Olay Niacinamide + AHA Serum

Spoiler. I love this serum. Olay are really impressing me with their skin care, and are now officially not a brand for oldies. Well unless I'm old and just right in their target market now haha.

Let's start with the results. After using this serum for six weeks, I noticed that my skin looked brighter, smoother, and more even-toned. The niacinamide and alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) work together to exfoliate away dead skin cells and promote collagen production, which means fewer fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, it helps to minimize the appearance of pores, which is a godsend for my oily skin.

This serum is so lightweight and absorbs into my skin like a dream. I love how it feels on my face - like a refreshing burst of hydration without any sticky residue. It's the perfect addition to my morning and nighttime skincare routine, and it plays nicely with my other products.

One more thing: the price point on this serum is chef's kiss. It's affordable without skimping on quality, which means I can slather it on without feeling guilty. And let's be real, who doesn't love saving some coin while still looking like a snack?

I am absolutely obsessed with this serum! I have been using a different serum but have recently seen the benefits of niacinamide on my combination skin so couldn’t pass this up. The packaging is nice, and the box has a tamper proof seal. The bottle is nice and heavy, and the dropper isn’t that cheap, sticky silicone you sometimes get. I feel like the dropper dispenses the perfect amount for my face and neck, which is a big difference to the dropper on my last Olay serum. The serum itself is beautiful. It has a really light fruity scent which I honestly didn’t notice once it had dried. It also didn’t react to the sensitive areas around my eyes which was a plus! The serum dries really nice and isn’t sticky. I didn’t notice a difference right away, but started to see results about a week later. My face was brighter, and any exisiting dark spots were gone. I did notice them come back the next morning if I skipped a face wash before bed though. Overall, I would definitely purchase this once my current bottle runs out. Hopefully they come out with a cleanser and toner to match!!

Pros:

I have been using this for a few weeks now, and I’ve visibly noticed a big difference in my skin. It is more even, clear and bright and I have not been breaking out with any spots like I usually would coming into the colder months. Definitely will continue using and buying in future!

I haven't used niacinamide before so jumped at the chance to try this.

The pump on the bottle took a bit of figuring out but once I mastered that it became easier to use.

The serum itself is lovely and light without too much fragrance, it also doesnt leave a sticky residue.

I have very dry skin so I needed to use more product than the instructions, but my skin did feel hydrated and soft all day. It was a pity it ran out due to my skins need for more, as I would have liked to see if there was more of a change in my skin.

Visually my skin looked softer and brighter, but there was no noticeable change in my pores nor was there a huge change in discolouration. But in saying that, I probably needed to use it for longer to get the full benefit.

Overall I did really like this serum and I would definitely use it again. It's gentle enough that I feel someone with sensitive skin could use it.

I've used the Olay "pump" bottles before so I wasn't confused by how it works this time, but for new users, it can be a bit confusing the first time. Simply untwist the cap, pump once then open it fully and pump again to dispense(google can help here). The serum itself is slightly fruity smelling, and is a white, semi opaque serum. Non greasy, and applies beautifully. I have noticed a slight decrease in colour some of the dark spots on my face, but they haven't gone completely. I will keep using though and report back if it changes further. I am really liking all the Olay products I have tried so far.

My mature skin soaked up this creamy serum that comes packaged in an attractive bottle. After just using it for a couple of weeks, the plumping around my mouth was just next level, and my skin was glowing as well. The texture of my skin was smooth and I could see that some acne marks has gone lighter. This serum is a keeper in my daily routine.

I highly recommend this serum.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the box packaging and the product packaging!!!! Who ever designed them have an eye for detail, beauty and highend looks.

This was a beautiful product!!!! It smells beautiful like a highend fresh apple just like the moisture. The consistency is the a very thin lotion with a white transparent look to it. A small amount goes along way and makes my skin feel extra soft and smooth, it has a slight cooling effect when rubbed into the skin It absorbeds nicely into the skin and leaves a smooth hydrating, slightly tacky feel. My skin after the trial was so much nicer, brightener looking, soft, hydrated and smooth. (I even had compliments on my skin without makeup on) This product did NOT break me out. This product worked amazing under makeup and worked amazing with the moisture. Highly recommend

I really wanted to like this serum, but it's just not for me. I've used Niacinimide & AHAs seperately so I was really excited at the prospect of them being combined into one super serum, but I just didn't find it all that effective. It didn't do anything for the hormonal acne on my chin, and more than anything I found the smell so overwhelming. It is so sweet, and so strong - I felt like I was rubbing an Ariana Grande perfume into my face. The formulation was nice and it did absorb nicely into my skin, but I just can't get past the smell personally, so won't be repurchasing.

I have been really enjoying this serum alongside the moisturiser from Olay. The texture is great - not too thin, but not too thick or sticky either, and the two products work well together without any pilling. I have noticed that my skin has had a less uneven texture, though I haven't been using this one long enough to notice a reduction in hyper-pigmentation just yet! I'm looking forward to continuing to use the serum/moisturiser combo over the longer term to see if the results compound!
