The Trilogy polishing powder is amazing. I find it gives my skin a beautiful glow. It is a soft skin polisher and because you add water to it you decide how milky or abrasive you would like it. This is a bonus as I use a more milky texture in the morning and a more exfoliant texture in the evening. It has a citrus kind of smell which I don’t mind. I use this twice a day and enjoy the afterglow.

Tips: Use less water for a more exfoliant texture.
First up, I love Trilogy products, lots of them have been my favourite products of their type. I was keen to try this as I had no idea what a vitamin c polishing powder might do, but I assumed it would be like a mild exfoliant, orange, and with a citrus smell.Wrong, wrong, and wrong.
The product comes in a large sort-of pot with a big twist top, and with a perforated top to shake the product out. It doesn't take much shaking and the product ends up on the floor. The product itself is powdery, as the name suggests.
So I mix it in my palm with water as directed. It does create a milk/paste, depending how much you use, and is more paste-y if you use more than the 1/2 teasp recommended (like I did the first time). I rub it into my skin and at first didn't think it did much. It wasn't a bit gritty as I thought it might be. But when I wash it off, my skin is really clean underneath and it does most definitely smooth and even out my complexion, and tighten it a little.
So overall I like it a lot, but it's a bit pricey. Healthpost have it for $36, and other places have it slightly cheaper, or largely more expensive. That is enough to put me off, as it isn't a product that's critical to my collection, as an eyeliner or facial oil would be. But I recommend trying it to people who place a huge emphasis on these types of products. Oh, and the powder is white and no citrus scent- no scent at all in fact. That shouldn't be a dealbreaker though, in an otherwise very good product.
i bought this as it was "new" and i like new. and also it was a spend x amount and get a free booster serum. so y'know! had to have it.
the lid pops off and you twist the inner lid, much like a talcum powder bottle. a few tap tap taps on the bottle (upside down) lets the powder fall out onto your hand.
it says it is an exfoliant, and i was expecting more.. gritty haha. i know thats silly but i was. instead its just like mixing a bit o cornflower with water, it dissolves super fast and is just meh. rubbed on the face it feels like nothing. once rinsed off it made my face feel a bit weird (squeaky, tight) but not too bad.
it does not foam whatsoever, it does not do any buffing, my face is not smoother but it does look a smidge nicer. i really, truly wanted to like it. but i cant. i'll use it up but i certainly won't be repurchasing it.
I am a big trilogy fan and I also love vitamin c products so was excited to give it a try. Sadly, I didn't love it. Personally I'd call this a gentle cleansing milk rather than an exfoliant as I felt that it just wasn't gritty enough to do a proper job of exfoliating and yes my skin felt squeaky clean afterwards, but I didn't get that "freshly exfoliated" feeling. In saying that, I'm a once a week exfoliator so I like something a bit gruntier, but for those that exfoliate once a day, maybe this would be ideal. The other downside was that I like to keep my exfoliating products in the shower where I do the job, and the moisture meant that the product got a bit clogged up where it pours out.
Bought some in the Vault and whilst waiting visited my friend this weekend who got hers in the Beauty Box. Nice small contained and the lid is nice and tight. Once I put some product in ny hands I first thought on no this is lile talcum powder and how is this going to make my skin like it describes. Nevertheless put some in my hand mixed it with some warm water and put it on my face and OH MY what a result. My skin is softer, smoother and brighter, younger and could definitely see a HUGE result in my uneven skin tone. Have some scarring and uneveness under my chin area and although I would have to use this a couple of times could definitely see a difference though after using it twice. Might just not want to describe the product as foaming as it does not foam at all but is more of a milky look when mixed. Would definitely buy this product again and try some of their other products too in the Trilogy range.
Tips: Makes a bit of a mess would say to have wet hands first and then put the product in your hands to mix and not the other wat around.
