La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Eye Serum

I was lucky to receive this as part of a trial team. Like other La Roche Posay products I have tried the eye serums packaging was simple but sleek, I do like their style. The applicator was a droplet wand with a rollerball on the end, the idea being you squeeze a small amount of product into the wand, wipe off the excess and apply the serum to your skin.

Firstly, the positives. I do like a rollerball applicator and found it cooling against my skin, which helped with puffiness around my eyes in the morning. The serum itself didn’t appear to have much of a fragrance and was a lightweight liquid which felt very hydrating against the skin. I do agree the serum made my skin feel nourished and more radiant.

The downside? I really disliked the applicator. I felt like it took up too much product and even with wiping off the excess I still got drops of it coming off the wand and I felt it ended up using more serum than needed. I’m also not a fan of using the rollerball on my skin and then dipping it back into the remaining serum, it feels less hygienic to me.

I wouldn’t purchase this myself but if the applicator didn’t sound like an issue for you then the serum itself is nice enough and it is an affordable option for an eye product.

Do I really need a serum just for my eyes? After using this blue gem of a product the answer is...yes!

This is easy to apply and absorbs well. I like to use it morning and night before my moisturiser. In the morning it makes my eyes feel refreshed and awake and at night it soothes my tired eyes.

This has had a noticeable effect on my crows feet, smoothing out the wrinkles rather nicely!

I really like this product. The roller is really nice and smooth on my skin and it doesn't feel like it drags my skin when I roll it along. The syrum it's self is lovely and thin and soaks into my skin really well and I don't feel like there's a residue left on top of my skin afterwards. I havent really seen any results around my eyes but I definitely notice my eyes get less puffy very quickly in the morning after using it, they usually take about half an hour to de-puff but after using this serum it's about 10 mins. I will keep using this product and will come back with an updated review if I see any results.

Really like this eye serum, However it's not a favourite, It does moisturize really well, I did notice a difference my dark circles became lighter, The only down side about this little gem, It takes awhile for the serum to soak into your skin, apart from that its amazing 😍 I'll post another review in a week's time hopefully I really see the difference. Love it 😍

I haven't noticed any difference over all in my under eye area but I do like how it leaves my skin feeling right after and applying with the roller is very soothing. It does leave a not so pleasant residue on my skin like a face mask peel also.

Before I get to my review, I want to thank Beauty Review for the opportunity to be on the trial team for this product. I am a huge follower and a loyalist of La Roche Posay's skincare line. Alright, let's get started. As expected, I am impressed with the packaging of this product. La Roche has a signature touch that makes its packaging feel luxurious, chic, and fancy. It's very considerate that the product comes with a dropper and a roller, making it even more convenient. The roller becomes convenient as it will become your eye massager while giving it the hydration boost it needs. (Although I must've been using the roller too fast at times, I tend to pinch the skin around my eyes -yes, both sides sometimes, and it hurts for a second, but bearable. Lol 😂). It's also a plus that it is fragrance-free, and the serum's consistency is spot on — not too runny nor thick. It takes some time for my skin to absorb the product thoroughly, so I gave it four out of five stars. Even though I enjoy my daily skincare routine, I often have a busy schedule and don't have much time to spare in the mornings or evenings. Adding an extra five to ten minutes to my routine can be challenging. I believe that good things come to those who wait, and I must admit that this saying applied to my experience of trying this serum. It takes time to see results, but it was worth it. It wasn't until my third night of using it that I started to see results on my under-eye skin. Initially, I was sceptical because the initial change I noticed was just a slight skin lightening without much plumping. However, by the sixth day, I could see a noticeable difference. And I wasn't the only one who noticed a difference on the eighth day. One of my colleagues, whom I see regularly, even on weekends and holidays due to the nature of our work, remarked that the skin under my eyes looked clearer. She even asked if I had started using concealer, which surprised me. Because we see each other often, a subtle change in my appearance might be hard to notice, but my friend did. I usually wear little makeup besides lip tint, so her comment and inquiry indicate that this serum is effective. If you decide to try this serum, keep going even if you don't see changes in your skin immediately. It may take up to a month before you notice any results, but give your skin time to adjust and settle. Eventually, you will see that the serum does have an effect. If you are not experiencing any adverse reactions to the product, wait patiently for the serum's magic to work. I am considering applying this serum not just under my eyes but to my entire face, and I am not kidding. Lol. 😂😂

I was given the awesome opportunity to try this Eye Serum and I was extremely happy to try and write a review about it!

I have been using this serum religiously in the morning and night time. I'm not new to eye serums at my age. My eyelids get dry and I can see those fine lines showing. I heard good reviews before about this product and I have used another La Roche Posay facial serum, so I was not a newby and, oh yes, this eye serum did not disappoint at all!

The product comes in a small bottle with a massage roller to depuff and cool the eyelid area. It is fantastic you feel the hydration. I have noticed visible changes. I love this product and I would like to buy it again!

The retail price is around $50 to $60 dollars. Do your research and find a good price.

The price is a bit high, but the product is worth it for this price and you will need just 1 or 2 drops

I am not a big fan of eye creams and serums, but the La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Eye Serum was surprisingly nice.

The bottle comes with a separate applicator that you can then screw onto the bottle top. While sitting on my vanity, I've left the applicator on the bottle, but it doesn't feel like a particularly good fit, so if travelling, I'd probably replace with the original lid.

That for me was the number one design flaw. I don't want two lids give me one with an applicator and save on both environmental impact and my frustration levels.

The roller ball at the bottom of the applicator was a nice touch. Rolling the product into the skin was relaxing and did have that more luxe skin treatment feel.

The product itself was like many serums a little sticky, and did need a little bit of working into the skin, but was overall reasonably absorbing.

Now let's look at the claims:

- Instant cooling and massaging effect with the roller: Yes, the roller provided a light massage, and cold product is often cooling anyway. - The hydrating serum makes the skin around the eye feel nourished: Yes I'd say it nourished and hydrated the skin while applied. - It made the skin look more firm or replumed: Not so much, it looked exactly the same to me. - The eye area looks more revitalised and radiant: Again, just looked the same to me.

All in all I would say it topped my list of eye serums due to the roller applicator and that it seemed reasonable gentle on the skin. But like any plumping product I've tried, it's not a miracle worker.

I have been using La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Eye Serum for about two weeks now. I can definitely feel the difference. I can feel my skin around my eyes are tighter, and plump. I can also see less puff and wrinkles. Will definitely use them again.

In just a few weeks I have seen results with this serum! My skin around my eyes and nose looks more hydrated and happy. Fine lines are slowly fading as my skin appears more “plumpy”. The applicator is unique - a wand-like applicator with a roller ball. The roller ball itself feels nice but the applicator wand has excess product which drips - and I don’t want to waste any of this liquid gold so I usually apply more than what is needed to make sure I make the most of this serum. The consistency is great when applying - it spreads easily, and as it dries it causes a bit of a stiffening, but it is short lived and feels better once my night cream or day cream has been applied over.

Overall, I am chuffed with this serum and it definitely delivers on what it claims it can do - it has improved the appearance of my fine lines and have made my skin more hydrated and happy!
