This product was recommended to me as a 'beginner' eye cream. I was around 25 when I started using it. In the winter it wasn't enough moisture and I ended up with my eyes red raw (not because of this eye cream just the seasonal changes). This didn't help that (but I found another Clarins product that did!).
This is a great relaxing eye gel. I didn't notice any huge difference or results. It just freshens up the area and it's nice and lightweight. I love the cooling sensation as you gently pat it onto the eye area. I didn't notice any difference in my dark circles and since I don't have puffiness I can't comment on that aspect. However it's a nice product, it will last you ages as well.
This was my first ever skincare product for the eye area. It is recommended to start using an eye cream when you are 16-18 to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles in later life, and at 19 the Clarins Eye Contour Gel sounded like a great option for me. I wanted something that would calm and hydrate the area, but I didn't have any major concerns regarding dark circles or puffiness. I also wanted something lightweight as using an eye cream that is too intensive can lead to puffiness. This product is recommended for dark circles and puffiness and other than providing hydration it has no anti-aging features so is perfect for the under 30 age bracket.
The Clarins Eye Contour Gel is $64 for what I consider to be a decent sized tube for a high end eye product. The formula spreads very easily over the skin so only a small amount is needed. This tube lasted forever, and it wasn't finished before I moved onto another product. The formula itself is fresh and cooling, with no scent and no irritation to the eye area. Because it is so lightweight it can be used both day and night. I personally didn't notice any difference in dark circles or puffiness, but I am glad that I started using an eye cream at a young age.
Tips: Pat rather than rub this product on the under eye area, and put any excess product onto the upper lip area.
