Clarins Lip Perfector Review

I bought this product after reading/watching so many rave reviews from one of my favourite YouTubers Viviannadoesmakeup. I picked the shade -05 which is a nice light peachy-ish pink. Lucky for me this turned out to be one of my favourite lip products.

The packaging for this is extremely practical. A long tube in the shade of the lip product with a gold lid. The lid screws on quite tight which is good. The applicator is a spongey one that you squeeze the tube and the product comes through. It makes it easy to apply and feels nice on the lips.

I love the shade on my lips, this is my 'my lips but better' shade. It isn't quite opaque but just leaves a nice finish. It is extremely moisturising as well which is fantastic, does the job of two things in one. This is somehow quite glossy but not sticky at all which is great. For me this is the shade that I need to have in my handbag at all times as it can pull any look together. The lasting power on this isn't too bad, it doesn't last forever through eating drinking. As it is a gloss I don't expect to much out of it as far as staying power goes.

I don't get back ups of products (I hate clutter) but if I did this would be the product.

This is the most beautiful gloss I have ever brought I have this in shade 06 rosewood shimmer it is a slightly brown colour it is a very light brown very natural looking.

The tube is a soft plastic tube with like a sponge on top, so you lightly squeeze the tube and the gloss comes through the sponge and then apply. It is easy to apply and it glides on easily it's not sticky nor gluggy which makes you want to just keep applying it because it feels so nice on your lips. I find it very moisturising as well when it's on my lips they feel soft and afterwards when it's come off it they still feel soft. I find it has a very sweet scent to it almost a bit like chocolate but it's only very subtle and it even tastes a bit sweet (I had to lick my lips just to see!) it does last a good few hours which surprised me I didn't think it would have lasted long at all being a gloss. I love this and will buy again

Before discovering the Clarins Lip Perfector I was 100% not a lipgloss girl. I didn't just avoid lipgloss, but anything with a sheen, slightly glossy or creamy finish. My experience with any of these formulas had been a sticky, messy finish that enhanced the oilyness of my skin. Over the past six months the furthest I had ventured was a standard MAC lipstick formula, not matte, but certainly not glossy.

Then I discovered the Clarins Lip Perfector in Rosewood Shimmer. A mini version came with the Clarins GWP and after almost passing it on to my mother, I popped it on top of a Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencil (a bold, standard nude). The first things I noticed were the scent and the applicator. It has a sweet, vanilla scent that is subtle and expensive. The applicator is one of those furry little fellows, that provides a soft, easy application and allows for definition on the lip line. The packaging allows for every bit of product to be used. A little bit of product goes a long way when applied over a lip pencil and there is 100%, zero stickiness. It does transfer onto a glass if you are drinking whilst wearing this, but blotting with a tissue would solve this issue. It would last 2-3 hours at its best on the lips, before fading to the colour underneath.

I personally only combine this product with lipsticks or lip liners, because I either go all out or not at all with my lip products. This makes it very versatile as I can combine it with multiple shades. The Rosewood Shimmer shade is beautiful with nudes or pinks. This product is a gel rather than a gloss, which is difficult to explain. It is a thicker formula that gives lips a plumper appearance. I personally find that it appears classy and expensive looking and although it sounds crazy and OTT, I do think I look friendlier with this on my lips, rather than a matte finish.

Will I be repurchasing? YES. I will be purchasing the full sized Rosewood Shimmer when my deluxe sample size runs out. I will also be keeping an eye out for the Christmas packs with the set of smaller Lip Perfectors, as I find the size really handy and would love to try some more shades.

I never imagined myself liking a lipgloss. I think I used to stay away from them because I imagined them all to be gloopy sticky messes. But I am so wrong, the Clarins Lip Perfector is like liquid gold in a tube!

I got a mini version of Rosewood (06) in a GWP and loved everything about it. The applicator makes it so easy to use and its squeezable so you get every last bit of gloss out. Being a medium/darker skin tone, this shade looks amazing on my skin. The lipgloss itself isn't heavily pigmented, which I like as it blends in perfectly with my natural lips.

The best thing about the product is probably the scent. Think vanilla, mixed with caramel. When you apply it onto you lips the scent is noticeable, but goes away after a little while. Although its sweet, its not sickly sweet so it just smells delicious.

Luckily, the product isn't sticky at all. I always exfoliate my lips before I use the product, which allows it to be applied easily and smoothly. Without eating, it can last about 3 hours on your lips.

The only downside is, there aren't many shades that match my skin tones. The rest are mainly shades of pink which are all too pastel and light which would just wash me out. Hopefully Clarins comes out with some more soon!

I repurchased the product in the full size, and would definitely purchase it over and over again when I run out!

This is definitely, with no competition, my favourite lip product formular I have in my collection. It is so smooth and it does not feel like a lip gloss at all. It is not sticky, yet it does not budge and lasts all day. My hair actually does not get caught in it on a windy day and the colour range is so beautiful and naturally complementing. I love this.

I love the smell of this. I have a sample tube and love the slight colour and gloss it gives. It does need to be reapplied every maybe 2 hours. It also feels really good on the lips, smooth and non sticky and as wears it doesnt look weird. Unfortunately i will not buy it again because i do not think it's worth the price personally but if you have the money it is a good product

I have a couple of these treasures on the go at the moment. They do have a beautiful scent like many girls have already mentioned but what i love about the Clarins lip gloss range that i find different from many others is the silky, non sticky texture once it is on your lips and how easy it is to apply. The simple, compact tube and lip nub rule out any complications that i find happen with the wand types and also seems more hygienic.

Not entirely sure what the claims are for this product, but it is a really nice tinted lip balm depending of which shade you chose. The pigment is sheer, but some darker shades provides a really pretty sheer wash of colour to my lips with a glossy sheen. It is comfortable to wear and is not sticky at all. I already have 3 shades!

My darling Husband gifted me a couple of these lovely lip gels in a set for Christmas which also contained a lip oil and lipstick. I got the 01 shade which smells like strawberrys and the 06 shade, almost a choc/caramel scent. Easy to apply with a sponge type applicator attached to the tube and not sticky.

I absolutely love this one! My sister gave it to me to borrow - i may or may not have accidentally kept it for myself! The formula is perfect! The applicator is my favourite as it spreads the formula out easily on the lips. Feels great on the lips, doesn't dry out at all and isn't sticky whatsoever either. Absolutely recommend, i love mine.
