Trilogy Very Gentle Restoring Oil Review

I love a good serum, and this one is now right up there with my top favourites!! Its delicious - from the gorgeous packaging to the amazing quality of the oil...I feel so grateful to be reviewing this lovely oil! My skin is quite dry and gets irritated under stress or due to the weather. Some serums cause my skin to break out but the consistency of the product helped hydrate and nourish my skin and helped soothe any irritation. I use the serum under my moisturiser at night and under the mask, once a week. I honestly feel like my skin looks the best has in ages and my make up sits better on top of it.

I am so glad I got to trial this - it is now a new favourite (along with the Trilogy Sensitive serum). This is the first facial oil I have used that actually absorbs rapidly without leaving a greasy layer that makes my fringe oily! But that is not the only reason I love it: it's super gentle, leaving no irritation, and is calming for flushed, irritated skin, while really restoring winter-ravaged skin. The morning after using it my skin is lovely and soft and supple, and I have had no break outs with it. You only need a few drops to get maximum results - I can't recommend it enough!

This little bottle of golden goodness is my favourite of the Sensitive range. Smelling ever so slightly of sesame oil, it also contains macqui berry, apricot (kernel?) oil and sea buckthorn oil. These last two ingredients are great after sun exposure. I use this product after a serum at night to help counteract any weather related effects on my skin. In a beautiful frosted brown bottle with a dropper, you only need about three drops to provide good coverage over your face, neck and decolletage.

I'm a religious Skinfood Coc+Nut oil user but was keen to give this a go. I'm glad I did. This oil is thicker and has an odder smell than I am used to. It was a little off-putting but I persevered. Again, I'm glad I did.

Despite the thickness it was rapidly absorbed by skin and felt light on my face. The smell didn't last for too long, and while I still prefer the Skinfood oil smell, the extra 'goodness' in the Trilogy oil will see me make the switch.

I also used this the way I do the Skinfood oil - multi-tasking and using it as cuticle oil, dry skin oil like on elbows and knees, and even mixed a little into my moisturising cream to save time. It is simple, effective, and as versatile as other beauty oils.

As Ive said with the whole range the packaging is top notch, and this with the eye dropper makes it so easy and stress free to use. The product doesn't come flying out of the dropper so it is easy to monitor how much product I am using. This soaks into my skin really fast, and is a perfect base for the rest of the products in the range. I love love love that it helps keep those fine lines at bay and protect my skin through the day, I have definitely been enjoying dewy glowy skin and I think this magical oil played a good role in that!!!!! I felt like this really delivered, and is a welcomed step in my routine every morning.

OMG I love this oil. I have used Rosehip and Argan oils in the past and although I like them, I didn't care for the scent. This oil is fragrance free and absorbs very quickly into the skin leaving it soft and smooth. I have 43 year old, very oily skin so am always careful about what extra hydration I add into my skincare regime. This oil will definitely be on my re-purchase list. The packaging of the whole range is lovely. This particular product comes in a brown frosted bottle with eye dropper applicator making it very easy to get just the right amount of product. I find it to be very soothing and hydrating and my skin is looking great!

I've tried the Very Gentle Restoring Oil as part of the Trilogy Sensitive Range review. All the products are amazing. I've never tried an oil before and I was a bit apprehensive with using it as I thought it would make my skin oily. Wrong! I used this in the morning after cleansing and used a few drops to massage into my face. It has a slight nutty fragrance. The oil absorbed quickly into my skin leaving it feeling really supple. Then I used the moisturiser. I think that the oil helps to keep my skin moisturised all day long. It is so gentle, I've even used it over my eyes. My sensitive skin has had no adverse effects. I would definitely try this product again

Lovely presentation. Has a dropper to measure out your drops. Have never used a product like this and was pleasantly surprised. I find 2 drops is enough to massage into my entire face and neck. A little goes a long way. Afterwards skin feels soft and smooth. I personally would only use this once a week as a treat due to the cost involved $43.99. Think I would prefer a plastic bottle than glass.

I love organic natural oils. I have always religiously switched between rosehip oil and chia seed oil. I really like this restoring oil. It contains maqui berry, apricot and sea buckthorn. It is very gentle on my skin, its thick but very blendable. A small amount goes a long way. I like the glass bottle and the eye dropper makes it easy to control the amount of oil you would like.

I have used this for the past 3 weeks and my skin has been so healthy, soft and smooth and fine lines and wrinkles seem to be improving. I really like using this restoration oil in the evening and when I wake up in the morning my face is so soft. There are so many great benefits of this oil and I will be repurchasing when I run out.

It retails for $43.99 for 30mls. A little goes a long way and I believe it will last for quite a while.
