I purchased a mini size of this mascara about a month ago. Up until using this, I'd been quite content with using my maybelline and cover girl ones, spending a large amount on one just seemed pointless to me. That is until the first time i used this mascara anyway.
When you open this up, the wand really doesn't look like anything special, it just looks like a basic brush. The formula is at the perfect consistency, not too wet but not thick and gluggy. I find some cheaper mascaras need a mandatory drying out period to get them at the right stage for using so it was nice to see this was already perfect. This brush and formula somehow magically combine to give my lashes great length and great volume while still keeping the lashes separate. I like to do 2 or 3 coats on my stumpy lashes and it just does wonders.
I actually have my previous favorite mascara open which is the falsies mascara by maybelline. Bobbi brown kicks it's butt though, and I don't like how my lashes look when I use the falsies Now!
Sometimes you can get great lashes at the start but by the end of the day they don't look so good. Nope, not with Bobbi. They look perfect the whole day and I get no flaking under my eyes. Also to make it even better, this mascara comes off easily at Night! I just use my Garnier miceller water.
I love this mascara and will be so sad when it's all gone. The cost puts me off slightly but I know I'll buy the full size at some stage. The price is the only thing that would put me off slightly recommending it , but I do think it's worth it. The only bad side would be that it will put you off the cheaper Mascaras!
This mascara comes in a plain silver tube, and has a very standard bristle brush. The brush seems a little bigger, which makes it a bit hard to get to the inner corners and my lower lashes without accidentally getting it on the skin around my eyes. The consistency is right in the middle, and doesdn't clump when applying. I like to comb it out with a clean mascara wand after application so it looks a little more natural and lets me build up the coats better without the fat clumpy look. Two coats gives a decent volume but not that much more length. I've very straight lashes, so I curl with an eyelash curler before and after applying mascara. If I didn't curl afterwards, this mascara would make my precurled lashes straight again. In terms of application and packaging this mascara's been nothing special, but wait! Have you ever had a one hour cardio workout with mascara on? I have. And guess what, this didn't run/flake/smudge at all. If that doesn't impress you I don't know what will. This can last a whole day and have 0 flaking, better than any other mascara I've tried. This one is my new favourite for a night out or when I need my mascara to be 120% waterproof. If I was the designer for the tube, I'd slap a giant EVERYTHINGPROOF label on it. Despite how well it stays, it is surprisingly easy to remove. A cotton pad soaked in eyemakeup remover held on my eyes for a while plus a few rubs and it's all gone.
Overall not the most stellar mascara I've used, but its redeeming feature is its staying power. This would be most suitable for people with naturally curly lashes looking for something that stays on all day/night.
