Recently I ran out of my favourite Joyce Blok sunscreen, and I had been annoyed with that for a while as it is a bit big for travelling.
I like the packaging in particular as it is nice and compact. Easy to squeeze to get product out. In particular I like that the nozzle is quite small so heaps of product doesn’t come out too much at once.
The product itself is quite liquidy so it does spread over the skin nicely. It does smell a wee bit, but at least it sinks in fast so the smell dissapears as well. I also adore that this is SPF50+ as well as being both UVA and UVB coverage. Perfect for my extra pale skin.
Only downside for this is a small tube, so it is certainly only for the face and not your body. This isn’t enough to stop me using this as I already have a fav spray on sunscreen for the body, and I plan on repurchasing.
I bought this last summer. My skin is sensitive and can be quite reactive. I use a lot of Avene but had seen this range compared quite favourably online with Avene, so was excited to see it on shelves in Aotearoa. I was looking for a new facial sunscreen, and after talking to staff at the pharmacy, bought this. The bottle is quite small and square and flat. Which is useful for ease of transportation. The fluid inside is thinnish and has a very light scent. I have found out that sometimes, when companies remove a scent to make an unscented product, the extra ingredients can be more irritating to skin than if they had left the scent in. French products, on the whole, do not remove scents. And i do think that this is a major point of difference. The lotion is easily absorbed and i can wear makeup after a setting time, but it almost evens out my skin tone as well, so don't often wear makeup with this. I have never been burnt with it on, which is a good indicator to me of its efficacy. There is no tacky, or oily feel after application, in fact sometimes I forget that I have sunscreen on. Will definitely repurchase. Not sure about the price advertised here. I bought mine for under $20.
Tips: Use it!
