I’m a sucker for cream shadows, they feel velvety and divine and I like how they just glide right on. I prefer them to other powdery shadows as you don’t get powder all over the place and there is less mess. I have a pale pink colour and it blemds well with my skin and has a subtle but beautiful effect on my eyes. As always with Bobbi Brown, they do make-up so well, and this cream shadow is no exception. It takes no time at all to set, so I don’t muck around when applying it and call me lazy, but I just use my index finger to apply it. I find the results really lovely and clean - no smears or smudges at all. Easy to apply and it suits my skin colouring and blends in well for a sheer effect.

Tips: i just use my index finger to apply it.
The Bobbi Brown Cream Eyeshadow is my favourite cream shadow. This is the only eye shadow that does not crease or smudge and lasts all day on my oily eyelids.
This eyeshadow is my go to if I plan on going out all night or a special occasion because I know I can rely on it's long lasting power and that it will not smudge or crease in a few hours! I use it on it's own for a day look and layer powder shadow on top if I want a softer look.
The cream shadow glides on easily and smoothly, but you have to work pretty quickly as it only takes a few seconds to set.
I like using my figures to apply the cream shadow on my eyelids as it's a lot smoother and easier to glide it on for a sheer look.
If I want more intense colour, I like to use the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Brush. I would first use my fingers to do a sheer layer first to cover the whole lid then I would dab a little of the shadow with my Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Brush and work in quick short strokes to areas I want to intensify the colour and build it up.
Tips: The little pot lasts a while if you make sure you close the lid tightly after you are finished with it. Never leave the lid open if you don't want it to dry out!
Has a great colour selection, does not crease. Beautiful on their own or as a base under shadow. The only downside is the price of course, as cream eye shadows eventually dry out.
These have to be the longest wearing cream shadows on the planet. The also have great pigment and are waterproof! Great for people with oily eyelids and fantastic as a base under powder shadows. They do take a bit of getting used to as due to as the play time is very short but once you have mastered the right technique you will be impressed.
Tips: Smooth on with your finger and then build up on top with a synthetic brush.
This is my daily and special occasion wear go-to. I use it as a base and then apply the gel eyeliner on top. I also use it as a base for powder shadow. Overall I really like it although I do find it can tend to smudge by the end of the day.
Tips: Apply with a eyeshadow brush and blend well
I purchased this rather hesitantly as I have never had much luck with cream shadows, however the lovely guy at The bobbi brown counter made it look amazing. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this actually was. It went on smoothly and stayed on all day. It didnt feel heavy or flake at all which was a problem i had with a lot of other cream eyeshadows. I used a bullet brush to apply the shadow but i feel like i got a better and smoother application by using my finger. I think it may be that when using your finger you warm the product up a wee bit. i would 100% recommend people to try this product
Tips: start with a light coverage and then build it up
As far as cream eye shadows go I truly believe these are the best. The are very pigmented, not slimy and seem to last very well.. No creasing too! I find them pretty blend-able too when you have the right tools! The reason for the rating is.. No matter how great of quality this product is.. I just don't like cream eye shadow. If you are a fan of cream eye shadows however.. You will no doubt think this product is the bees knees if you do like them! I have color bittersweet which is a dark near matte brown and golden pink.. Golden pink is a gorgeous shimmery pink with a golden hue. This is pretty to use as a highlighting color on the inner eye.
Tips: Make sure you have the right tools to blend these eye shadows, they have the ability to be fantastic providing you do!
A friend gave me a pot of the bronze brown one. It didn’t irritate my contact lenses wearing eyes. As far as I could tell there wasn’t any perfume on it. The shadow glides easily and smoothly with great colour pay off. I personally found it easier to apply using fingers than brush. To my disappointment it did crease on my eyelid after a few hours. I’ve tried using it with and without primer, didn’t seem to make any difference to the creasing. I do have oily eyelids so perhaps the formula didn’t suit my skin. I’ve used drugstore brand cream eyeshadows that worked better, with much cheaper price point. I ended up using it more as an eyeliner.
Tips: More suitable for people with dry eyelids.
