Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel

The packaging is attractive and stands out because of the red and silver colours used. There is a little silver spoon tucked into the box to remove the plumping beads so hands don't contaminate the contents.

The light pink beads are soft and melt into the skin without too much pressure needed. A little bit goes along way with this product, can feel greasy for a while so need about 20-30 minutes before you can put makeup on. I did notice that after about an hour my skin needed a bit more moisturizer so it's have to put my normal moisturizer on.

But this product definitely does what it says it does. My skin felt plumper and my fine lines seemed to reduced as well. My skin felt firmer after the first application and my skin was really smooth. This gave my makeup a really nice start, and helped it stay on longer.

I was very excited to try the Plumping Gel - I have definite fine lines and have been looking for a good collagen product. The gel is located in a really lovely looking pottle and has a gorgeous floral aroma. Inside are hundreds of little pink balls combined together by a thick liquid/gel. The product is supplied with a small metal spatula that can be used to remove the product from the pottle. I did have difficulty squashing the balls. Initially I tried to place them straight on my face and neck and move them around, expecting them to melt. I ended up with balls on the counter and floor! I then tried squashing them with my fingertips before placing them on my fact, but that still wasn't sufficient to avoid wastage. After a few days I started squashing them between the palms of my hand before transferring them to my face and this worked really well. I do believe the product "plumps" and fills in fine lines. I was really pleased with the way my skin looked when using the product. It took me a day or two to get used to a slight "taut" feeling, but then I actually began to enjoy it! I began the trial by using the gel morning and night. Unfortunately, I found the product quite drying for my skin and decided to try using it during the day only, reverting to my regular moisturiser at night. This reduced the dryness of my skin and I completed the rest of the trial in this manner. My skin is still drier than usual, but not significantly. I plan to continue using this product (once a day) but am not yet sure whether I will purchase a replacement once it is all used.

Upon opening the jar I thought it looked like it was crammed full of fish eggs!! Even though I'd seen photos of the 'pearls' I wasn't expecting them to be so....obvious!

First job was to get the little spatula off the lid and use it to scoop up some of the fish eggs. The spatula is a little fiddly. The packaging does suggest using fingers instead but I just can't make myself dive my fingers into the egg puddle!

Getting the right amount of eggs is a balancing act because a few go a long way! Initially I picked up too many but soon got it sussed. I wondered how the eggs were going to feel but as soon as they hit my skin is was like they melted. I was half expecting to find little pink egg skins all over my face but they just evaporated.

The gel (and eggs in their entirety) were absorbed super quickly into my skin. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a sign my skin is desperately thirsty! It didn't leave any greasiness or oiliness. I did have some occasional dry patches but they were very small and didn't last long.

Since using Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel my skin definitely feels tighter and looks brighter. I'd say it is definitely worth looking into if you're looking for something to lift your skin tone and condition. Those little fish eggs do a little bit of magic it seems

I was extremely excited to receive the Dr. Lewinn’s Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel as I haven't used any products in the Dr. Lewinn’s range before.

My first impression when opening the jar was that it looked similar to fish roe as the jar is filled with little pinkish white gel pearls. The jar also comes with a cute miniature metal spatula to scoop out the gel pearls. The directions advise you to use the spatula to scoop them out, or your fingertips if you’d prefer.

For my first attempt I tried using my fingertips and I scooped the gel pearls directly on to my face which didn’t quite go to plan. I lost a few gel pearls doing it that way. From then on I used the spatula and rubbed them into my palm a little bit before putting it on my face which seemed to work a lot better.

The gel pearls have a lovely fragrance and my skin felt silky smooth within minutes of putting it on. I can definitely feel an overall improvement in my skin, and my skin has a dewy look to it rather than the 'last week of school term' dull and tired look. I feel like I can see a slight improvement around my eyes and lips even though I’ve only used it for a couple of weeks. I’m quite excited to try using it for a couple of months to see if I can notice a more visible difference. I've been googling where to buy it and there seems to be quite a variation in price ($47-$85) so it is possible to buy it at a really reasonable price.

I would definitely recommend Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel if you are concerned about fine lines, wrinkles or dull and tired skin. I'd also recommend it if you just want a lovely moisturising plumping gel as part of your skin care routine.

This has been my favourite trial to date..I absolutely love this product! Packaging is eye catching in Red with Silver foil detailing and the jar has the same look. Reading the information on the box it boasts that it "instantly plumps & keeps skin taut", "..restores moisture & boosts dull, tired skin" and "skin is left feeling supple & silky smooth after use". Directions are very simple, using the enclosed spatula or fingertips scoop a small amount of product onto hand and apply to face and neck after cleansing and toning. Anyways, finally getting to the juicy stuff..I wasn't expecting what I saw when I opened the jar! Which is silly because it describes it on the packaging.. The product itself is an almost clear gel with small baby pink pearls - totally unlike anything I've used before! The jar contains 30g of product which is actually a fair bit. The scent is lovely, a soft slightly floral/creamy fragrance. I grabbed the cute little spatula and scooped out 10 little pearls, put it on my hand and placed on my face - tried to smooth over my cheek first but the little pearls are tricky and just dropped off so crushed them on my palm and then placed over my skin. Consistency is creamy and felt decadent as I smoothed it over my face and neck. Skin instantly felt silky. The following morning I noticed my most prominent forehead line had a softer appearance and my skin felt silky and my skins overall appearance looked refreshed. After first use I'm an instant fan. The following evenings I used 8 pearls instead which was a perfect amount. Overall I've enjoyed using this product and loved seeing the results - my skins overall texture feels finer and looks refreshed like I've had a good facial. My makeup glides on smoother and looks better than it usually does after a long day. This is going to be a staple in my daily skincare routine from now on. At 39 years old my skin really needs a boost and this provides it. Have never used a Dr.Lewinns product before now and want to explore more in this range after this trial. So if anyone is considering giving it a go I highly recommend it!

Ok soooo at first when I finally got the foil seal off (that sucker was super stuck) I actually thought ew it’s like fish cavier pearls haha.

I’m extremely sensitive to fragrances, the gel pearls smell nice , kind of perfume like and I’m not a fan of that but it does disappear fast.

After cleansing and toning I scooped out a small amount that fits into the scoop type spoon that comes with and just went straight into rubbing it on my face . Oh hell no I’m never using this again . There sat that this , elegant packaged jar of pretty pearls on my vanity shelf for two days.

I decided to give it another go and this time I sandwiched my hands together until the pearls melted. Applied as per usual with my skincare routine, holy cow Batman! What is this genius stuff?!?!?

It melted into my skin!!! Like nothing I’ve ever used before. My Daughter asked me on day 6 , why is my skin glowing? She said it’s not fair how you have such nice skin . Wait what! The grumpy teen complemented my skin?!

Yes she did! My skin was actually glowing , I was asked by my clients what am I using because my skin looks luminous. Hmmm maybe I should bath in this stuff?

I really love the Jar colours , it’s super appealing and really to unscrew . I do have carpal tunnel in both so that’s always a bonus but getting the seal off was like wrestling with a toddler at nap time.

The gel once the pearls are melted is really soft ,silky and very hydrating . Twice per day , morning and night with your skincare routine . The hydration lasts all day!

I didn’t notice plumping , maybe after a month of use there might be , but the glow is 100% worth it! You won’t regret it! BUY IT

Dr. LeWinn’s Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel is fabulous!

The packaging is distinctive with it's red and silver branding, but surprisingly contains a plastic pot for a higher end product. It does come with a wee metal scoop which is a hygienic way to scoop out the product and limit the amount you use. 

Inside it contains a gorgeous light gel loaded with collagen pearls that left my skin feeling really revitalised and plump. I did struggle somewhat with the pearls - they do not dissolve readily and until I got used to using the product I was left with some still on my face or even falling off. But once you massage them in, the feeling is divine. 

The creamy gel is so thick and nourishing yet glides on easily. I think I was using far too much in the first week, but it is just so lush and feels great. I started using the spatula in the second week as the pot emptied out and it was trickier to scoop up the product with my fingers, and in fact I think it is better not to use so much, I still got the same effect on my skin using half the product. 

There is only a faint scent in this product, not one I would say is lovely but not too unpleasant either. It's more of a faint smell reminiscent of old lotions from your Nana's era ;)

With only two weeks to trial this product before the review was due, I used it morning and night, and feel like my skin is more smoothed out, supple and hydrated. I look forward to continued use to see how my skin improves further. 

Would definitely buy again as the product absolutely did what it said it would. This review only lost points due to the pearls being difficult to apply and the faint scent that was not especially appealing to me.

Unfortunately two weeks in I haven't seen any visible results in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I have been using this morning and night as recommended. My skin does feel softer however, so the moisturizing side is obviously working. One major downfall of this product was I found it very difficult to apply to the face. I found the pearls kept wanting to escape my face to the floor, before they had a chance to be absorbed into the skin, they definitely didn't melt upon contact as they were meant to. However, I will be interested to see if this product shows any results when the four week mark is up. Thank you for the opportunity to try this :)

It's not often I find a skincare product that has me saying "where and how much?" in a short span of time. To preface, although I don't have many fine lines or wrinkles, I do have some and I used those on my forehead and neck as the baseline to see what this product could do. In addition, I have oily sensitive skin that was looking a little tired and dull.

The lightly scented product is made up of milky pink pearls coated in a gel and comes with a small weighted spatula. I wasn't keen on the spatula because it's an additional step that just makes it inconvenient but I learned that I actually needed it.

It took me a few days to figure out which application worked best for me. Attempt 1 - Scooped small amount, placed / rubbed in palms then applied to face and neck (nope, wastage). Attempt 2 - Scooped small amount, placed in palm then painstakingly put the pearls in key areas then rubbed into skin (nope, depletion of patience guaranteed) and last attempt (and winner) - Scooped exact amount of pearls for one key area at a time, placed on skin then rubbed into skin (approximately 15 pearls in total). It sounds awfully precious but it's actually quick, no wastage and..the big price tag encouraged me!

The product is absorbed relatively quickly (<1 min) with no greasy residue which is important when it comes to my oily skin. It creates a lovely smooth canvas for makeup or just a natural healthy looking fresh face. Over the past few days, the fine lines have started to fade both on my forehead and neck so I'm very excited to see the results once I finished the product.

I’ve tried Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel for a week now and have been using it morning and night after cleansing. The product comes in a lovely jar with a wee metal spatula so you aren't sticking your fingers in it. The Gel smells beautiful, fresh and floral but not overpowering and the smell dissipates quickly. The Gel has these wee pink creamy collagen pearls that dissolve when rubbed on your skin. My skin felt wonderfully nourished after using it. I usually use a gel hyaluronic acid but it absorbs quickly into the skin but the Dr LeWinns makes my skin feel way more nourished. I still put my moisturiser on after using this as my skin is always thirsty but some days I don't need to. My skin is definitely more hydrated and plumper than normal so this product is perfect for my skin. My fine lines have disappeared for sure. I'd highly recommend this to anyone that's any age - I am 57.
