I’ll be honest, the thought of using so many products from one range and using them religiously freaked me out a bit as I’m used to using a couple of products and usually from different brands.
Packaging- I love the colours they have used, simple yet sophisticated. This tells me that the quality of the product has not been compromised by having over the top packaging. Each product came in its own box and had its own unique pump, jar or dropper which was in line with how the product needed to be applied. I loved how they supplied you with little black spatulas so you didn’t have to put your fingers in the jars, great for keeping hygienic.
Directions – What I found useful was that each box had the directions stated on them but also had the directions on each product itself which is helpful if you are like me and sometimes throw out the instructions by mistake. They were easy to use instructions, nothing fancy, just straight to the point, advising you which other product to use next or before. I would have liked to have seen a Step By Step instruction though, i.e. which product to use first, next etc.
Fragrance – The one thing I react with having sensitive skin is fragrance so I was a bit anxious about how the fragrance would react with my skin. I didn’t need to worry though as there wasn’t any distinctive scent, no perfumes or talc’s present, just natural smelling scents. I didn’t have any reaction to any of these products which is a huge bonus for me.
Use of Products – Morning: I started with the Creamy Cleanser, which was lovely and creamy. then the Calming Serum (which is more a cream serum than an oil one) then followed by the Moisturising Cream (which is quite thick and heavy). Evening – I used the Creamy Cleanser again, but this time I applied the Restoring Oil (not a thick oil but not watery either) which was followed by the Moisturising Cream for extra hydration. I applied a tiny dab of the Eye Cream (a nice creamy consistency not too thick or thin) under each eye using my pinky finger, careful to avoid getting it too close to my eyes. I used the Hydro-Mask (a lovely thick and hydrating mask, smells really nice) a couple of times each week.
Overall Thoughts and Results – I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed applying all these products. Usually I would find it way too much to do every day morning and night, but my skin looks clearer, more firm and toned and hardly any blemishes at all. So a good improvement to how it was when I first started. I will be reviewing each individual product in the range for a more detailed review in a few more days once I've really given them the full trial possible. Sadly these products do not contain SPF so you will need to add this in.
The products will last quite a long time as they are all generous sizes. And for the length of time using them, the price is actually quite reasonable. I’m excited to keep using these to see what other results I will see.
First of all i would like to thank the BR team for the opportunity to trial this range. I think we all know that Trilogy is a quality brand. This is evident in all the products and is also true of this range. All of the products contain macqui berry and all except the Facial oil contain Syricalm (see above info), and they all come in gorgeous brown frosted glass bottles or pots. The products that come in pots also come with little spatulas for hygienic removal. First the Very Gentle Cleansing Cream. This comes in a generously sized 200ml pump bottle and also contains camellia. White in colour and unscented, this beautiful cream cleansed my makeup off really well. Next was the Very Gentle Calming Serum. This also contains Calendula and is designed to be used after cleansing, before moisturising and/or during flare ups. In a 30ml bottle that comes with a pump, thin in consistency and unscented, this delivers a calming little moisture surge. The Very Gentle Eye Cream comes in 25ml pot and has Aloe Vera. A really pale yellow colour, i found that this caused my eyes to sting by the afternoons. I'm not sure if this was because it is quite oily or maybe i applied too much. Because of this issue, I use this at night. The Very Gentle Moisturising Cream has calendula and comes in a 60ml pot. White in colour, this is a beautiful moisturising cream that leaves my skin feeling soft and calm. I use this in the morning after applying the serum. My favourite product in the range would have to be the Very Gentle Restoring Oil. Golden coloured and smelling slightly of sesame oil(?), this contains apricot kernel oil and sea buckthorn oil. I know that these oils are really good after sun exposure, so i use three drops at night after serum application. Three drops is enough to cover my face, neck and decolletage. 30ml bottle that comes with a dropper. Lastly there is the Very Gentle Hydra-Mask. In a 60 ml pot and containing sweet almond oil, this is a lemon coloured pot of moisture. This product left my skin feeling ultra hdrated. While none of these products are particularly anti ageing, they will leave sensitive skin super plump with moisture. Like really, really hydrated. And to me, this helps to keep the wrinkles at bay. My skin was left calm and apart from the stinging eyes, no irritation.
Tips: Rub any of the leftover products into the back of your hands to deliver a little boost of goodies to the skin there.
