I feel in love with the packaging and the lovely shiny stand around it as it was new and on show. And I fell for a lovely coral/orange colour which was really 50's.
I have been so disappointed though with the performance of this lipstick - it's the worst in my make up bag. The lipstick glides on but it doesn't stay on. It falls into any cracks in my lips but then sort of separates and slides off within about minutes which just leaves a kids of patchy look which last about 30 minutes overall. The lady in the shop had told me it wasn't long-wearing and that it was medium wearing instead but to me 30 minutes of patchy coverage is just isn't enough and the fact it parts and goes patchy just isn't a good look even for that 30 minutes.
The colour is beautiful but I've just stuck this in the bottom of my make up drawer as it's pretty unusable. I should really chuck it but it was so expensive I can't bear to.
I had high hopes for the Luxe Lip Colour range but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations.
Packaging is modern and sleek. Has a satin finish that is still quite hydrating and doesn't feel dry on the lips. The formula claims to resist fading and smudging and while it did last longer than some other cream products I still found it had general wear and tear quite quickly after having a drink a few times more than a lot of my other lip products that are more affordable. It also claimed that you would notice improved lip conditions after a week but I honestly didn't notice any change to my natural lip condition. Will continue to wear for short events or on top of longwear products so I don't waste it but won't repurchase in future.
The range does have some beautiful shades though, Pale Mauve and Afternoon Tea were the first to catch my eye.
