So when Clarins recently had a GWP when you bought two products I was after a new concealer. I actually wanted the Instant Concealer in the wee tube but they didn't have a tester of it in my shade so I thought I would give it a miss. I asked the Clarins lady at Farmers what she would recommend for an under-eye concealer and this is what she pointed out to me.
It is very similar to the YSL Touche Eclat in packaging. A gold long tube with a lid and one end and a twisty bit at the other. Once you remove the well secured lid there is a wee brush. Make sure when you use this the first time not to twist too much or you will end up with product everywhere! And you don't want to waste a drop of this as it is reasonably expensive. I got the lightest shade in this which is 00.
So first few times I tried this I used the brush as the applicator onto my under-eye area. In the end I found this put far too much product down (meaning creasing), and also meant there it was quite streaky from using the brush. A lot of people don't like these brush on applicators as they find them unhygienic. Personally I don't mind them, especially with a product like this where it is applied under the eye not on pimples. Eventually I caught on to applying a wee bit of this onto my finger then blending under the eyes. It is quite a thin product but does really brighten the area nicely. It does layer nicely but you have to wait for each layer to dry then put another on which is a pain. But I find with this technique it looks really natural and doesn't crease at all. For me it is just a wee bit too fussy though, especially in the morning when all I want to do is slap it on and dash. It wasn't really what I was after in a product when I asked the Clarins lady for help as it is more of a brightener than a concealer. It is a nice product though but not one I feel like I need in my regular beauty arsenal. Could be good for those that don't have too much to hide in the under-eye area who just want to highlight.
