I use the shampoo of this range and thought I’d give the treatment a go. First off it’s super heavy so if you have fine hair or hair that you find gets greasy easily I don’t think you’ll enjoy this product. I’m the opposite of that so I loooovved it! It’s very thick and you don’t need a lot. I shampoo, use this and seal with a conditioner (I’ll tell you why in the tips below). It feels amazing rinsing it out and leaves my hair noticeably softer and less frizzy. I use about once a week. Definitely will repurchase and definitely recommend to others with dry frizzy hair.

Tips: Little basic hair theory from hairdressing school I think everyone should know. Shampoo first…twice. Then follow with the deep treatment. This is because shampooing opens the cuticle to clean it (they’re like microscopic scales that sit over your hair keeping the hair shaft safe) so while it’s open is when you use your deep treatment because it allows it to penetrate into the hair shaft better. After rinsing you follow with your conditioner because this seals the cuticle and closes it to reduce damage and leave your hair smooth. Cool water also helps.
This is excellent quality, I have bleached blonde hair and my hair much rather prefers the K pac range opposed to this. If you have natural hair that isn't dyed or blacked then this would be perfect!
When I don’t have this product in my collection I always miss it! It is such a beautiful hair mask, I love the smell and my hair is so shiny and bouncy afterwards!
I love this and it’s affordable - bonus!
I suffered with dry hair for about 6-9 months due to changes in climate when moving to Australia. My hair dresser recommended this product and boy did it work!!! It’s been about 3-4 months now and my hair is feeling so much healthier
Tips: A little goes a long way.. you only need a small amount and try not to use too much as it can leave an oily feeling in the hair
I had such brittle damaged blonde hair and I was using this treatment balm as a conditioner. It was so good. My hair absorbed it well and it didn't leave any residue behind. Brilliant! My hair didn't even go greasy the next day which happens a lot with other treatments.
To be fair, the entire Moisture Recovery range from Joico is really good and I use it all the time. When the shops open I will be back in to get more of my treatment balm!
Tips: Don't be afraid to leave it on a bit longer than recommended.
I got this on sale and so please I did. It has revitalised my super dry and damaged hair. It is less frizzy and I can actually run my hands through my hair without them catching in my frazzled ends now.
Super happy with this.
I have gone through two bottles of this and I will continue to purchase this as long as it is for sale.
This hair treatment is in a very generous 250ml squeeze bottle tube which I really like as it is easy to get the perfect amount and not in a tub how many other brands package their treatments. The bottle is sleek and shiny blue in colour.
The formula of the treatment is an intensive hydrating thick balm which melts into my hair, it reminds me of paw paw ointment. The treatment is so lush, it leaves my hair so silky smooth, fly aways are tamed, and this is the only product I have found that gives my hair shine for days on end, I am so glad to have found this affordable treatment that truly works wonders for my hair.
The fragrance is so lovely and lasts on my hair all day, after a 5 min treatment once a fortnight or if my hair is feeling particularly dry and in need of some extra moisture.
I landed on Joico about a year ago and haven't looked back, however when I started using this product my hair truly fell in love. I use it instead of my conditioner and my hair has never felt the same. It's an awesomely hydrating product and I've actually just used the last of my tube so am due to find aanother and I notice a difference using just my normal Joico products. A little seems to go a long way and I never feel like I've got a build up. My hair is curly and prone to be dry so absolutely recommend this for people who have moisture as their main aim.
Tips: If you get greasy easily then you won't like this. I apply mostly to my ends and then work it through the rest of my hair after a few minutes.
I have a 50ml travel sized tube of this. The texture of this like the name suggests is a balm but when you smooth this on your lengths it dissolves to a cream conditioner. The scent of this is a fresh floral sort of scent. I have really long hair so while my scalp is oily the ends are dry. This is a really handy hair treatment that I can use in the shower. I like to use this whenever I need to wash my hair but it's a bit dry at the ends. I did have my concerns since this is recommended for thick/coarse dry hair and my hair is fine and but it hasn't left my hair limp since it all rinses out pretty well. I don't think it's increased the shine in my hair though. I do think a full-sized tube is pretty good for the price since the product is thick I don't use as much as I would with other deep conditioning treatments. I do have quite a few uses left in my small tube but I would consider purchasing a full-sized tube when I run out.
Tips: If I'm going to wash my hair I like to shampoo it first when I first get in the shower, rinse and squeeze out the water then apply this to the lengths and comb through it with my in shower Tangle Teezer. I think even fine hair could use this because when it emulsifies with water it thins out. You don't need as much as you would a regular deep conditioner because the product is more concentrated.
I have used this on and off for the past 8 years. It actually works, I love to use it after I have coloured my hair especially. It actually DOES what it says it’s meant to do, my hair feels so soft, shiny and way less dry after using this…and the smell of it…it’s like a spa it truly is the most beautiful scent. And the price tag is wonderful!
