Very surprised by this one from Olay, usually I find their products heavily perfumed to the point of unusability, but this moisturizer had a nice light fragrance, not at all overpowering. The packaging is pretty enough, a nice deep red, but there is a lot of unnecessary plastic In the double walled pottle. The moisturiser itself is somewhere between a gel and cream. Not too heavy but you feel like you’ve applied something worthwhile. It feels a bit tacky on the skin for a little while after application, but once this dries/soaks in it leaves a lovely soft finish. In the 3 weeks of use, my skin has felt nicely hydrated throughout, not dry spells. But I did not notice any change in fine lines. This was definitely a middle of the road moisturizer for me. No built in SPF is extremely off putting as a day cream, but fine as a night cream. Personally, I will finish the pot, but I would not purchase this moisturiser.

Reviews
The box for the Olay Regenerist Antioxidant Moisturiser looks really big, and makes you expect an extra large tub of moisturiser, but it is actually misleading. The inside of the box is partly filled in with more cardboard, so that the average size tub of moisturiser does not rumble around inside it. I find this very disappointing as it also causes unnecessary waste. The instructions on the tub are nice and clear for how to use the moisturiser itself, however they do not mention how to use the cream together with other products in the range, such as the serum that I have been using at the same time. I had to look up the Olay website for this information, but I still could not find out what the benefits are of using several of the products in the range together. Looking just at the descriptions of the packaging, the moisturiser and serum do exactly the same thing. The moisturiser tub itself is very pretty and sturdy. The creme is bright white, and has a really nice, light consistency. I have only used the moisturiser together with the serum, but I think it would also be really nicely hydrating on its own. Given that the creme needs to be used together with an SPF in the daytime, it would be really nice if it already had an SPF added to it. As mentioned, I have only used the moisturiser with the serum, but even together I have not observed any changes to my skin that I would describe as “younger looking”. So far I have not had much luck with Olay anti-ageing products, but I have always really liked their regular moisturisers, especially the ones with SPF
This is a creamy texture like usual creams have. I thought it felt really light when I took it from the bottle into palm of my hand. So I combined the Olay antioxidant serum and this cream for my skin routine for about 5 days and 5 nights. I felt it releases a lot of oil on my combination skin by the time its time to wake up. I tried using it just during 3 nights with the serum and it had my skin oily next mornings. I did feel the less oily parts of my skin as very hydrated though. But the oily parts started breaking out and got some acne out of using this moisturiser. Even when I used just a pea size. I am sure it must suit someone with very dry skin or dry skin. But this one is not for me. And I had to stop using after 8 days of use. I gave it most benefit of doubt even when I had acne after the 3rd day of use.
The packaging is alright and the second white handle protective lid beneath the main lid, is hard to pick up as the bottle creates suction once closed. So when you pick it, hard one there. However not too bad.
I prefer gel based moisturisers and this one is not for me. But thanks BR for the trial.
I have been using this moisturiser morning and night for over 3 weeks now. I apply after Olay antioxidant serum, the two work nicely together. It has a pleasant smell and is quite thick. You dont need to use very much. I find it a really good moisturiser for during the day but feel at night time that I need something a little thicker and more nourishing for my skin. It rubs in easily but feels a little sticky afterwards. My skin is certainly hydrated and feels smooth. I think for me I would use it only for daytime use.
Tips: Watch out for the wee plastic lid inside as can easily fall into the moisturser and then it goes everywhere.
The moisturiser is nice, but I would go for the serum if you want potent ingredients with results. The moisturiser has a nice texture, great for combination to normal skin. But it really just stops there. I could easily find a cheaper moisturiser that does what I need because most of the effective ingredients are already provided in the corresponding serum.
Tips: Try the serum instead of the moisturiser.
I would always prefer a pump or tube or some other hygienic packaging rather than a jar, and Olay's jars are particularly bad with that hard-to-remove, vacuum-sticky, tiny-handled inside lid. But that aside, this is a nice, medium-light-weight cream with a pleasant, mildly citrus scent. It spreads easily, sinks in nicely and leaves my skin feeling comfortable and moisturised.
Unfortunately, my previous cream was the Olay Luminous AHA. I loved that one so much that I thought I'd try this Antioxidant version, which is supposed to be more targeted for dryness and wrinkles (my main issues). However, I find it less hydrating (my skin feels dry again a few hours later, even though I pile it on), less plumping and less smoothing than the AHA one was. For me, it's simply a pleasant moisturiser. Nothing more.
I think it could work for me in summer, when my skin's less needy, and it could be perfect for someone with less dry skin, as it's a lovely cream to use, but I likely won't be buying this one again.
Tips: Probably worth trying if your skin's in the 'normal' range.
This cream is very lotion like in texture. White and smelling strongly with a fruity scent that doesn't linger, this product comes in the standard Olay jar. I used this twice a day with the matching serum for over two weeks. Moisturises well, but if you use too much, it does tend to feel sticky. I found the amount that covered my fingerpad to be the perfect size. No added sunscreen is a bonus to me, as I find sometimes you can be lulled into a false sense of security when one is added. I prefer to ise a separate sunscreen.
Tips: Add a dedicated sunscreen on top in the daytime.
I found this a nice moisturiser, lovely smell and it absorbs very quickly. I noticed a slight difference with my skin but not enough for it to be very noticeable.
Is a nice moisturiser. It made my face feel soft and smooth without the Shiney sticky feel. My skin felt and looked hydrated straight after but that nice hydrated feel didnt last for too long. I felt like after an hour or so i needed to apply more. It absorbed nicely into my skin when applying. It has a nice subtle scent to it. It comes in a classy looking pottle but I do prefer tube packaging for its better hygiene. It was a nice product but I feel it wasn't quite suited to my skin. My skin is normal to combination. It's worth a try but I don't think I will repurchase xx
I really really wanted to like this moisturiser. The description sounded good, like a solid moisturiser with added benefits and as I near the end of my 30's, it seemed like it would be a great addition to my skincare routine. The jar has a solid feel with a nice tight seal. The cream inside is thick, white and is heavily fragrance. I don't mind a nice scent but this was quite overpowering. I used this moisturiser every night for 12 days but I just felt that it left my skin greasy and congested. It says on the jar that you can use it as a day cream too but I feel like it was far too thick for that. As a standard moisturiser for someone with really dry skin it would probably be ok but I don't think it goes above and beyond considering the price.
Tips: Would suit someone with dry skin who doesn't mind fragrance
