Thanks to that BRBB I fell in love with trilogy! I'm addicted! I've brought just about everything trilogy now I think!
As I normally have dry sensitive skin, this sounded perfect for me. Especially as winter was approaching. I love the packaging. It fits in so well with all the other items perfectly. I love even more how the lid is at the bottom so the cream can come down and it will be easy to use it all up.
The cream it self, it's thick! It comes out like toothpaste. I apply to the back of my hand and then use the other hand to gently rub it to soften it up. This happens immediately. I always apply this at night over day time use. I find as its rich and luxurious, it feels amazing leaving it soak in over night. My skin feels lovely in the morning. If I'm not wearing makeup this is good then. I personally find it makes makeup sort of glow. Not leak oil, sort of shiny and I need to apply a finishing powder. I have a different brand I love under makeup more.
Its fragrance is fresh, it wraps you in a blanket of pampering. I highly recommend it.
Well it certainly delivers on the richness and hydration. It's a HEAVY moisturiser not for the faint hearted. I think it is important to keep in mind that it's a cream not a lotion so by definition it's heavier and thicker than what I'm used to, but initially it did take me aback slightly.
It is super hydrating which is great for my dry bits. However, I am cursed with combination skin and I don't feel this product is suited to me because of this. It's simply too much for my oily areas and I've had a few breakouts while using it. I also think that maybe, although I am starting to show my age a tad, this product is a little "old" for me in my late 20s.
My favourite thing about this product is the divine smell. It's seriously yummy. Being a Trilogy product, it utilises natural ingredients, is animal friendly and a local company, yay!
I think I would consider repurchasing in a few years time were it not for one cardinal sin, the lack of SPF. I'm a huge fan of SPF and it's the first thing I look for in my day cream. I've been using this as a night cream but I think I prefer to use a dedicated night product if I'm going to use solely at night.
