Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Review

Recently I wanted to purchase this favourite product again in New Zealand - but it is no longer supplied to our market. It was the most perfect combination of shades and luxury to put into a handbag while out or travelling. The little gold case came with a red velvet pouch. The colour combinations were absolutely perfectly aligned and I googled and noticed it is still getting Youtube reviews in 2023 in Europe/UK - by young professional beauty channels as well as mature ladies. Please bring it back Clarins! Recently I bought one of the new circular rebranded shadow combinations - but couldn't get this perfect colour scheme. Still, the purples and pinks were a good combo for blue eye 'pop' but this one is sadly missed and the new brown combo doesn't work for my complexion and eyes.

This is the most beautiful piece of makeup that I own (and I own a fair bit!). It comes inside of the classic red velvet Clarins pouch- awesome at keeping the scratches at bay. The compact is reflective gold with a absolutely beautiful pattern on top. Odyssey has a light taupe shade (I use this all over the lid), a darker taupe crease shade, a deep chocolate brown and a fabulous foiled gold. I used the darkest shade as an eyeliner and for the outer v of the eye and I used the gold foiled shade on the mobile lid. The colours blend like a dream and are beautiful and buttery soft, so well pigmented. I found the foiled shade worked best applied with a finger rather than a brush (as a brush just picked up the glitter and none of the colour). This palette worked beautifully with my brown eyes making them look quite smouldering. I am absolutely in love with this eyeshadow quad and can see why they are so pricy! As money allows I would definitely repurchase other shades.
