitable. So, I was eagerly anticipating trialling the Trilogy range for sensitive skin, while prepared for more of the same.
I’ve used the range for almost 3 weeks now – I am very pleased to say that I have finally found one that has made the grade! Six products that work very well together, and will oust many of the other residents in my cabinet. Thanks BR for the opportunity to try this lovely NZ range.
The packaging for the whole range is quality amber coloured glass jars/ bottles within a smart recyclable packaging. Certified natural, they are unfragranced, (but you can smell some of the oils in there) and have all sorts of goodies including antioxidants, soothers & ingredients that support your skin and calm it down. Note that the range does not have any SPF in it, so you’ll need to get your protection from another product. This may be a good thing as I’ve found many skin products with added SPF cause problems with my sensitive skin.
The products range between RRP $43.99-52.99, so not cheap – I read it described somewhere as “an investment”. However, these products really do work together beautifully with sensitive skin. My favourites were the cleanser, moisturiser and eye cream. The serum and the hydra-mask followed, then the oil. It’s hard to tell whether you could get as good a result without using the whole lot together. I estimate that there’s probably around 4 -6 months supply in each product, judging by my current use. (More for the hydra-mask as I’ve been using 1-2 times per week.). I have individually reviewed the 6 products in more detail if you want to check them out.
Overall, I have enjoyed trialling this range, and it came at the right time for me - I had the flu, in the middle of winter, and my skin was really dry, chapped, flushed, and awful looking. My skin reacts badly to some products with harsh ingredients, and I'm prone to redness and dry spots. This range has definitely healed my skin from the winter-flu-ravages, and left it in better condition. I have been really impressed at the calming properties of the serum and oil - it instantly calms my skin down when flushed from red wine or disagreeable products. I will be absolutely buying those again. However, I won't be buying the the moisturizing cream - it's too thick and heavy, and doesn't absorb adequately. It may be good for extremely dry skin however. The eye cream was average - not long-lasting enough for me, and the cleanser fine for the mornings, but not great at removing end-of-the-day product. I do love this brand, and have been overall impressed with how gentle yet effective the range is. Please see my reviews for each individual product if interested.
